the difference between my high school life and my college life i have been a college student for three months. it’s hard to express my feelings about my collegial life. all i want to say are some words like wonderful colorful and comfortable.

before i came to my college i often dreamed about the life in there. first i hope i will have some lovely roommates so that i can have a peaceful life in my dorm. then i hope my school will be as beautiful as what i expected. last i hope i will have a good environment to study.

on the day term begins, all these have come true.

my school is beautiful and huge. it takes more than an hour to visit the whole school. it’s almost ten times as big as my high school. there are many rivers, small forests, two playgrounds and a mini zoo in my school and you can see trees and flowers everywhere.

? life

before i came to my college, i have never lived without my family. so they were very worried about whether i could live myself. but the truth was that i have done a good job. i can live myself very well. what’s more, i could manage my money very well, too.

when i was a high school student, i always thought i was a child and i

could do everything i like. so i bought everything i like even it was useless. i wasted a lot of money which were given by my parents. but now, the money belongs to me. if i save it, i can use it later on when i need it.

i have five roommates. every one of them is kind and friendly. after so many days living together, we have known each other a little. i like them very much. in my high school, my classmates always talked about the tv show or the tv star in korea. i didn’t like these, so most time we had nothing to talk. but with my roommates, we can talk what happened recently days or even we can talk about how to wash shoes.

i love my fantastic school’s library. i can almost find every book i want there. i can study or have a nap on the sofa there. another difference is that now what i learn is what i like. i learn it to my own desires. so i feel happy to study everything in my classes.

besides these, there are still something same between my high school and my college. first of all, wherever i am, i still a student and the most important thing for me is to study. second, i do everything for my dream and the dream is the same as before.

where there is a will, there is a way. i believe if i do everything as

perfect as i can. sooner or later i will let my dream come true. so the college is just a place where can let me fly high. whatever it likes, i love here.

in the second place, who could guarantee that a high school graduates would make a success in business field. apparently they are lack of professional business knowledge and experience. what’s the most important is that they are lack of contacts. those factors will make them fail every easily, even though they have a strong money backup from their parents.

according to a recent research, most chinese college students can not speak exact english pronunciation. nearly every chinese student learns english in universities. chinese teachers teach language is easy to be accepted and followed, but that’s not native pronunciation and tone. we students can’t feel the all-english learning environment. as far as i am concerned, it’s necessary to hire foreign teachers to instruct students.

根据最近的一项研究,大多数中国大学生的英语发音不准确。几乎每一个中国学生都在学英语。中国的老师教的语言很容易被接受和遵守,但是那不是本地的发音和语调。我们学生不能感觉到同属英格兰的学习环境。在我看来,在大学里有必要聘请外籍教师指导学生。

to start with, foreign teachers, being a foreigner, they can teach us what chinese teacher can’t do. through communicating with them, we will learn exact english pronunciation and tone. what’s more, that will improve our listening and speaking. choose this way to instruct is good for us to learn a language better. i don’t know how to pronounce “thank” until i came to inter national college. my pronunciation was wrong before i touch the foreign teacher. his native tone gives me a lot help.

secondly, foreign teachers’ instruction can practice students’ communicative speed. for example, when two chinese people chat in english, the atmosphere is different with a chinese talk with a foreigner. two chinese, especially students, can’t cooperate

well. their discussion is not smooth at all. when you face a foreign teacher, he will guide you to think, correct and speak out.

its about half a year since i entered the college, and i find the way of study in college is different from the study in high school. next i will share my opinions with you.

firstly, were more or less pushed by our teachers to learn to

get a great grade at high school. thats to say, its not initiative. on the contrary, on the college campus, no one would push us to study, except our-self. whats more, at high school, our teachers

explained almost every word and text specific, but our new teachers would not explain as detailed as high school teachers.首先，在高中我们或多或少都是被老师逼着去学习来取得好的成绩。也就是说，并不是积极主动的。相反，在大学校园里，没人会逼我

secondly, at high school, were only permitted to study science subject or humanities subject, and we would study extremely hard to get more marks which made us stay up. worse still, in spare time, we never did some sporting and relaxed ourselves so as to not fall behind in the study. however, in college, were allowed to learn what were interested in. besides, when were free, we always take part in great variety activities which

makes us obtain different ability.

其次，在高中，我们只要学习文科或者理科，为了得高分我们会很

努力地学习，甚至经常熬夜。而且，在业余时间，为了不在学习上

hello, everyone. i’m a. today, i’m very glad to stand here and give my speech. and the title of my speech is “my high school life versus my life at college.”

most of us may have felt great changes in life after we entered college, of course me. in my opinion, my life at college differs from my high school life in many ways, no matter i like or dislike.

first, when i was in high school, i was absorbed in studying and didn’t have enough time to play and rest. however, at college, i have much time to eich my life, such as joining colorful activities, watching interesting tv shows, doing part-time jobs. it is leisure and freedom.

second, on the studying. on the one hand, the teachers at college are no longer forcing me to learn. i’m learning by self-conscious. the teachers only tell me the different approaches

i’m also faced with many other challenges. for example, in high school, i spent most of my time in school and home. while at college, i must out school in society and contact with different people. another challenge for me is that the communications among the classmates and the time we play with each other is less than in high school, which makes that we can’t get to know each other well.
