1.What‘s your favorite subject/course? Do you think people who major in your field can find a job easily when they graduate?

Well , I‘m interested in many subjects . But my favorite one is English coz you know English abilities give you a competitive edge and improve your chances of employment. Also, a good command of English may help you a lot when traveling around the world.

You know I‘m majoring in information security which belongs to computer science. And I think people who major in the field can find a job easily,because information security is really a promising field.People working in the field also get a high salary but as a result they often work overtime .

2.Is your hometown a good place for young people? Can you tell me something about the public transport system in your hometown? What do you dislike about your hometown?

You know my hometown Zhenjiang is a small but fabulous city which located at the side of Changjiang river. As I see it , Zhenjiang is a pretty good place for young folks coz you know Zhenjiang is a peaceful and quiet city. People there are living a cozy life. Young folks can go hiking, jogging and even fishing in their leisure time. This is benefit for their growth. So my hometown is a good place for the young.

Zhenjiang has a developed transport system, which is made up of minibus, shuttle bus, ferry and so on. It is quite convenient coz the bus routes are designed reasonably so that everyone in the city can arrive wherever they want . Besides , the bus drivers in Zhenjiang are pretty gentle.

When talking about the things that I dislike in my hometown , I may say the roads coz you know the roads there are so narrow that during peaking hours the buses almost can't move.But the government is planning to broaden the roads and I think the traffic problems will get solved in the near future.

3.Do you live in a house or a flat? Have you ever considered moving to another

place? Which is your favourite room in your house/ flat? Do you like your neighbours?

I live in an apartment with my parents. Even it is small and a little bit decrepit , I still love it because I have lived in the apartment for almost 10 years. It contains many precious memories of mine. So I have never considered moving out.

My favorite room is my bedroom coz I decorate it with my favorite photos , books and dolls.

Coz we family live in an apartment ,we seldom meet our neighbors .But we are in a good relationship because we often help each other .For example, when it rains ,they will remind me or my parents to put away clothes vice versa. Such little things happen a lot.

4.Can you drive? How often do you take a taxi? When was the last time you took a taxi?

Yes, I can. I got my driving license last year. I spent a lot of time learning driving skills and traffic laws so that I could pass the exam. I can drive to somewhere far away with my friends nowadays, it brings me a lot of fun.

I seldom take a cab coz you know when compared with bus and subway, the cost of taking a cab is much higher. But if I‘m in a hurry to do something,cab will be my first choice.

The last time I took a taxi was this Monday. I was going to take a party but I was late. So in order to be punctual I took a taxi. Fortunately I arrived there in time.

5.Do you think bicycles will become more popular in the future?

Have you ever travelled by train? Do people in your country like to travel by train? Well，as you know，China is a developing country which already have a lot of bicycles . Instead of bicycles I think cars will become more popular in the future coz cars benefit a lot to our daily life and the price is becoming acceptable to more people .

Yes , I travelled by train a lot of times coz you know as a kind of public transport system, railway system in China is being developed in a fast speed. We can arrive at the destination timely. So it is convenient for us to travel or work by train.

6.Why is it important to be punctual? Are you often late for things?

Well，you know as the pace of life is becoming faster and faster , time for us modern people is more precious when compared with the past I think. So it is necessary for us to be punctual, especially when we work, attend class go for a date and so on. Also,being punctual is also some kind a polite manner. So I‘m seldom late for things which makes my friends think I‘m a punctual person.

7.Can you tell me something about your favorite kind of TV shows? Do you think the TV shows today are different from the TV shows you watched as a child?

Well, although I seldom watch TV, I do like ELLEN SHOW which is broadcast in America and I watch it on the Internet. Ellen show is a interview program which always starts with an audience dance and the host—Ellen degenous is a humous women. The way she talking with the Interviewees can make the whole audience laugh out loud. What‘s more I can learn many fields of the oversea culture though Ellen show which is a good way to broaden my horizon.

Let me think about it. Well,judging from the form and content I do think the TV shows nowadays are different from the TV shows I watched as a little girl. The TV shows nowadays are richer and more colorful and hence attracting more audience.

8.How many languages can you speak? Do you want to learn another language? How are you going to learn it?

You know I have been learning English since primary school and I learnt French last year in my university also I‘m learning Japanese this term. So adding Chinese I can speak 4 languages . But my french and Japanese are not that fluent because of the lack of practice.

Cuz my french and Japanese are not very good ,so I don‘t wanna swift my time to another language at present. If I can command the two languages to some

extend,maybe I would set up my mind to learn another.

Well, when talking about the method of learning a new language,I think the quickest way to get to know the basic components of a language is to have the classes. But

you know the teacher only plays a role of guiding you to learn it , to acquire it and command it, you need to understand and practice.

As a student majoring in computer science ,I have to read lots of materials that are written in English ,so I use dictionaries frequently.Actually I don‘t even have a paper dictionary cuz it‘s too heavy to carry. E-dictionaries are in fact programs which are loaded into computers or phones so they are really convenient 。

OK，since I just moved into a new house last year,I would like to introduce my house to you. It‘s a one floor house with a small garden in the back yard.My house is about 150 square metres. When you enter the door,there is a living room.On the left side,there are 2 bedrooms.One is for my parents and the other is for me.On the right side ,it comprised of 3 rooms.They are study,kitchen and bathroom.

In addition ,the interior design is worth mentioning.Their is a big French window that overlooks a garden on the wall of the living room.So it is really an relaxing thing to look outside after reading for a long time.

I‘d like to talk about my favorite gardens in my hometown.It is called 沃德garden and it is located at the centre of my hometown so it is kind of a symbol of my hometown —-Zhenjiang.

The garden don‘t charge entrance fees ,so everyone can enter the garden as many times as they want.Inside you can immediately see two line statues at the both side of the entrance.As you go further, you will come across a fountain and in it you will see a lot of coins,because tourists see it as a wishing fountain.Not far from the fountain you will see a big lake and a man-made island in the center.People often spend their time fishing around the lake.

I often go there on weekend with my parents.My mom sometime will take a big cloth so that we can seat on the cloth and chat happily. It‘s really a good way to strength family ties.

The place that I travelled when I was a child is Xihu,which is a famous place in city Hangzhou. This is a fabulous city with great food ,friendly local people and of course beautiful sceneries.

I travelled with my parents and a friend of mine—兆秋.It only took us 3 hours by bus I remembered to get to Xihu. During the bus time ,me and 兆秋were asked to play an act, so we two sang a song,and after that the whole people in bus clapped for us.

When we arrived at our destination Xihu. We were immediately attracted by the huge and peaceful lake. Since it was summer, there were many lotus leaves and lotus flowers which made the lake full of vigor . We four people rent a boat to go boating , with the breeze and the splendid water , I suddenly felt it was a dream, so wonderful. After that ,we visited a tower beside the lake. It is a seven-floor tower which was first constructed in宋dynasty,and it has been rebuilt for lot of times. When we climb the tower we found many rilievoes and paintings which all have a long history. It is a good way for children to learn about the culture of China.

The food there is also worth mentioning. Although I can‘t remember all the food I ate, Xihu cuyu was impressional. It was a dish that made of fish caught from Xihu , the out layer of the fish was crisp because the cook wrapped up the fish with wheat flour and then fried the fish.The fresh of fish was tender and a little bit sour. If I have a chance, I will go there for a second time!

The place I‘d like to talk about is my primary school—-高桥primary school , where I spent 6 years studying and playing .

The school is two streets away from my home. It always took me 10 minutes to walk to school. In my memory the gate of the school was guarded by two old men.Only when you took along the school card which was given out by the school as a school ID can you enter the school.

After you enter the school, you‘ll find a big playground, and we have two playgrounds, this is one for doing exercises and the other one which is located at the back of our school is used for students to take PE classes. When you go

further ,you‘ll come across our teaching buildings.These are 3 linked buildings and each building is used for two grades, for example ,the building one is used for grade 1 and grade 2,the building 2 is used for grade 3 and grade 4 and so on. Just behind the teaching building you find a small gym,but we seldom use it .Only when we come across the rainy days we will go to the gym to have PE classes.

The environment of my primary school is also great. On every tree planting festival, the leader of each grade will plant a tree in our campus so in our school you can see a lot of trees.

I think it‘s really an honor to spend my childhood life there, I made lots of friends and had lots of fun there.

Well,the shopping mall I‘ll talk about is 万达 shopping mall, a big and luxury building which located at the east side of my hometown—Zhenjiang. The shopping mall has 3 floors and an underground floor which is used as a super market. On first floor , there are some stores selling jewelries and cosmetic . Also there are some luxury bands but few people can afford the pay. The second floor is full of clothes-selling stores,which can attract hundreds of females to go there shopping,me included.The third floor is a paradise for foodies, there are different kinds of food including western food, Chinese food, Korea food and Japanese food .There are also a cinema with IMAX rooms.

I often date with my boyfriend in 万达 shopping mall. The cool air and the relaxing atmosphere make us feel comfortable.

I‘d like to talk about the Jinshang tower in my hometown , a building with a long history . It was a place used by monks to conserve buddhism books in the past .The tower has 7 stories like all the other temples in China. You can attend the top floor by climbing the screwing upstairs . The tower has been rebuilt by our government to guarantee it won‘t fall down one day. On each center of the floor, there are some displays of culture relics . In my memory ,there are paintings ,chinas, and remaining buddhism books.You can feel the rich civilization of our country.

Well，since my dream is to travel around different cities to see how wonderful the world really are, I have some listed countries that I must visit.

France is one of it. It is a romantic country not only because of its romantic story that we know for example Romeo and Juliet but also its language. I learnt french last year and found it a soft language I have ever known.What‘s more Paris as a capital city of France ,is a mystery and charming place for all the girls because Paris is a symbol of fashion.

I have seen Eiffel tower on TV and Internet for many times,I‘ve been caught by the design and the height of it. It was broadcast on TV that the lights on the towel will be lightened up , so I really wanna see it on my own.

Let me talk about the captain in my family—-my father. We call him captain because he really plays an important role in my family. He makes big money for our family and always helps me make correct decisions, I admire him a lot.

He is just average in terms of his appearance,and just like me wearing a pair of glasses. But he is very kind to people,every friend of mine describes him as a gentle uncle.

My father helped me solve many problems. When I get confused and lose my faith to do something ,he will encourage me and tell me some examples to cheer me up. Thanks to him , I grow up healthily and happily and become a women of strong will. Describe a situation when you received useful advice.

I think the most important decision I‘ve made is choosing the college . I was so confused that time and didn‘t know which college and which major were best for me.

I‘d like to talk about my favorite chef——my grand mother. We call her chef because the dishes she made are very delicious. I like the chicken soup she makes. And each vocation when I‘m back , my grandma will cook it for me.

My grandma is beautiful in her age I think. Even she is 79 years old, she still looks like an 60-year old lady.

She has a very healthy lifestyle and an open heart. She gets up at around 6 o‘clock in the morning and sleeps at about 8 o‘clock in the evening and seldom breaks the routine. Also, after she wakes up, she will do some exercises with some other old people ,this makes her stay fit.

I thing that I like to do with her is to listen the stories that she speaks. She has told me lots of interesting stories including the first date with my grandpa and the hard times she has been through. At the same time I will do the massage to her. I wanna talk about my favorite friend 赵艺.

We first met in the classroom of my high school. So we were classmates. The first impression she gave to me is a quiet , average appearance girl. But when we know each other further , I fond she was actually a little bit naughty inside .

The thing that touched me a lot is a birthday gift she presented to me. It is a delicate box . When I opened the box , I was immediately get caught. There are 18 colorful roses made up of paper. She said each flower cost her half an hour to fold up , so the gift took her almost a day to accomplish . What a touching thing. From that time , I regard her as my life long friend.

After we graduate from high school ,we both come to Beijing to attend college. Nowadays,we often hang out on weekends and share the happy and sorrows with each other.

Well , I think an coincident meet with an old friend is an exciting thing. On past summer holiday, when I was walking on the street looking for a suitable present for my boyfriend‘s coming birthday. I heard someone not far calling my name. I head up and found a young girl pushing a baby carriage . Suddenly I realize that she is my primary classmate 秦朗. At that moment I just wanna scream,but I didn‘t . We hadn‘t seen each other for 10 years . After we asked the recent situation of each other , I knew she got married last year and had baby this year . And she lived a happy life now.

When talking about a conversation with a stranger, a conversation with an old man from Holland occurs in my mind . When I was in a journey in Singapore alone, just at the crossroad waiting for the green light. A tall man suddenly said hi to me. Out of polite, I said hi back. Then our conversation started.

We asked about the nationality of each other and some other basic information. I thought he wanted to make an oversea friend just as I thought. But it proved to be wrong immediately. He suddenly said ―Wow, your skin feels so smooth. Asia girls‘skins are always good than Western girls‖. After he said that ,I felt something wrong. Then he introduced me to watch movies. I thought he might be a bad guy,and out of safety reasons I rejected him and made a excuse to leave him.

I‘d like to talk about one of my favorite pop music singers——Jay Zhou. Nobody of my age has never heard his name cuz he is some kind of a superstar in the field of pop music.

Not like other idols, Jay zhou is average in terms of his appearance . He has small eyes,but are also charming to his fans.

The style of his songs is not the same. He sang Chinese style songs ,hip hops and so on and all the songs in his albums are made on his own. So he is quite gifted at music. Also,he is a man of a loving heart. Every year he will donate part of his money to help the chirlden from poor families to go back to school.

I‘d like to talk about the most popular comic star in China ——赵本山.

Nobody in China has never known him cuz the short sketches he performed in spring festival gala are the most popular part .

Like all the comic stars, his appearance is not that handsome but can impresses the audience. In his short sketches , he always plays a role as a stupid peasant . The acts and words are funny and can trigger sound laughters.

But he is old now maybe after few years we won‘t see him on TV. We gonna miss him.

I‘m gonna talk about the famous host in America, Ellen Degenerous who is the host of Ellen show.

I like the Ellen show very much even it don‘t broadcast in China, I still look for resources on the Internet.

Ellen looks smart and some kind of energetic with a short hair. She always wears a smile so that makes her acceptable and charming.

As a host in Ellen show, she can use her smart and humorous utterance to conquer the interviewees and the audience. You can hear a lot of laughters in the show. Describe an interesting job.

A job which is interesting to me I think is being a kindergarten teacher, as being a kindergarten teacher, your daily life is to take care of children and teach them how to study and independent.

Although it may takes you a lot of energy to handle the naughty children , you will also burst into laughter by their innocent move and words.

I love children a lot, so I consider being a kindergarten teacher is an interesting job. If I have the chance ,I will go to the kindergarten to experience the feeling of being a teacher.

Pandas are fascinating creatures.They are from China.They are chubby and look like bears.

Pandas are lovely animals.Most of them live in the deep forest in Sichuan province in China. They have white fur. though their shoulders, legs, ears , and eyes are black. Pandas are usually very heavy . Some of them can be about 1.5 metros tall and weight about 100 kilograms. However, pandas are very agile.They can climb trees easily as some other animals do.

Pandas live mainly for bamboo leaves. They have big and sharp teeth.They often spend a lot of time eating. Pandas also have free time hobbies. Two of their hobbies are climbing and sleeping. Sadly.there are not many pandas left in the world.That‘s because people keep cutting down trees, government should take measures to protect them.

I love the scenery of falling snowflakes so I love winter. Although the cold weather always makes my noise running and my toes frosty , when snowflakes start falling my heart will get floating . Not only because the beautiful sight, but the joy snow brings us.

Whenever I am asked about my favorite sport, my answer is always the same: swimming, you know，swimming is very popular in china coz it‘s probably one of the best all-around exercise. It keeps you fit and keeps your body in shape. Actually, I almost go swimming in of my community swimming pool t hrice[θra?s] a week.

Swimming skill is important coz sometimes it can really save your life. It‘s

a good work out coz it exercise every muscle in my body. When I float on the

water, I feel really calm and relaxed. Swimming just can let me get away from

my dull routine of everyday study.

Actually, at first, I don‘t know how to swim. I just swarm like a brick. But

my father taught me patiently how to kick[kik] my legs and control my breathing. Little by little, I got the hang of it and felt comfortable with the water. Eventually, I can swim like a fish now. I can swim thirty minutes and

still feel great. I am really thankful for my father.

Ok, well I have to admit that it has been a long while since I participated in a competition cuz I'm not really a sporty person.But one that sticks my memories most was a sports meeting holding by my high school.

At that time, since every class had to participate in the sports meeting, and the item eight hundred meters was left unvolunteered so I took up the challenge.

When I was in the track to prepare for the game, I was too nerves to hear the sound of the gun , so that when everybody ran had I realized the game started. So I left behind the others at first. I was a little bit scary seeing them running so fast. But hearing the encouragement from my classmates, I decided to pace up. And after a while ,as I expected, the others started to fall back , and I was able to overtake them . And on the last circle, I managed to overtake the leader and ended up winning the race.

At that moment I felt I was at the moon.

The story I wanna talk about is ―the boy who cries Wolf[wulf]‖. A naughty boy has many sheep. He looks after them every day. He feels boring and lonely and suddenly thinks out of an idea to play a trick with the people in the village. The boy shouts[?aut] loudly, ―Help, help, a big wolf‘s coming.‖Once the villagers hear the shouting, they go quickly to rescue [?reskju:] the boy with sticks[stik] and swords[s?:d].

However, when they arrive, they find out that the boy was telling a lie and then they go back to village annoyingly. A few minutes later, the boy is crying for wolf again. Some kind-hearted villagers come again but still find nothing and

go back in anger. The following day, when a wolf is actually coming, nobody responds to the boy‘s shouting.

Eventually, all the sheep of the boy‘s are eaten by the wolf. From this story, I understand that to be honest is the most important character that everybody should have. Once you tell a lie, nobody will trust you anymore. If you want to gain trust and credit from others, you shall never deceive[di'si:v] them in the first place. Otherwise, no one will respect you.

I saw the 3D movie together with my mom,that was the first time I had seen 3D movies, the scenery of avatar is really a breakthrough, but the story really not a breakthrough .

My friends and I visited Laoshe Teahouse in Beijing last summer. It was our first time to visit such a famous place. We not only had nice tea but also enjoyed Chinese traditional art performances. It has been quite an impressive experience to me, and to my friends, too.

The teahouse is to the southwest of Tian‘an Men Square. Its amazing Beijing style has attracted hundreds of visitors from home and abroad every day.

The performance began with a thrilling starting music. It was folk music played with Chinese traditional instruments. The drum beats immediately dragged people‘s attention. After starting music was Peking Opera Highlights with the name Presents from Magu. I didn‘t quite follow its plot because I didn‘t understand their singing. However, I like the music and the way it was presented. The most unforgettable show came when an artist from Sichuan started performing Face-Changing of Sichuan Opera. It was just like magic. He changed his face so quickly that no one could tell how he could manage that. This show gained much applause from the audience. Describe a useful website.

I am going to describe the social networking site, called MicroBlog. You know, MicroBlog is really very popular in China now, and some people even

get addicted to it. People can chat each other and post their latest information

or photos on to this website. Besides, they can pay close attention to their favorite celebrities. I also like to visit this website, because I can keep contact

with my friends through it.

However, posting your personal details onto this kind of social networking sites can bring some dangers too. When someone takes your personal information and pretend to be you, you may get a huge trouble. There is much coverage from the press that some adults post false information onto MicroBlog in order to meet some school age children. I suppose some censorship should be implemented to deal with this current issue.

In Chinese tradition we like to hold a very big and some kind of luxurious birthday party. So my parents invited lots and lots of people including my teachers ,my friends,my relatives and even some friends of my parents.

The first part of the party was having lunch ….

After some most of our guests left,the remaining people went to the Karaoke room to sing songs and took lot of pictures .

①The thing that helps me learn another language is an Electronic English-Chinese Dictionary. This gadget was given by my granny on my 18th birthday. It’s handy, glossy, and super thin.

②It has a PDA style interface, where I could write an unknown character, then have the dictionary magically tell me what it was.

③Why learn English? English is not only the most useful language in the world but also one of the easiest languages to learn and to use. And of course, if you want a good job, get out of the armchair and start learning English now! If you already have a good job, start learning before you lose it!

④The dictionary includes not only definitions, but plenty of usage examples and sentences. It contains great idiomatic and colloquial phrases, both for US and UK English -- in addition to the more "standardly" used meanings. Also, the word search history list makes it very easy to jump back to a word you looked up earlier, making it a very valuable study tool.

I personally think my electronic dictionary is the single best investment I've made in my own English.
