电影中的地道英语口语句在说英语的时候，我们会遇到一些难以表达的词语或句子，通常会卡在那里或不知所云，而最好的办法就是仔细想想你所要表达的内在含义，而不局限于个别字词，然后用简单词汇将你想说的表达出来。
下面是我在新东方课堂上讲解电影时总结的授课内容的句型摘录，均来自于原版电影，大家可以做一下这方面的思维操练。
1你同他鬼混在一起肯定是不会得到好结果的Your hanging around with him is going to end up in a big trouble.
2 你的态度很不端正。

1. make one's day
make one's day这个词组，字面上的意思是「让这一天成为某人的」，而在使用上的意思就是由此而来。make one's day就是让对方感到尊荣备至，无一处不妥贴，因此一整天都快乐得不得了，大有夫复何求的满足。这个词组也很常用在两性之间搭讪之时，若你跟人搭讪失败，就可以说He / She didn't make my day.「他_她完全不鸟我。」
2. I don't buy that.
I don't buy that.这句短语，乍看之下可能会觉得是跟「买」东西有关。不过这里的「买」是指中文里的「买帐」，所以I don't buy that.的意思就是「我不相信。我不吃这一套。」若有人讲了什么话，让你觉得他一定是在骗人；或是有人做了什么事，让你觉得无法接受，就可以用上这句I don't buy that.来表达你不相信，或是你绝不任人摆布的意思。
3. knock it off
Knock it off.这个短小的句子，其实就是Stop it.的意思。当然啰，叫别人停止的情况有很多，这时就要看你说Knock it off.的语气是如何了。若是对方的举动态度让你忍无可忍，一句凶巴巴的Knock it off.应该就能让对方识相地别再自讨没趣。若你其实只是把Knock it off.当成撒娇或是开玩笑的工具，那么就请语带娇嗔地说这句话啰。
4. stand someone up
「站起来」叫做stand up，这个绝对没问题，而stand up这两个字的中间也可以加字，这个时候的stand是及物动词。若你说stand something up，意思就是「把某物扶正、扶起来」，不过stand someone up的这个用法却是最常见的，而且意思只有一个，就是「爽约，放某人鸽子」。在美语中若是说到相约却未依约出现的情况，几乎都是用stand someone up来表达，赶紧记起来喔！
5. come again
Come again.这句话一看就知道是「再来一次。」的意思。不过玄机在于来者是何人呢其实这里说的不是人，再来的对象是指对方刚才所说的话。其实就等于Excuse me.或是Pardon (me).只不过Come again.听起来比较亲切，适用于熟人之间。
6. hit on someone
hit on someone的意思就是「对人展开追求，表示好感」藉由主动与暧昧展开爱情的攻势。
7. look on the bright side
每件事都有两面(There're two sides to everything.)。你可以选择「看事物的光明面」look on the bright side而保持「乐观」be optimistic，或是「看事物的黑暗面」look on the dark side of things，成天「悲观」pessimistic。在这里要提醒大家虽然look这个字常常与at连用，好比Look at me.「看看我。」不过look on the bright / dark side是惯用法，而且look后头可以接的介系词，at只是其中之一。大家不要有预设立场，见一个学一个才健康。
8. break something off
break something off这个用法，当然可以是字面上的「折断，扳开」，泛指把原为一体的东西，分成两半的意思。而break something off这个词组用在男女之间的关系上头，自然就是指原来在一起的情侣「拆伙，分手」，也很像台语中的「ㄘㄟˋ」这个字。
9. I'm all yours.
I'm (all) yours.看字面的意思「我（全）是你的。」就知道，当你要表达对方怎么说你就怎么做，任凭对方发落的时候，就可用上这句话I'm all yours.「我任你差遣。我由你作主。」
10. call it quits
quit这个字作动词的时候，常指「辞职」，好比I quit the job.「我辞了工作。」quit也表示「放弃，停手」的意思，这里的call it quits就是这个意思。call it quits这个词组表示事情进行到一半时候，中途停止的意思，可能是暂时终止，下回继续，也可能是就此放弃。
11. What was it again
What was it again这句话是在询问之前所提到的东西，或是方才说过的话，是一句很常用的口语。这句话当中的again并不代表你真的已经问过，而是要把对方说得不明不白的错，归到自己记性不好或是耳力不佳的迂回用字。我们再举一个迂回的例子，例如在认识新朋友的时候，有时连姓名都还没交换过，就已经聊了起来，若聊到一半想起要问对方的名字，就可以说What did you say your name was字面上的意思看来像是对方之前已经说过自己的名字，但其实这是礼貌客气又不失亲切的问法，倒未必要对方真有自我介绍过才能用，类似中文里头的「请问你怎么称呼」若是说May I have your name, please「请教尊姓大名」听起来又嫌太过正式疏远了。
12. I can't thank you enough
向人道谢的话有许多，基本功当然就是Thank you. / Thanks (a lot / a million).之类在thank 这个字后头做文章的变化。但礼多人不怪，若能加上句型的变化，岂不美哉这句I can't thank you enough.就是很常用的感谢话语，can't…enough的句型是固定的，表示「再怎么样都不够」所以用在I can't thank you enough.这句话当中，自然就是感谢的程度一直往上追加啰，听起来还挺窝心的。

考前大猜题
1. Bite me.
是一句很粗鲁的话，有强烈的性暗示，相当于中文的「三字经」。这是美国年轻人的用语，当他们要表现强烈不满或故意表现叛逆时，才会说这种粗话。
2. Like I care.
这句话是在讽刺，表示「我根本一点也不关心」I don't care about that at all.当某人煞有介事跟你说些鸡毛蒜皮的小事，你就可以用嘲讽的语气说Like I care.
3. Woe is me.
是一种老气横秋的说法，不是一般日常口语。woe是「不幸，不快」的意思，这个句子是个固定的说法，当你要夸张地哀叹自己的遭遇，就可以用上这句话。
4. be going through a phase
表示「经历某个暂时的阶段」，表示那个「阶段」phase是会过去的。
5. Time out.
原本是在运动场上的用语，表示比赛时间到，要大家停止。沿用到日常生活中，则是要人停止动作，或慢慢来。这句话通常是对晚辈说，用来叫小孩停止玩闹，或有话慢慢讲，不要再争执或连珠泡似地问一堆问题
6. come through
connection就是中文所谓的「人脉，管道」，也就是认识可以帮你做事的人。come through 并不是字面上的「穿越而来」，而是「完成任务，达成使命」的意思。
7. might as well...
类似中文「顺便……也好」的意思。
8. They say "jump," and you say "How high"
trampoline 是一种网状的弹力床，体操选手会在上面做弹跳翻滚的动作。这句话比较常听的版本是「他们叫你『跳』，你还问他们『要跳多高』」They say "jump," and you say "how high"也就是尽全力配合别人，或是非常乐意帮忙
9. Bottoms up!
Bottoms up!是在饮酒时常说的一句话，表示「干杯」，而且是真的要一口喝干，只喝一小口是不算的。而另一个中文也翻成「干杯」的Cheers!就只是一句敬酒的场面话，并不代表真的要干杯。

1. The answer is out there.
电视影集《X档案》有句名言：「真相就在那里。」The truth is out there.但是在哪里就是在「那里」，只是必须要你自己去找而已！当有人说The answer is out there.时，代表这答案是远在天边，近在咫尺，只是当局者迷，你一时看不透罢了！或者是，有些问题的答案显而
易见，但却是怎么想都想不起来时，你也可以说：The answer is out there.。当然，当大家都不知道答案而只有你知道时，你也可以故弄玄虚地说：The answer is out there.
2. The time has come to make a choice.
这里的the time是指「关键性的时刻」，就是没时间再让你想东想西。比如说你参加了《超级大富翁》，这一题的答案实在是不知道该选蛋黄还是纸条，而时间已经到了，主持人就会对你说：The time has come to make a choice.或是你脚踏两条船，东窗事发了，此时你踏的那两艘船就会对你说：The time has come to make a choice.
3. Do I make myself clear
「我说得够清楚吗」Do I make myself clear，这就相当于中文的「你明白吗」通常Do I make myself clear的使用时机是在吵架，或是上对下的批评，但是其中带有「警告」的意味，就是有人屡劝不听，你已经受不了而给他最后警告时，最后就可补上这一句Do I make myself clear
4. There's no turning back.
依字面上来看，There's no turning back.就是「没有退路。」的意思，凡是遇到势在必行，决定了就不能反悔的事情，都可以说There's no turning back.。说得文言一点就是「背水一战」。
5. Time is always against us.
against就是「跟……相反，跟……作对」，所以Time is always against us.这句就是「时间总是跟我们作对。」也就是在抱怨时间不够时，常常会脱口而说的一句话。例如答应老师放学前把作业交出来，没想到时光飞逝，转眼就放学了，这个时候你就可以感叹地说：Time is always against us.
6. Far from it.
Far from it.中的it可以是任何事，「跟它差得远」是其字面上的意思，但这句话最正确的意思，不仅是「差得远」而已，而是到了南辕北辙的地步，所以是「正好相反」之意。
7. I feel I owe you an apology.
跟人道歉最简单的说法就是I'm sorry.，这适用于各种情况下的道歉，即使是你不认为自己错，但又不得不道歉时，你也可以丢下一句I'm sorry.敷衍过去。而用I feel I owe you an apology.这句话道歉时，则是真的认为自己错了，是诚心要跟对方道歉。属于比较诚恳的道歉法，能够给彼此个台阶下，皆大欢喜！
8. ...has anything to do with...
「跟……有任何关系」是it has anything to do with...，通常这个句型带有否定的口气，认为所说的两者没有应该关系；若是不太确定，只是觉得「可能」有关系，就可以把anything
改成something，这是属于较婉转的说法；若是把anything改成nothing的话，就是「跟……无关」，所以当有人抹黑你说：Does this have anything to do with you时，你就可以赶快撇清关系地说：It has nothing to do with me.「这跟我一点关系都没有。」
9. I can only show you the door, you're the one that has to walk through it.
「我只能告诉你们在那里，你得自己走过去。」从字面上的意思不难了解，这句话中的door就是暗喻「入门的诀窍」，或是「做事的方法」，所以此句大有「我只能告诉你诀窍，其余就看你的造化了！」的味道，而正好跟我们中国的一句俗话「师父领进门，修行在个人」的意境不谋而合。
10. There is something about him.
当你觉得某人与众不同，你就可以说There is something about him / her.。我们把句子还原之后，There is definitely something special about him / her.，就不难看出整句的意思了，没错！就是「他∕她一定有特别之处。」的意思。去年一部超级卖座的电影叫《哈啦玛莉》，英文片名是There's Something About Mary，全片主旨就是在阐述女主角Mary是如此地与众不同，让所有男人为之风靡，可是跟「哈啦」一点关系都没有喔！
11. A little piece of advice.
「让我来给你点建议。」通常我们会这么说Let me give you a little piece of advice.既然是好心给人忠告，那当然还要顾及对方的自尊心，所以在advice前加个a little piece of「一点点的」，表示是个人浅见，仅供参考。你也可以把句子的前面几个字拿掉，直接说A little piece of advice.两种说法都行，并没有多大的差别。所以当你要给朋友忠告时，你就可以诚心诚意地提出你的建议：A little piece of advice.
12. Let you in on a little secret.
Let you in on a little secret.就是「告诉你个小秘密」的意思。当你听到惊天动地的八卦，免不了想炫耀一下时，这一句就派上用场啦！或是要跟别人分享你的独门诀窍时，就可以故弄玄虚地说：Let you in on a little secret.
13. Déjàvu.
你是否有过这样的感觉，对于眼前的景象非常熟悉，似乎已经发生过，但你却清楚这是第一次面对此情此景，这种情况法文称之为déjàvu，被沿用到美语中。如此意境相当于中文里的「似曾相识」。所以当你以后遇到「咦！这一幕我好像见过！」的感觉时，就可以说：Déjàvu!
14. There's no way…
There's no way…这个句型常常用来否定或拒绝一件事或方法的可行性，可用在别人向你提出不合理的要求时。
15. You had your time.
You had your time.这个句子其实就是You had your chance.「已经给过你机会了。」所以当你好心再给对方一次机会，而他又搞砸时，你只好无奈地对他说You had your time.另一个使用时机则是对付你的手下败将，如果刘邦学好美语的话，当年他就会在江东河畔对着项羽说：You had your time.
16. We don't have any other choice.
「我们没有其它的选择。」We don't have any other choice.这句话的使用时机在于当你想不出其它办法，只有孤注一掷地选择这条路时，你就可以说We don't have any other choice.或者是某件事势在必行时，也可以说We don't have any other choice.
17. Everything but this.
字面上的意思是「除了这个，其它都行。」可别小看这简简单单的句子，它可是非常好用的呢！当你在逛街，叽哩呱啦的售货员一直向你推销这个、推销那个时，此时你就可以对她说：Anything but this.我们再把这个句型稍加变化：Anywhere but here.「除了这里，哪里都好」比如说你到了一个无聊透顶的地方，实在有点给他待不下去了，此时有人问说要换去何处时，你就可以说：Anywhere but here.当然这个句型也可以用在人的身上，比如说有人帮你介绍男∕女朋友，对方却是你的仇人，你就可以说：Anyone but him / her.「除了他∕她都行。」
18. Do we have a deal
deal在这里的意思是「协议、交易」，当你要跟别人商量事情，或是谈条件等情况，这句话就派上用场了！你也可以很简单的只说：Deal也行。如果对方无意见同意了，为了慎重起见，你还可以再跟他确认一次：Then we have a deal
19. way above
way这里是当副词用，就是「远远地、大大地、非常」的意思，属于夸张化的说法，比如要形容「很高」，如果你觉得too high还不能描绘出你要表达的高，你就可以在too high 前加一个way，用way too high来形容。所以way above就是「大大地超过」之意，如果你要形容某人非常的奇怪，你就可以说：He's way above normal.
20. Why is this happening to me
「这为什么发生在我身上」会讲这句话时，通常都是遇到不顺心、不如意，或是非常倒霉的事，真是到了「无语问苍天」的地步，只好对天大喊：Why is this happening to me不过遇到这种情况，也有人会说：What did I do「我做了什么」这就是在问老天「我到底造了什么孽」

考前大猜题
1. On a good day.
如果说一个情况已经很糟糕了，而这个情况还是用On a good day.来形容，就表示还有更糟糕的时刻。就拿剧中的情况来说，剧中的节目制作人Cynthia觉得自己的声音听起来难听，但同事还跟他说这种声音是「情况好时才这样。」On a good day.就表示平常的时候还更糟呢。当然，也有时候，形容一个人情况佳的时候的表现，也可以用On a good day.这时候的感觉就是比较正面的意思。
2. Are you with me
with (somebody)最直接的感觉就是和谁在一起，所以Are you with me这句话表面上问人家和不和他在一起，实际上就是问大家「同不同意我的意见」所以每当阐述完自己想法后，就可以用这句型询问别人是否同意。
3. I'm going (based) on...
I'm going based on...更简单的讲法可以省略掉based，讲成I'm going on...。这个句型里的go，有「遵循」的意思在内。所以当想要阐述意见，又觉得光是自己的想法不够力时，就赶快搬出这个I'm going (based) on...「我是依照……行事」当护身符，把做决定的依据扛出来说个清楚，讲个明白。
4. cut all you in
cut本身有「切、割」的意思在内，所以cut all you in表示你会把这些人算进来，再开始切分。当你有什么好康的，可以很有义气地说出I cut all you in.表示你「把大家都算在内」。而这个句型，也可以换个说法，把cut当成名词解，讲成give you a cut，也就是「算你一分」的意思。
5. This is gonna cost us.
cost这个字最主要的解释是「花费」的意思。而这个句子This is gonna cost us.可以做两种解释，一种是「这会花我们一大笔钱」，一种是「这会让我们付出代价」。而做后者解释的
时候，有一种这会对我们不利味道在。所以，当分析情势觉得某人会吃亏时，就可以用this is gonna cost someone (something)的句型来说了。
6. I've got your back.
人的眼睛长在前面，可以随时注意危险保护自己，但是「背后」back可就是安全的死角了。而在美语中，就常用I've got your back.来代表我已顾好你看不到的地方，也就是「我会保护你」的意思。这个句子常在战争片或警匪片中可听到，因为无论作战或对付歹徒时，都可以告知伙伴自己能够掩护他的行动。
7. She's never given me the time of day.
not give someone the time of day的意思是「讨厌、忽视某人」，而这个句型全都用在否定句中。不过not give someone the time of day跟不甩不理睬有啥关系呢大家回想一下，若要问别人时间会怎么问无非是Do you know what time it is或是Do you have the time（Do you have time是问对方有没有空，而Do you have the time是问对方现在几点几分。）所以啰，若是你连人家问你几点钟这点小忙都不想帮，那自然表示你对那个人不屑至极，全无好感。
8. I've got news for you.
在跟人家吵架之时，有时会故意撂下些狠话来说说，这时候就可以说I've got news for you.，也就是「你最好弄清楚。」来做为一个开头的引言，接下去批哩啪啦讲得就可能是一连串难听或伤人的话了。
9. I mean that.
无论是I mean that.或是I mean it.都是指「我是认真的。」这三个字不但好用，又相当好学易记。当你怕说的话别人不当真，或是想要强调自己说的话是发自内心时，就可以搬出这个句型一用。当然，还有种情境，就是故意讲了很夸张没人相信的话，讲完后也可以搬出I mean that.一用，在这种状况下，就有些故意开玩笑，假装当真，实际不当真的感觉在。
10. Latch onto him.
latch本身的涵义就是「闩上」，所以latch onto…，本身就有种「缠着……不放」的感觉，所以用在男女关系上就很容易解释成「和某人在一起吧」的意思。毕竟，要和一个人谈恋爱，的确是需要不少时间和对方相处的。当然，如果用在其它非关男女感情的对话上，譬如你要赶着下班去玩乐，但老板拖着你不放，就可以说My boss latched onto me.「我老板绊住我了。」
11. ...get an attitude
通常说一个人的态度好或不好，可以用have a good / bad attitude来形容。但口语说来，说一个人get an attitude时，这个attitude通常是说对方的「态度很烂」或「跩了起来」。例如当你觉得某人装得一副了不起的嘴脸，就可以跟对方说He / She gets an attitude.。
12. We might have something here.
感情上来电的滋味，要怎么讲个清楚呢所以说，这个句型里的something就一字以蔽之代表两人间的来电，所以你觉得跟某人本来只是普通朋友，却渐渐有暧昧的感觉产生时，就可以说We might have something here.来表达「我们还挺来电的。」
13. on hold
on hold这词组广泛用在指人事物「稍等、暂缓」的状态。比如常可以听到的「电话稍等中」就是说The phone call is on hold.。
14. run the world
run the world照字面是「经营世界」的意思，也很合中文中「呼风唤雨」那种要什么有什么的感觉。当觉得某个人有那种不可一世，似乎大家都得听他命令或指挥的时候，就可以把这句型搬出来一用了。
15. We'll figure something out.
