Analysis of Romeo And Juliet Romeo And Juliet , a tragedy play, which was set into film, had different versions in movies. As I watched one of versions in movie which was set in 1996 by Baz Luhrmann,I want to talk about this movie .The main actor was Leonardo DiCaprio and the actoress was Claire Danes. Baz Luhrmann adopted many modern elements into movie, for example clothing. In the beginning of movie, there were many modern cars and plans. Filled with these modern elements, one would not believe this story happened in old times. In my opinion, although it was set in modern times, its scene could be set close to the old times, if the movie eliminated some funny and unrealistic scene.On one hand, some scenes were too colorful and glitterful, especially in dance party. On the other hand ,some scene were as if in a dream, or delude one to folly

In clothing, most people wore modern clothes which were usually too colorful. But the main character’clothes were very suitable to their quality. The actress was in white dress, symbolizing purity and innocence. The actor in clothes had air of gentleman. Just owing to the different qualities, they attached to each other deeply. As far as I am concerned, I was into the background music when Juliet knew she would marry to the heart. Because the music was very light .

In language, this kind version of movie did not do a good job. It was a pity there were omitted some wonderful dialogues. To some degrees, it would lack of vigor and exciteness although the principle of movie was compress some minor plots.

When it comes to the main characters, I think Leonardo DiCaprio played Romeo lively. Leonardo DiCaprio is skillful at the performance. That action he opened the gun on enemy after his friend died performed very well. The scene could catch people’s eyes. To Claire Danes, I think she improved her performance and attracted by her personality.

In a word, this version was not bad as a whole. But it could be better if it improves in some aspects. What I have learned from this story is that there is true love in the world. What’s more, once we have sought true love, we should stick to it.
