考点一Practice English 练习英语(P54)

【用法归纳】practice的用法

practice为名词，意为“练习，训练”，既可作可数名词又可作不可数名词。practise是它的动词形式，有时也写作practice,常用于practise something或doing something结构中。如：

He practises playing the violin every day, and now he can play it quite well.他每天练习拉小提琴，现在已经拉得非常好了。

考点二 Then it was time to go home.接下来该回家了。(P58)

【用法归纳】It’s time to do something句型

It’s time to do something意为“该做某事了；是做某事的时间了”。类似的常见表达还有：It’s time for something或Time for something“该做某事了”； It’s time for sb to do something“某人该做某事了”。如：

Oh, it is time for me to leave. 哦,我该走了。

It is time for school.等于It is time to go to school. 该上学了。

考点三I found a small boy crying in the corner. 我发现一个小男孩在拐角哭。(P63) 【用法归纳】find的用法

find somebody doing something意为“发现某人正在做某事”。如：

I found a group of children playing on the playground. 我发现一群孩子正在操场上玩耍。

【知识拓展】

find所构成的复合宾语结构有：

◆find＋宾语＋形容词。如：I find the book very interesting. 我发现这本书很有趣。

◆find加宾语＋名词。如：

Our teacher found him a clever boy. 我们老师发现他是个聪明的男孩。

◆find加宾语＋to be＋形容词。如：

We have found him (to be) a dishonest person. 我们发现他是一个不诚实的人。

◆find加 it加形容词加 to do something。如：

I find it necessary to get a map while traveling. 我发现旅行的时候有必要带一张地图。

考点四 I have too many rules in my house. 我在家有太多的规则。(P75)

【用法归纳】辨析too many, too much与much too

这三个词都是与too有关的词组，虽结构上相似，但具体修饰对象不同。区别如下：

◆too many用来修饰可数名词复数。如：

He has got too many questions to ask you．他有很多问题要问你。

◆too much用来修饰不可数名词, too much还可作名词性短语，用作宾语；也可作副词性短语，在句中用作状语，修饰动词。如：

We both have too much work to do.我们俩都有很多工作要做。

He talked too much at the meeting， didn’t he？他在会上讲得太多了，不是吗？

◆much too用来修饰形容词或副词。如：

You are walking much too fast. Slow down．你走得太快了，慢点。

I am afraid that this cap is much too big for me．这顶帽子我戴恐怕太大了。
