Comments Review

PHY team reviewed and discussed 4 Technical comments the discussion/resolution was summarized below. More information may be found in the spreadsheet DCN09-120, updated regularly on Mentor.

1. ID 952 (Steve K) Pending. Assigned to Sung Hyun to investigate whether the 2% subcarrier

spacing for the sampling rate offset requirement is sufficient and present the results in Hawaii meeting.

Discussions

Robert: Jason of WiLAN did simulations and the preliminary results showed that the synchronization issue (due to system/channel impairment such as timing/frequency/sampling offset) was challenging.

Sung Hyun: The simulations run previously considered the timing and frequency offset, but not sampling rate offset.

2. ID 953 (Steve S) Accepted with agreed text (adding one section to specify sensing antenna

pattern)

Discussions: The comment suggested to specifying antenna pattern.

Zander: Sensing requirement should be specified irrelevant to antenna pattern. If so, antenna pattern would not be needed and would be vendor dependent.

Gerald: The current sensing requirement of -114 dbm is corresponding to the port at the output of antenna/cable right before a detector (instead of field strength before antenna), assuming 0dBi omni-direction antenna.

3. ID 971 (Steve K) Accepted.

4. ID 973 (Steve K) Accepted with agreed text.

4 Next Call

Next meeting will be on 10th Sept 09 (9pm ET).
