范玉斌认为，首先，学龄前儿童在入学前打下一定的英语基础，对今后的学习肯定是有好处的。学生在课堂上碰到的单词、句型，可能之前通过社会上的培训班，已经接触过甚至掌握了，那么从积极方面来看，这无疑能够促进学生在课堂上的学习积极性，学生会乐意自信地表现自己。但从另一方面看，学龄前儿童的学习理解能力还具有一定的局限性，同样的内容，可能接受起来就要花更多的时间和精力，这也意味着孩子报了培训班之后要跟上学习进度就得学得很辛苦。进一步来看，有些东西即使孩子学会了，也只是依葫芦画瓢，对一些细节上的东西并没有真正理解。
