Late regrets

I?ve read many stories about family memories. In those stories, I?ve found voices of sadness and longing(渴望). It is true ___46___ so much in our daily lives makes us busy all the time. We have less and less time to spend with our families and friends. I?ve had the 47 experience myself.

I used to spend happy times with my grandfather when we lived together. When I was very young, I often enjoyed his garden, looking at the blooms (花) and watering his fruit trees. As I 48 , I gradually started to become self-centered.

Once, when I was 6, I went out shopping with him. As he and I took the wrong bus and got lost outside, I couldn?t stay calm and shouted rudely in his face. And I didn?t say sorry to him 49 returning home, believing that I had done nothing wrong.

I know now how ridiculous (荒谬的)I was at that time. I now realize 50 late it was when I finally said it was my fault! Yet, when I 51 wanted to express my regret, my grandfather had left me forever, leaving me with no more chances to apologize for my mistake. I couldn?t 52 even the three simplest words: “I am sorry.”

We are spending more and more time at school, while little time is left for us to spend at home with our families. So make the most of every second you still have with your loved 53 , because time keeps going, waiting for no one.

each picture. When the pictures are shown very q 82 , one after another, it looks like the girl is running. Walt Disney was not the first or only one person to use animation in movies, but he is the most

meet the public!

hot movie that it grossed(收入总计)$347 million for a worldwide total.

For your teacher, he or she wants to make sure that you always get along with others in a polite way, and you try your best to learn. For you, you want a teacher who answers your questions and tries to help you learn. You can get along with your teacher without being friends with him or her, although it?s nice if that happens.

2013上海中考英语一模阅读理解 ACN Choose the best answer(根据短文内容,选择最恰当的答案):(12分) James shook his money box again. Nothing! He carefully counted the coins that lay on the bed. $24.17 was all that he had. The bicycle he wanted was at least $90! How was he going to get the end of the money? He knew that his friends all had bicycles. It was hard to hang around(闲逛) with people when you were the only one without wheels. He thought about what he could do. It was no use asking his parents, for he knew they had no money to save. There was only one way to get money, and that was to earn it. He would have to find a job. But who would hire him and what could he do? He decided to ask Mr. Clay for advice, who usually had opinions on most things. “Well, you can start right here,” said Mr. Clay. “My windows need cleaning and my car needs washing.” That was the beginning of James’ part-time job. For three months he worked every day after finishing his homework. He was amazed by the variety of jobs that people found for him to do. He took dogs and babies for walks, cleared out cupboards, and mended books. He lost count of the number of cars he washed and windows he cleaned, but the money increased and he knew that he would soon have enough for the bicycle he was eager to have. The day finally came when James counted his money and found $94.32. He wasted no time and went down to the shop to pick up the bicycle he wanted. He rode proudly home, looking forward to showing his new bicycle to his friends. It had been hard working for the money, but James knew that he valued his bicycle far more since he had bought it with his own money. 74.James in the passage was probably ________.
