英文简历常见的三大误区

1.很多人认为自己的英文不好,也可以顺利制作英文简历吗?答案是肯定的。

2.英文简历不就是把中文简历翻译过来就行了吗?这个观念是错误的。中英文简历有很多不同,包括格式、文化和语言上的种种不同,所以千万不要直接把中文简历做一下翻译直接了事。

3.有人说英文简历描述得越详细越好,这肯定是不正确的。英文简历的基本要求是专业简练,对求职者来说,目的明确,通俗易懂的语言表达是简历行之有效的基础。要如何做到呢?

4.英文简历的语言

忌讳长句

HR看你的简历不会超过1分钟,所以切记YRIS(Your resume is secanned, not read)的原则,在成千上万的简历中,HR没有时间和耐心去拜读你的简历。

使用行为动词

在简历中,行为动词让你听起来更有目的性,更有活力。

例如:Managed a team of 20 employees就比Was in charge of 20 employees更有力度。

调整语法

虽然我们常觉得有千言万语要向招聘单位诉说,不过空间有限,简历写作的标准只允许你使用缩写句。可以省略句子的主语(I, my manager)、物主代词(my/mine,his/hers)有时甚至省略冠词(the/a)。如果要在一个句子中列出不只一个成就,你可以用and取代分号。

例如:我负责一项非常重要的项目,而且我的经理给予我奖励就可以直接写成Led key project and awarded by manager。

用数字说话

为了凸显你过去的学习和经历,用数字直接表示你的业绩是最直接的手段。
