教学分析This passage is a speech given by an IOC member which introduced the history from the Ancient Games to the Modern Games. By learning this passage we should convey the valuable Olympic spirit to the students and encourage them to never give up in life. What’s more, this is also good teaching material to develop students’ reading and speaking ability.

教学思路I need to divide the whole procedure into four parts. First, I will lead in the students and arouse their learning interest. Then, I will let the students skim and scan the passage to develop their reading ability, and master the reading strategies of a speech. Third, work in group to make a short speech. In the end, I need to give some comments about this class.
