常用词汇:table, chart, figure, graph, describe, tell, show, represent等。

常用词汇:rise, drop, reduce, fall , rise, increase, decrease, on the contrary, as…as…, compared to/with, the same as, be similar to, be different from, in contrast to

常用词汇:in a word, in short, generally speaking, it is clear from the chart that, we can

draw the conclusion that等。

◆文章应包括图表所示内容,但不必全部写到;

◆叙述调查结果时要避免重复使用百分比;

Recently a survey has been done to find out the reading interests of senior middle school students. In this survey, one thousand senior middle school students from ten schools in Hubei Province were interviewed. They were asked which they liked reading most among the four categories of English articles: news, stories, popular science articles and articles about learning methods.

The survey shows that more than half of the students like to read news most. Twenty-six percent of the students say that English stories are their favorite. Only seven percent of the students are most interested in reading articles about learning methods. However, the number of students who enjoy reading popular science articles doubles that of those who prefer reading articles about learning methods.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I feel delighted to know that New Zealand Environmental Protection Association will host a four-week eco-tour to New Zealand. As an environmental volunteer, I sincerely want to participate in this activity.

I’m Li Hua, a Senior Three student studying in Guangming Middle School. I am an easy- going and hard-working boy/girl. What interests me most is eco-tour. I have taken part in many eco-tour activities, which give me a deep impression, motivating me to contribute to our environment. At the same time I can speak English fluently and easily communicate with the local people.

The aim for me to apply for this activity is to understand how to develop an eco-tour in New Zealand. And I hope that I will have some opportunities to pay a visit to some eco-tour bases to have a better understanding of their eco-tour system I’m greatly convinced that I will benefit a lot from this four-week eco-tour, which will have a long-lasting influence on my environmental volunteer service. I’d appreciate it if you can take my application into consideration.

Looking forward to hearing your reply.

Yours sincerely,

Li Hua
