II. Teaching materials analyzing and rearranging教材分析和教材重组

1. 教材分析

Unit 3以“Asia”为话题,它是9B 教材第二个模块的“世界文化”的第一个话题。本单元围绕“亚洲”这一主题,通过呈现中国名城“北京”和“桂林”,以及日本和韩国的情况,使学生不但领略到祖国名胜的风光,更能够品味亚洲其它国家的文化、语言和名胜。

该单元的中心任务是“写一封去亚洲某个国家(如:韩国)的旅行指南”。这个中心任务是基于单元的“Asia (亚洲)”这一话题展开一系列的学习活动后完成的,整个单元的各课时活动都是和亚洲的国家介绍有关,其目的是为了完成中心任务而做好语言知识、语言技巧等方面的铺垫,并进一步培养学生的英语运用能力。

完成本单元的学习,将有助于学生在第4单元学习后开展9B的第二个话题活动“Cultures around the world”, 使学生加深对中国文化的理解与认识,更好地了解亚洲甚至于世界各国的文化,从而培养学生的跨文化交际的意识,增强世界意识。

1.1Comic strip卡通漫画描述了Eddie 与Hobo在长城上旅行时的感受,自然引出教材中有关“中国”的情况介绍,点明本单元的内容要点:亚洲国家的文化。

1.2 Welcome to the unit为本单元的导入单元,首先介绍了中国传统的诸如“京剧”、“舞龙”等中国的事物,并在B部分介绍中国的四个著名景点。通过对中国传统事物的了解,增强学生对本国文化的认识,学习本单元后,可以为下一课时阅读文章及单元其它课时的学习做好铺垫。

1.3 Reading是一节阅读课,A部分这篇文章向学生展现了两个城市“北京”和“桂林”的情况。两个来自不同城市的同学以第一人称描述了各自城市美丽的景色以及名胜古迹,阅读文章时,仿佛在两个两个城市里旅行一般,眼前不断出现栩栩如生的画面,更能激发学生对“旅行”和“祖国文化”的兴趣。文中运用了多个较长的句子,并使用了不同时态的主动与被动语态组织句子、表达思想。学生需利用上下文及已有常识并在老师帮助下学习里面重点语言知识,结合文章后面设置的练习进行巩固。既加深学生对祖国文化的理解,并对后续的学习产生良好的引导作用。

1.4 Vocabulary是一节词汇学习课。A部分National flags(世界各国的国旗),介绍了中国在内的六个亚洲国家的国旗,以此引导学生更多的了解亚洲国家的地理、历史及文化。B部分Photos of nature (自然风光),呈现了如沙漠、海洋等地理景观名称,可扩展与本单元话题相关的词汇。

1.5 Grammar是一节语法课。本课时介绍了“although”和“unless”连接句子表达思想的用法;学习“so that”表达做某件事目的的用法。

A. 介绍了although引导的让步状语从句。通过设置情境重组句子练习although用法。

B. 介绍了unless引导的条件状语从句。由于unless具有否定意义,因此它引导的是个否

定的条件(如果……不)。可以把它看作是if…not的同义表达手段。

C. so that引导目的状语从句,从句中通常带有can, could, may, might, should等情态动词,

以适用于目的。

1.6 Integrated skills本课时是一节综合技能课,分两部分内容:A部分的话题为“A trip to Japan”, 通过阅读一份旅行社的行程安排表以及听取校长对行程的详细介绍,学生从中获得需要的信息,完成填写笔记和报告的任务,以此培养与提高听力的技能。B部分通过Amy 和Simon 之间谈论去亚洲的泰国旅行的计划,帮助学生学会谈论亚洲国家之行,了解名胜及风俗,从中感受亚洲国家的文化。本课时重点要通过开展多样的活动,培养与增强学生的听、说、读、写的能力。

1.7 Study skills 本课时是教授学生3种连接句子、过渡思想的方法:其一,使用“in addition ,

besides, however, nevertheless, therefore”这5个词;其二,使用句子的关键词连接句子;第三,使用各种代词或地点副词指代已谈论的事物或地点。本课重点要让学生在有情境的句子或段落或篇章中体会、学习这些用法。有利于学生水平的提高,更有利于表达复杂的思想,并使所写所说的英语更加符合英语的表达习惯,使学生说出、写出更加地道的英语。

1.8 Main task本课时的中心任务是借助笔记写一篇旅行指南。A部分设置了“Amy告诉Miss Thompson她打算去韩国旅行,并写下了一份旅行笔记”的情境,通过完成Amy 所写的指南作为示范,可帮助学生更好的完成自己的旅行指南。B部分呈现了部分图片,提供给了学生写作的素材,由A部分的示范,B部分的素材,学生可更好的完成本课时的写作任务。

1.9Checkout本课时是一节复习课。A部分通过填写一份有关北京印象的调查表复习本单元的语法项目;B部分通过一个有关地理知识的word puzzle 帮助学生复习词汇课中所学到的有关地理的6个名词。
