UPGRADING SKILLS FOR INSULATORS
I. Objective – To upgrade the competency of local semi-skilled Insulators with a
minimum of only 3 years local experience.
II. Minimum Competency Entry Level – Must have a basic competency on insulation.
III. Upgrading Competency – Must be able to perform the minimum external hot and cold insulation and personal protection requirements for piping, vessels and equipment, at cold and cryogenic operating temperatures minimum operating temperatures of the contained fluids during operation from below ambient temperature through -215°C ( -355°F ); and operating above ambient temperature to 610°C ( 1130°C ).
