On the first day of the New Year 2013，I made up my mind to go to Thailand to teach English as a volunteer.Fresh out of college with the world at my fingertips，all I cared about was travelling and seeing the world.Little did I know how awesome my life would be in the coming months!
My journey began with the attendance of TESOL certification course in my home state of Florida last February.After 3 weekends of study and another 40 hours’ post-study online，I received my TESOL certificate.
I was put in touch with Philip，who is Program Director of the Teach in Thailand.In close consultation with Philip，I chose my employment school and after many months of excitement，I finally boarded my plane to Thailand in early April，and set off on an adventure!
After a few weeks of single travel，I met up with Philip and the other new teachers in my program in Bangkok.It was great to meet other people who were on the same journey as me，see some cool sights and hang out in Thailand’s cities！Directly after that，I atten ded the week-long seminar(研讨会)，which is included in the Teach in Thailand Program.At the end of the seminar，I was transported to my employment school—Anuban Buriram Primary School.
I truly love my job—I teach Grades 5 and 6 and I have the cleverest and most motivated kids in the world.It’s a truly fantastic thing that you can see the difference you make in someone else’s life，right in front of you!
The city Buriram is small，surrounded with green rice fields.People here are more friendly than anyone I’ve eve r met—I’ve never been anywhere where a smile is so easily received，where everyone you pass is so eager to say “Hello” and “Good morning”．I’ve been taken out to countless dinners，and been lent a guitar，a digital camera，and even a motorbike，and I am constantly given little Thai treats and the most delicious fresh fruits many times a week.I only hope to pay it forward in the future.

The typical price per piece of Lego has been slightly more than 10 since 2005.At 101 for 160 pieces，this set is about 0.6 per piece.It is a great deal.
But there are some downsides：no wheels，bushes，trees，grass，technic elements and that sort of thing，otherwise this is a fantastic starter set.

I got this set as a Black Friday deal for an amazing 30！I wanted two sets but they were gone before I could even get my hands on one.A very nice man gave me a spare t hat he grabbed.It’s huge，strong and well-made.The box is about two feet tall and is strong enough for a storage option.I will absolutely be looking to get another set one day!

高考英语阅读 文体类型及阅读理解答题技巧 一、英语阅读文体类型简析 高考英语阅读常见的文体类型有：记叙文、议论文、说明文和应用文。 1、记叙文 英语记叙文以描写叙述为主，主要描写人物、事件、地点、或过程。特点是，其主题往往潜伏在字里行间，没有直接地表白出来；文章主旨要透过体察所揭示的人物、事件来进行提炼。描写手法大多按时间跨度、空间顺序、上下顺序来展开。阅读记叙文体应采取略读和扫读的方法，快速抓住文中描写的主要内容，从整体上去把握文章的连贯性，进而大体上揣测出作者的写作意图及情感主线。高考阅读就记叙文设题大多以细节理解为主。 2、议论文 英语议论文通常为三段式，即“论点、论据、结论”三部份组成。首先借助某一现象引出论点，然后通过一定论据从各个层面上加以推理论证，最后得出结论。议论文体主要考查学生对论点及论据的把握。因此，遇到议论文体时，应采取抓主题句的方法来把握文章主旨，弄清作者的观点。一般来说，作者的论点通常在文章首段被引出，接着是对这一论点的逻辑推理和论证，最后为结论。还应注意的是：在对论点论证的过程中，每一段的首句都是该段的主题句。把握全文论点、弄清论证各段的主题句、理解文章层次、找出中心论点的位置是理解议论文的关键。 就议论文而言，其论证的常见结构方式有： 1，总分式总---分；分----总；总----分---总； 2，并列式几个论据之间属于平等关系； 3，递进式几个论据之间属于递进关系； 4，对照式把两种事物加以对比，以彰显其中一种。 3、说明文 英语说明文的总体结构通常为三部份，说明对象、说明过程和归纳总结。常见的说明方法： 1，定义与诠释说明； 2，举例与引用说明； 3，分类与图表说明； 4，比较与比喻说明； 5，分析与综合说明； 就高考英语说明文的阅读而言，首先要抓住文章说明的要点，也就是要抓住被说明对象的实质性特征；弄清作者从哪个角度、哪个层面开始说明；并明白文章最后的说明结论。高考说明文阅读材料通常介绍最新科技、重大成就、生活时尚、流行现象等。了解说明文的写作手法、说明方法，理清短文结构及段落中心思想是答题关键。 4、应用文

高考英语考前指导 一、现阶段英语复习最应该注意哪些方面 主持人：各位网友大家好，欢迎来到网易高考聊天室参加网易教育频道和中学生报合作举办的高考名师面对面系列活动。今天我们非常荣幸地邀请到广州广雅中学的英语老师唐立新老师，就高考英语冲刺等问题指导考生学习。 主持人：唐老师，首先请您跟网友打声招呼吧！ 唐立新：Good evening everybody! 主持人：首先请唐老师谈谈现阶段英语复习最应该注意哪些方面。 唐立新：目前，离高考还剩下这么短的时间情况下，无论学习程度怎么样，学习好还是差，考得好还是靠得砸了，都面对短时间高效的复习。根据历年高考备考的经验来看，在这个时候，绝对不能埋头作题。不能停留在题海里面，短期内最好的办法， 如果有的同学积累了错题集的，这段时间就是研究曾经错的题，就解决了这部分的问题，如果做题海也就是暴露部分的问题，这样花费的时间比较长一点，如果平时没有积累错题集的同学，也要注意一个问题。作题的时候要有选择的做，不要拼命的做语法上的题，这样时间花费得太多，效果不好。 先说中等左右的同学，这段时期应该在不同的题星上考虑拿高分，还有作文的问题，所以要研究下短期内提高得分率。对于一些程度比较差的同学，在临近高考的时间内，不要慌张，不要想单词很多的不会怎么办，一天到晚背单词也是不行的，现阶段最关键的是将基础的内容再过一遍，越是基础的越容易被大家忽略。 成绩好的同学要调整自己的心态，这也是很关键的，调整心态，对所有参加高考的同学都很重要，在这个问题上，我想关键是状态，我们平常埋头作题，不考虑策略，现在就要考虑策略，我说的策略就是一种状态，我不能我一天全部搞英语，明天和后天就将英语放在一边，这样是不行的。 每天保持一种作题的状态，每一种题每天都要接触，不能今天做语法，明天背单词，要综合的每天保持一种题型的感觉，就象高考的感觉。 我们的一模、二模的时候我们暴露出来的问题，也是在后一段时间努力改进和提高的，就是查漏补缺，避免和少犯重复的错误，刚才提的错题集，这里过一次，就避免高考的时候重返错误的，这就是进步。 我强调的另外一点就是做比自己水平高的题，平常做100道题有90道对了，我认为是浪费时间，因为题型比较简单，做难的题目，100道错80道，就暴露了问题，也不要太钻牛角尖，从今天开始，到高考的时间，我们要倒过来，要做比自己水平低的题目，就是容易的题目，就是给自己好的心态，以前错了不怕，如果现在老是错，心态就会不舒服，要给自己一个好的感觉，感觉进步了，我做了100道题，只错了2个，五篇阅读基本上都对了，这就可以调整心态，我认为大家要注意这几个问题。 还有一个就是心理的问题，始终给自己一个好的暗示，就是我行，相信高考一定会考得比一模、二模要好。所以很多的老师说，你们的一模跟高考一样，我认为这样的说法是非常错误的，例如广州的一模和高考相比，我认为比高考难度大。但是个体情况要因人而异，很多的同学在一模的时候考得非常好，所以就太相信自己考得很好，反而高考时可能会一塌糊涂，所以一模和二模考试不要影响，考得好不要忽视，考得不好，要调整心态，高考的时候，肯定会有所提高。 二、如何在一个月内快速提升词汇量？ 主持人：刚才唐老师总结了现阶段复习最主要的几个方面：查漏补缺，做错题集，还要调整自己的心态。有很多的同学都反应英语单词特别的难记，如何在一个月内快速的提升单词的
