一、试题特点
1、基本上依据《考纲》设题。
《2009年安徽省初中毕业学业考试纲要》(下文简称《考纲》)对2009年英语中考的性质、内容和要求、考试形式、试卷结构作了明确规定，并在附录中说明了语音项目、语法项目、功能意念项目、话题项目，给出了初中阶段词汇表。这个《考纲》是中考的依据。今年中考试题基本上以《考纲》为依据，考查学生的语言知识与语言运用能力。不过，《考纲》理想化程度较高，有些要求难以达到，如语言知识中的语音及功能、话题方面要求，学生实际难以达到，语言运用中说与写的要求也相对较高。
2、考查内容较为全面，涵盖了初中英语的重点内容，突出双基。
综观2009年英语中考试题，考查内容较为全面，试题形式上包含听力、语法、词汇、阅读及写作。试题选材也较为全面，既涵盖了人文社科方面(如完形填空A篇及阅读A篇、C篇)，又涵盖少量自然科学(如阅读D篇、完形B篇、写作部分)。阅读B篇是篇母爱亲情故事，考查学生的情商。语法词汇部分全面考查学生的语言基础知识，内容涉及到了初中部分重点语法及词汇。听力部分的信息转化、单词拼写等部分涉及到词汇也是最基本词汇。试题基本上突出基础知识和基本技能的考核，总体较为平稳，难度适中。
3、试题充分体现了初中毕业学业考试的双重性质。
《考纲》规定初中毕业学业考试是义务教育阶段的终结性考试，是修完义务教育课程的初中学生参加的水平性考试。考试结果既是衡量学生是否达到水平标准的主要依据，也是高中阶段学校招生的重要依据之一。依据这一定性，《考纲》规定，较容易题70%，中等难度题为20%，难题为10%。
4、试题公平性、科学性、开放性尚有瑕疵。
试题公平性关系到学生的切身利益及社会和谐稳定。本试题中阅读理解题C 篇是一则广告，内容关于“International Language Holidays”，涉及到英国天气、准备衣物，尤其是host family有关事宜，学生失分率较高。这对没有这方面知识
及经历的学生，是否有失公平？
在试题科学性方面，还是看看阅读。A篇介绍6个国家的生日习俗，五个设题全部是细节题，没有其他类型，考查能力是否过于单一。至于写作部分，要求学生介绍清凉油的用途及用法，过于专业化，学生写起来有一定难度，不太科学。
整个试题，没有开放性题型，不利培养学生的创新精神，这与英语试题标准化、答案标准化便于批阅似乎有矛盾，但可以在单词拼写及写作中引进开放性题型，给学生多种选择，答案可以灵活多变，给学生以想象、创新的机会，这是否是中考改革的一个方向？
二、易错点分析
①听力
听力部分分为Ⅰ—Ⅴ项，第Ⅰ项关键词汇选择得分较高；第Ⅱ项短对话理解，错误集中在6、7、10、14小题，其中第6小题my pet dog学生听成my cat dog，故选错；第7小题对socks与shoes没有分清，故选错；第10小题听路线，路线稍复杂，故选错；第14小题，学生对lift(电梯)不太熟悉，故出错。
在长对话理解中，16—20小题得分较高，其话题是English study，学生较熟悉话题，故得分较高。在Ⅳ项短文理解中，错误集中在23、25小题。学生对at a quarter to five时间表达理解有误，故23小题出错；25小题，对the clock是否能工作，文中有：“Does it ring on time?”he asked the old man. “Sure! Just shake it when its time to get up and till ring.”对这一回答，学生很难听懂，故出错多。另一原因是monologue比dialogue更难听懂。
第Ⅴ题信息转换，听短文填写五个单词，错误集中在27、28小题。学生把rose 听为most，把tower听为towel或travel，tower为不太常用词，故出错多。30小题听数字(six)得分率最高。
②单选题
错误集中在35、36、41、44、50小题。单选题涉及到初中阶段的重点语法及部分词汇用法，较为全面。学生出错多的35题，是对available感到陌生；36题系动词seem用法对初中生有点难；41小题学生对last(持续vi)意思不清楚；44小题学生对no hurry, no wonder, no doubt的意义分辨不清；50小题主要对功能意念回答别人邀请时，先感谢后陈述不能去的原因，没有很好地掌握，故出错。
③完形填空
本题共有二小段短文，A篇是一段寓言，学生理解较好，故得分率较高；B 篇是关于body language，话题稍难；学生出错集中在67、69、70小题。其中67小题Friendliness and interest are expressed when a person’s eyes____ yours,…，这里应选meet，而学生错选了干扰项see or watch。69小题repeated movements学生未能读懂，其实后文中有解释like hitting a pencil lightly against something again and again, often means the person is nervous or not patient.也可能因为hit，patient 两词词义不清；70小题，____ someone who points at you while talking with you—that person might be angry at you or feel better than you。学生受到feel better than you的影响，错选Get along with或Stand close to，而未选正确的Stay away from。
④补全对话
学生错误集中在71、75小题。71小题误选A；75小题是由于前面选错，又连锁反应出错，此题得分也很低，反映了交际英语还有欠缺。
⑤阅读理解
阅读共有四篇，是得分率最高的一大题。此题考查有关细节理解、主旨大意、逻辑推理、猜测词义、作者意图等，考查能力较为全面。A篇是关于6个不同国家生日习俗的短文。五小题均为细节题，学生普遍感到容易；B篇是关于母爱亲情，考查学生情商，学生得分也较高；C篇是一则广告，由于学生对话题International Language Holidays及host family不太熟悉，故答题出错较多。88题是由于对文中your family will provide you with all of the meals except weekday lunches理解错误；90小题是考查主旨大意，是综合题故学生选错的多。这一话题远离农村学习生活，故学生错误率高。D篇关于如何提高记忆的短文，其中92小题出错是由于对文中Paragraph 4理解有误；93小题是猜单词“opportunities”的含义，应选chances。学生出错，属于对词汇掌握不牢，或对上下文理解有误，或者因为对这种题型训练不到位。“猜词能力”是《考纲》规定的阅读能力之一。
⑥单词拼写
本题是得分率最低的题。所考五个单词，两个名词，形容词、副词、动词各一个，全部为常用词。这说明学生基础知识仍然有待提高。
⑦写作
如前所述，写作得分率居倒数第二，学生问题主要表现在：(a)放弃不写或乱抄一段文字，得分为零。(b)句子结构混乱，多用汉语式英语。如：I think you may don’t know how use them; In China has many mosquitoes bite you….。(c)错用主动语态代替被动语态。如：It can use for mosquito bites. The ointment can’t eat and into eyes。(d)词性误用，尤以谓语错误居多。如：When you by bus, you can use ointment.
I think it can give you happy and lucky. (e)大小写、标点符号误用，多用逗号。(f)书写不整洁等。
造成失分的原因，一是由于话题较为专业，脱离学生学习内容；二是学生语法、词汇等基础不牢。三是卷面不整洁。书面表达在我县初中仍然有待提高。
三、启示与建议
1、研究《考纲》，有的放矢。
《考纲》是中考指导性文件，对中考的语法项目、词汇以及听、说、读、写的基本技能都有明确的规定，中考试题，基本上没有超纲现象，基本上突出了初中英语学科的主干知识及重点。如试题中听力部分信息转化中涉及到的五个单词，单词拼写中的五个词，阅读中猜opportunities词义的选项chances等都已列入《考纲》词汇表中。倘若教师在教学与复习中能按《考纲》词汇表，针对一些重点词进行有效教学和训练，成绩自然会更好。相反，对初中内容进行不必要的超纲延伸，提高难度，做无用功，费时低效，得不偿失。
2、紧抓双基，改进教学。
任何学科，基础知识、基本技能都是土壤，是基石，是根本，舍本求末，必然失败。何谓初中英语的双基？我认为语音、语法、词汇、语感及基本的听、说、读、写的能力，即为其双基。而大部分教师，有重语法、词汇、读写，而轻语音、语感、听、说的教学倾向，基础教学有缺失，致使学生发展不全面。就语音而言，初中《考纲》要求掌握的内容包括：拼写规则、重音、意群、语调与节奏等。丰富而扎实的语音知识，对单词的记忆、听力的提高、口语的准确性乃至整个语言的学习都很重要，是英语学习的基础，总能不重视呢？
再看词汇教学，大多老师上课先教读生词，马上要求背诵，接下来才去上课文。这种方法应该改进，词汇离开课文和句子，就无水之鱼，没有语篇语情，词汇就没有意义，怎能记忆清楚甚至掌握用法呢？即使当时强记下来，不多久就会
忘掉。
3、训练选材不宜过难。
听力训练、语法词汇训练、完形及阅读选材，都要符合学生的年龄特征及现有知识经验，稍稍高于学生的现有水平。否则，难度过大，学生做起来感到困难，很可能丧失信心和兴趣。太难的试题，是违背《考纲》精神，对中考毫无意义。
4、建议中考与新课改接轨。
新课改要求课堂教学要培养学生创新思维与跨文化思维，中考是否可以减少客观试题(如单选或听力)分值，增加翻译、写作等主观开放性试题，答案灵活多变，可以让学生答题时自由发挥，使文化素养高、语言素质好的学生脱颖而出，也可增加分数的区分度。
