1.Why do so many migrant workers (民工) move from the country to the city? The city has more opportunities for migrant workers to earn money.

Working in the city can earn far more money than working in the country.

Migrant workers want to provide their children a better studying condition.

Some migrant workers find people around them are moving to the city, and then they’re just following the general trend.

2.Why are tourists willing to pay for a night in a farmer’s house instead of a

hotel?

The cost of staying a night in a farmer’s house is far more less than staying in a hotel.

Although living condition of a farmer’s house is poor than a hotel, many tourists don’t have

high demands on living condition.

Living in a farmer’s house, tourists can get some useful information about the local conditions and customs through talking to the famer.

3.Do you plan to further your study as a postgraduate or find a job right

after graduation? Why? (Which seems to be more important to you: school education or what you learn in the real world?)

Yes, I plan to find a job right after graduation.

Having a job after graduation means I can make money on my own and it can help me live independently I don’t want to ask m y parents for money after graduation.

What I learn I the real world is more important to me. For it not only helps me know the real world better, but also helps me quickly adapt to the society.

After working for several years, I would know whether I need to pursue a higher certification. Because I also can get my master degree when I having a job.

4.Why do you think many youngsters choose to study abroad? What are the

benefits and what are the possible problems for studying abroad?

Benefits:

Studying abroad can give youngsters a chance to see the world again in a global vision. Studying abroad can improve their language ability and let them grasp the advanced technologies.

Studying abroad can let youngsters make friends with people from different countries with different background.

Studying abroad can help youngsters build their own life and live independently.

Problems:

Studying abroad would give families a big financial burden and is not suitable for low-income families’ children.

Studying abroad means youngsters have to face the living pressure on their own because most of them have no relative abroad.

Youngsters’ studying abroad separates them and their families. So youngsters always miss

their families and feel lonely.

1.In our families, what do we do to try to prevent burglaries? For example, is

there a burglar-proof door to your apartment?

Yes, there is. Having a burglar-proof door is a common way to prevent burglaries. People

always feel dangerous in this high crime rate socie ty, so almost everyone’s apartment has a burglar-proof door.

Lock our doors even when we are going out just for a few minutes, because we need to keep alert all the time.

Burglar alarm system is also a good way to prevent burglaries. If a thief enters your house, this system would call the police and your possession will be in a safe condition.

2.In our contact with the outside world, what precautions do we take to steer

clear of danger? For example, do you speak to strangers?

Yes, but I seldom speak to strangers because when I was young, my parents always told me not to speak to strangers for they maybe have an evil thought on you.

When we’re surfing on the Internet or chatting online, we shouldn’t tell strangers our personal information, especially our bank account number and password.

If we plan to travel on holidays, we’d better not go to an unfamiliar place alone. When we are on a trip, we have to pay more attention to our valuables. And we need to always keep our cell phone in a good condition. Because if we are in danger, a good connection on the phone can help us get out of trouble easily.

3.What do you think can be done to improve older people’s lives if their

children do not live with them?

Older people can keep a pet. If they feel lonely or miss their children, they can talk to their pets.

Although animals cannot talk to us, they do can share our happiness and sorrow for they have emotion, too.

Older people can learn how to surfing on the Internet and chatting with others so that they can see their children and talk to them on the computer if both of them have a web camera and a microphone.

Older people need to take part in some activities which can widen and intensify their relations.

They also could do regular exercise such as jogging and playing badminton, etc. To the older people, stay healthy is the most important.

4.What should be done to help unemployed people?

Re-training programs should be organized to help the unemployed people to learn new skills and help them keep up with the changing society. Solving the unemployment problem needs the effort of the whole society, including our government; the unemployed people themselves and all those who are ready to offer their help.

Our government should take some necessary measures to create more opportunities of

employment for these people.

I should thank my parents for bring me this world, giving me life and educated me.

I should thank my parents for giving me the chance to experience the richness of the world.
