1、首段长度适中

通常来说，文章的第一段是表明自己的观点，或者加上概述一下以后会用到的例子。其他的，则不太需要将内容放在首段来写。因此首段长度适中，开门见山即可，毕竟一个SAT阅读官每天要看至少200篇作文，他/她/它哪里有时间看你绕圈子!。送大家一个句型：The examples of ___ and ___ could perfectly support the thesis.

2、连接词的使用很重要

OG第105页的《满分标准》明确指出，文章中必须包含coherence和progression。Coherence就是“句子连接词”，而Progression就是“段落连接词”。为什么这点中国同学做得不好?因为中英文语言的差异。中文是“意合”的语言，不需要连接词，通过语言的意思来连接上下文。而英文是“形合”的语言，必须通过连接词表明上下文的关系。如果你能在自己的文章中多加几个连接词，你的作文得分就能提高1~2分!

3、用词要准确并非难词、难句不可

有不少同学会觉得文章里加上几个难词、难句，文章就会得高分，这是一个很大的误区。大家注意，我们的身份是高中生，所以我们写出来的文章就应该是高中生的水平。文章中突然出现几个难词、难句，反而显得不协调。而且，大家学过语法之后都知道：SAT喜欢准确、简洁的表达。而难词、难句恰恰适得其反。

4、一定要做到词汇变化

在SAT写作的时候，我们想表达某种意思，中文用法习惯里并不会太讲究不同词汇的使用，但是这点在英文里却并不是。因此SAT写作经验很重要的一点就是做到词汇的变化。那么，在平日SAT写作学习过程中，该如何做到词汇的变化呢?总的来说有三种方法：一、同义词替换。二、变化词性。三、去题目中找。什么叫从题目中找?大家知道，SAT作文的话题是大量重复的，有些话题考得非常多。比如：挑战权威。那么关于“挑战权威”的相关英文表达，在题目中就会反复出现。比如：challenge authority, question the people in charge, cast doubt on the opinions of experts. 所以，建议大家准备一个“好词好句本”，把题目中所有的好词好句都整理出来。大家注意：写作本来就是一个厚积薄发的过程。

6、例子一定要具体

The degraded slaves underwent uncountable terrifying experiences-they were beaten, separated from their families, and forced to toil laboriously in fields their entire lives. And because the government believed “majority ruled”，the slaves lived in such conditions until the Emancipation Proclamation was written during the bloody Civil War. Had the government not followed the opinions of the clamoring whites, slavery could have been abolished much sooner, and much suffering could have been avoided. Thus, in this circumstance of freedom vs. suppression, the opinion of the majority served as a poor guide to follow by the U.S. government. Furthermore, the effects of majority rule impact Americans today, for there are many unsolved, controversial issues such as abortion, stem-cell research, and homosexual marriages.
