hello, chicago!

if there is anyone out there who still doubts that america is a place where all things are possible; who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time; who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer.

its the answer told by lines that stretched around schools and churches in numbers this nation has never seen; by people

who waited three hours and four hours, many for the first time

in their lives, because they believed that this time must be different; that their voices could be that difference.

its the answer spoken by young and old, rich and poor, democrat and republican, black, white, hispanic, asian, native american, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled - americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been just

a collection of individuals or a collection of red states and blue states: we are, and always will be, the united states of america.

its the answer that –that led those who’ve been told for so

long by so many to be cynical, and fearful, and doubtful about what we can achieve to put their hands on the arc of history

and bend it once more toward the hope of a better day. its

been a long time coming, but tonight, because of what we did

on this day, in this election, at this defining moment, change

has come to america.

a little bit earlier this evening, i received an extraordinarily gracious call from senator mccain. senator mccain fought long and hard in this campaign, and hes fought even longer and harder for the country that he loves. he has endured sacrifices for america that most of us cannot begin to imagine. we are better off for the service rendered by this brave and selfless leader. i congratulate him, i congratulate governor palin for all they’ve achieved, and i lo ok forward to working with them to renew this nations promise in the months ahead.

i want to thank my partner in this journey, a man who campaigned from his heart and spoke for the men and women he grew up with on the streets of scranton and rode with on

that train home to delaware, the vice president-elect of the united states, joe biden.

and i would not be standing here tonight without the unyielding support of my best friend for the last sixteen years, the rock of our family, the love of my life, our nations next first lady, michelle obama.

sasha and malia, i love you both more than you can imagine, and you have earned the new puppy thats coming with us to

the white house.

and while shes no longer with us, i know my grandmother is watching, along with the family that made me who i am. i miss them tonight, i know that my debt to them is beyond measure.

to my sister maya, my sister auma, all my other brothers and sisters, thank you so much for all the support that you’ve given me. i am grateful to them.

to my campaign manager david plouffe, the unsung hero of this campaign who built the best – the best political campaign i think in the history of the united states of america;to my chief strategist david axelrod, who has been a partner with me every step of the way, to the best campaign team ever assembled in the history of politics – you made this happen, and i am forever grateful for what youve sacrificed to get it done.

but above all, i will never forget who this victory truly belongs to - it belongs to you. it belongs to you.

i was never the likeliest candidate for this office. we didnt start with much money or many endorsements. our campaign was not hatched in the halls of washington - it began in the backyards of des moines and the living rooms of concord and the front porches of charleston.

it was built by working men and women who dug into what little savings they had to give five dollars and ten dollars and twenty dollars to the cause. it grew strength from the young people who rejected the myth of their generations apathy; who

left their homes and their families for jobs that offered little pay and less sleep; it grew strength from the not-so-young people who braved the bitter cold and scorching heat to knock on the doors of perfect strangers; from the millions of americans who volunteered, and organized, and proved that more than two centuries later, a government of the people, by the people and for the people has not perished from this earth. this is your victory.

i know you didnt do this just to win an election and i know you didnt do it for me. you did it because you understand the enormity of the task that lies ahead. for even as we celebrate tonight, we know the challenges that tomorrow will bring are the greatest of our lifetime - two wars, a planet in peril, the worst financial crisis in a century. even as we stand here tonight, we know there are brave americans waking up in the deserts of iraq and the mountains of afghanistan to risk their lives for us. there are mothers and fathers who will lie awake after their children fall asleep and wonder how theyll make the mortgage, or pay their doctors bills, or save enough for their child’s college education. there is new energy to harness and new jobs to be created; new schools to build and threats to meet and alliances to repair.

the road ahead will be long. our climb will be steep. we may

not get there in one year or even in one term, but america - i have never been more hopeful than i am tonight that we will

get there. i promise you - we as a people will get there.

there will be setbacks and false starts. there are many who

wont agree with every decision or policy i make as president, and we know that government cant solve every problem. but i will always be honest with you about the challenges we face. i will listen to you, especially when we disagree. and above all, i will ask you to join in the work of remaking this nation the only way its been done in america for 221 years - block by block, brick by brick, calloused hands by calloused hands.

what began 21 months ago in the depths of winter can not

end on this autumn night. this victory alone is not the change we seek - it is only the chance for us to make that change. and that cannot happen if we go back to the way things were. it cannot happen without you, without a new spirit of service, a new spirit of sacrifice. so let us summon a new spirit of patriotism, of responsibility where each of us resolves to pitch in and work harder and look after not only ourselves, but each other.

obama re-election bid announcement

us president barack obama has announced his intention to stand for a second term in office in 2012. here is the full text of the e-mail, published by us media outlets. today, we are filing papers to launch our 2012 campaign.

were doing this now because the politics we believe in does not start with expensive tv ads or extravaganzas, but with you - with people organizing block-by-block, talking to neighbors,

co-workers, and friends.

and that kind of campaign takes time to build.

so even though im focused on the job you elected me to do, and the race may not reach full speed for a year or more, the work of laying the foundation for our campaign must start today.

it never does.

as we take this step, id like to share a video that features some folks like you who are helping to lead the way on this journey. please take a moment to watch:

well start by doing something unprecedented: coordinating millions of one-on-one conversations between supporters across every single state, reconnecting old friends, inspiring new ones to join the cause, and readying ourselves for next years fight. this will be my final campaign, at least as a candidate.

and it will succeed only if we work together.

today, simply let us know youre in to help us begin, and then spread the word: thank you,

barack

paid for by obama for america篇二:美国首任黑人总统奥巴马竞选演讲稿(中英) obama: the change we need

reserve chairman alan greenspan now believes was a mistake. america needs a new direction. thats why im running for president of the united states.

tomorrow, you can give this country the change we need.

if theres one thing weve learned from this economic crisis, its that we are all in this together. from ceos to shareholders, from financiers to factory workers, we all have a stake in each others success because the more americans prosper, the more america prospers.

thats why weve had titans of industry whove made it their mission to pay well enough that their employees could afford the products they made -- businessmen like warren buffett, whose support im proud to have. thats why our economy hasnt just been the worlds

greatest wealth creator -- its been the worlds greatest job generator. its been the tide that has lifted the boats of the largest middle class in history.

to rebuild that middle class, ill give a tax break to 95% of workers and their families. if you work, pay taxes, and make less than $200,000, youll get a tax cut. if you make more

than$250,000, youll still pay taxes at a lower rate than in the 1990s -- and capital gains and dividend taxes one-third lower than they were under president reagan.

well create two million new jobs by rebuilding our crumbling infrastructure and laying broadband lines that reach every corner of the country. ill invest $15 billion a year over the next decade in renewable energy, creating five million new, green jobs that pay well, cant be outsourced, and can help end our dependence on middle east oil. none of this will be easy. it wont happen overnight. but i believe we can do this because i believe in america. this is the country that allowed our parents and grandparents to believe that even if they couldnt go to college, they could save a little bit each week so their child could; that even if they couldnt have their own business, they could work hard enough so their child could open one of their own. and at every moment in our history, weve risen to meet our challenges because weve never forgotten the fundamental truth that in america, our destiny is not written for us, but by us.

next great chapter. i ask you to believe -- not just in my ability to bring about change, but in yours. tomorrow, you can choose policies that invest in our middle class, create new jobs, and grow this economy so that everyone has a chance to succeed. you can choose hope over fear, unity over division, the

promise of changeover the power of the status quo. if you give me your vote, we wont just win this election -- together, we will change this country and change the world.

And I want to start today by saying how grateful I am to all of you, to everyone who poured your hearts and your hopes into this campaign, who drove for miles and lined the streets waving homemade signs, who scrimped and saved to raise money, who knocked on doors and made calls, who talked, sometimes argued with your friends and neighbors, who e-mailed and contributed online, who invested so much in our common enterprise, to the moms and dads who came to our events, who lifted their little girls and little boys on their shoulders and whispered in their ears, "See, you can be anything you want to be."

Ma Hannover Expo opening ceremony speech Good evening everyone! Dear chancellor Merkel, deputy prime minister Makai, ministers, ladies and gentlemen, it’smy great honor to speak in the CeBIT. It's difficult to get a booth, finally, we got a small booth, we got the booth, but very few people found us. Eight years ago, we came back again, We tried to help off the booth to move them online, help them to sell on the Alibaba , it didn't work, it goes at that time, people think, the trade fair and online are conflict to each other. Today I come back again, the reason that I come back again, is trying to find the important missing part of the Internet business, Internet in the past 20 years, was pretty successful, but one thing that is very strange that I found that very few Internet companies can survive peacefully and healthily for more than 3 years, that means most of the Internet companies can only have honeydays, honey weeks, they don’t have even

Thank you very much! I am so humbled and honored to be here tonight. I never thought that I would have a chance in my life to be in the United Nations. I learned my English by myself when I was 12 years old, for whatever reasons, I don't know. I just felt in love with this language. Every morning from 5 oclock I rode a bicycle for 40 minutes, to the Hangzhou hotel looking for foreign tourists to teach me English. I showed them around the city, they taught me English. Since then, I began to have a habit. You should use your own brain to think about it, just one more minutes. When everything about it is yes, wait one minute. When everybody says no, wait for one minute. Think about it carefully. Cause if you look at the world from a different way, you may do it in a different way. And tonight, Im so honored to be inspired by all the Game Changer partners. By listening to their stories, I know there are so many things I should do,

美国总统林肯演讲稿 inaugural speech by abraham lincoln march 4th 1861 speech: i do not consider it necessary at present for me to discuss those matters of administration about which there is no special anxiety or excitement. apprehension seems to exist among the people of the southern states that by the accession of a republican administration their property and their peace and personal security are to be endangered. there has never been any reasonable cause for such apprehension. indeed, the most ample evidence to the contrary has all the while existed and been open to their inspection. it is found in nearly all the published speeches of him who now addresses you. i do but quote from one of those speeches when i declare that: i have no purpose, directly or indirectly, to interfere with the institution of slavery in the states where it exists. i believe i have no lawful right to do so, and i have no inclination to do so. those who nominated and elected me did so with full knowledge that i had made this and many similar declarations and had never recanted them; and more than this, they placed in the platform for my acceptance, and as a law to themselves and to me, the clear and emphatic resolution which i now read: resolved, that the maintenance inviolate of the rights of the states, and especially the right of each state to order and control its own domestic institutions according to its own judgment exclusively, is essential to that balance of power on which the perfection and endurance of our political fabric depend; and we denounce the lawless invasion by armed force of the soil of any state or territory, no matter what pretext, as among the gravest of crimes. i now reiterate these sentiments, and in doing so i only press upon the public attention the most conclusive evidence of which the case is there is much controversy about the delivering up of fugitives from service or labour. the clause i now read is as plainly written in the constitution as any other of its provisions: no person held to service or labour in one state, under the laws thereof, escaping into another, shall in consequence of any law or regulation therein be discharged from such service or labour, but shall be delivered up on claim of the party to whom such service or labour may be due. there is some difference of opinion whether this clause should be enforced by national or by state authority, but surely that difference is not a very material one. if the slave is to be surrendered, it can be of but little consequence to him or to others by which authority it is done. and should anyone in any case be content that his oath shall go un-kept on a merely unsubstantial controversy as to how it shall be kept? again: in any law upon this subject ought not all the safeguards of liberty known in civilized and humane jurisprudence to be introduced, so that a free man be not in any case surrendered as a slave? and might it not be well at the same time to provide

Small is beautiful for 21st century: Jack Ma CHIEF executives of the world's biggest companies will meet Apec leaders at Suntec today to begin discussions on ways to rebuild the global economy. But yesterday, Chinese entrepreneur Jack Ma of alibaba had a different message for 700 bosses of small and medium-sized enterprises SME attending the Apec SME Summit at nearby Raffles City: Small is beautiful. 'In the last century, big was better,' said the China-based e-commerce company's founder. 'But in the 21st century, I believe small is beautiful because it is not about how much equipment you have, it is about how quickly you can change yourself to meet the market.' Giving a rousing keynote address at the event - regarded as a sideshow to today's Apec CEO Summit - Mr Ma took a poke at larger corporates that suffered beatings during the financial crisis. Speaking to a packed ballroom, he said the crisis had been disastrous for many big names in the West. 'All the big companies which we all wanted to be like - today, they have all died. But we SMEs - yes we felt the pain - but we are happier now because we survived.' Mr Ma, who trained as a high school teacher in Hangzhou, founded the Alibaba Group in 1999 after successfully starting China Pages, widely believed to be the mainland's first dot, in 1995. A popular speaker at global business conferences, he also gave his take on government bailouts offered to larger companies and financial institutions. 'We have heard so many stories about big companies in trouble... They are the troublemakers, we should not give them so much support, let them die, it is time for them to die,' he said, to loud applause. Mr Ma added that if governments want strong economies, they should turn their attention to SMEs and give incentives to individuals starting their own businesses. His reason: SME owners may start small, but they dream big: 'We believe we are tomorrow's Google, we believe we are tomorrow's eBay, we believe we are tomorrow's UPS.'

the following is the ma at stanford university speech: ma : hello everyone . today i feel very honored to be here to meet you . about a few months ago , stanford invited me to lecture . i did not expect . many people say that because of all about yahoo , alibaba, and many other news, this time to speak here is very sensitive . but since i made a promise that i came. today, if you have any questions to ask me, i will be to answer every qestions. i came to the united states today is the first 15 days , and i was too tired . in 1994 i created my career, discovered the internet, and crazy, and then gave up my teaching job . at that time i felt like a mongolian eyes like riding on the back of the tiger blind , all the way to throw beat fight, but still struggle, survive . work for the government for 16 months after the 1999 establishment of ali baba . particular, this years challenge is too difficult , and this is what i did not expect to . chinese people say that every 12 years is an animal year . alibaba in china this year happens to be the first 12 years, have encountered many difficult issues , such as suppliers of fraud earlier this year because of events leading to the resignation of wealthy father , nor very powerful uncles , do not want to have thechance of success. i remember in 1999 came to silicon valley looking for funding , with many venture capitalists approached , growth will occur in china . then i founded alibaba, 12 years have passed , and today
