It is a holiday which celebrates the birth of Jesus. It comes on December 25th . People have several days off from their work. They go back home to get together for a big dinner on Christmas Eve. A traditional Christmas dinner may include roast turkey, roast potato, and fruit pudding for dessert. Most families buy Christmas trees which are decorated with small things and bright lights. Christmas is also a time for exchanging Christmas gifts. Children like the festival because they can receive many beautiful presents. At night children go to bed early, hanging stocking beside the bed and waiting for Santa Clause. They think he comes down from chimneys and puts the presents into their stocking.
Santa Claus: He’s a plump, bearded man who wears red clothes and carries lots of gifts in a sleigh drawn by eight flying reindeers through the world. And he always gives good girls and boys some present.
