Job Hoppers

Nowadays, there is a noticeable phenomenon that some young people change their jobs frequently. Many reasons contribute to it. Job seekers, especially young graduates, exclusively focus on the jobs with high income. They seldom take their ability and experience into consideration. Furthermore, gaining a psychological balance is a vital factor. Competition and comparison between peers lead them to make a haste decision of job changing. Another reason is connected with their age and ambition. They hold that

youth means accumulation. Different jobs might bring about different experience and enlarge their social circle as well.

In my view, frequent job change reveals job hoppers’immaturity. It is advisable to improve one’s basic working skills before moving to another job. Frequent job changes make relationship between colleagues fragile. Commitment to a certain job wins peers’respect and trust. It also easily draws your superior’s attention. 5. (to a certain extent)

To a certain extent, his success owes to his diligence.

My View on Diligence

Many factors contribute to success and diligence is the crucial one. “The Ant and the Grasshopper”by Aesop illustrates industry leads to well-being. Besides, many famous people of great achievements are examples of diligence. Thomas Edison conducted thousands of experiments before inventing the electric light bulb. Madam Curie worked hard in the poor conditions for years before she finally discovered radium. Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and Apple’s Steve Jobs are not exceptions in modern society. They all owe their success to hard work. Contrast to rewards from diligence, idleness leads to poverty and tends to get nowhere. Therefore, we college students should be aware that the only way to success is hard work. We must concentrate our attention on our studies, and make full use of our precious time to meet the fierce challenges. It is certain that our future success will simply rest on our constant efforts.

Unit 1 Each day, many people are looking for trends in workplace clothing, so that they can “fit in” with the fashionable or well-dressed crowd. They believe that dressing in the latest fashion trends may give them the reputation of being fashionable and trendy. While it is more than possible to do this, you need to display caution. What many people do not realize is that there are a number of pros and cons of relying on workplace fashion trends. One of those pros was mentioned above. When you wear a fashionable outfit to work, there is a good chance that you will receive a lot of compliments on your outfit. This is a nice feeling and it is one that makes many feel proud. But the truth is that there are many more cons of relying on workplace fashion trends than there are pros. For instance, workplace fashion trends do not always distinguish between jobs and careers. If you work at a trendy coffee shop or retail store, chances are that the dress code would be casual clothing. However, if you work at a law office or an insurance company, you may be required to dress more professionally. Unfortunately, many workplace fashion trends are designed for the working population in general, not specific careers. This is where you can run into trouble if you are not careful.
