Good morning, ladies and gentlemen:

Nice to meet you here.Today I?m very pleased to have an opportunity to talk about some of my teaching ideas. First,I would like to introduce myself.My number is ,I work as a English teacher in a foreign language school.The topic of this unit is “”,students learn to . My speech contains 6 parts as follows.

1.The analysis of teaching material:

My speech is Section A , Unit . This is an important lesson in Book One.The main theme of is , students are required to learn how to .This unit focuses on training students' oral ability, raises the students? command of language using,communication,reading comprehension.

2.The analysis of students? study situation:

The 7th grade Students felt fresh about learning English, but some are afraid of it or lack confidence after they learn English during their primary school.

3.Learning methods.

Preview before class

Teamwork, participation to reach the goal.

Cultivate skills in listening, speaking, reading and expressing.

Students-centered and teacher-guided learning strategies.

4.Teaching aims:

(1)Aims on the knowledge:

To study the words about

To make the students know how to ask and how to answer it.

(2)Aims on the abilities:

To develop the students' ability of listening ,speaking, reading and writing.

To train the students' ability of communication.

(3)Aims on the emotion:

To make the students be interested in good co-operation and competition.

To make the students love life.

Step 2:lead in 6?

I will show some pictures to the students,let them say the words and spell them.

e.g. T: hello, everybody, last time we have learnt something about , do you still remember the words we have learned?( show the cards to students) and then ask what?s this in English?

Ss: It?s an apple.

T: can you spell it ?

Ss: A-P-P-L-E.

After show all the pictures,T:where can we buy all these things?

In a supermarket?then draw the students? attention to the prices.

Step 3:presentation 10?

Activity1: Learn new words

First , I…ll use some pictures to teach new words : Show some famous star?s photos to teach new words . such as Yao Ming . He is tall . He has short hair . and then let students ask and answer with the pictures, Then do 1a match the words with the pictures . finish1b, listen and fill in the blanks . Students read the conversation together .

Activity2:learn the new sentence structure

Here I?ll introduce the new language : What does he look like ? He is _______ . He h as ________ . e.g.

I will let the students use the new sentence structure to make free conversation.look at the picture on page ,

Activity3: listening

In this part we?ll finish 2a and 2b . This activity provides guided listening and writing practice usin g the target language .first listen and circle the correct word, either is or has, When they hear it in the conversation. and then point at the chart in 2b, listen and complete it .

Activity4:Game

Describe someone in the class . Ask your classmates to guess who he is describing.Work in groups . and at last find which group has the most right answers and they are the champion then give them a flag .

Step 4:Practice 15?

Complete the dialogue with new words to describe . then write a new conversation .

Step 5:Sum and Test 5?

Review the grammar box . Ask students to read the questions and answers . Point out some important things : I?m , they?re , he?s and she?s with description of height and build .

Step 6:Homework . 5?

Write a short passage about your good friends ,mother or father .
