Abstract

At present, the construction and planning of greenway network has gradually become an important part of urban and rural planning in China. More and more local governments are concerned about the construction of greenway. The economic development driven by the greenway is of great significance both at the macro level and in the micro level.

This study takes the surrounded-greenway of Qiandao Lake which located in Chunan , Zhejiang Province as the research object, constructed an analysis framework on basis of learning the greenway development experience of Qinghai Lake, Jurong city and Zengcheng city.

Based on the analysis framework and the actual situation the surrounded-greenway of Qiandao Lake, this study analyzes the greenway economy in Chunan from four aspects, which are the urban leisure tourism, rural eco-tourism, sports tourism round Qiandao Lake and the entire tourism economy. Based on the empirical research, the study finds that the greenway surrounded-greenway of Qiandao Lake greatly promoted the city of Chunan’s urban tourism economic development; The surrounded-greenway of Qiandao Lake led to the rapid development of rural ecotourism; The surrounded-greenway of Qiandao Lake greatly boosted the development of sports tourism economy in Chunan County; And the surrounded-greenway of Qiandao Lake promoted the entirely development of Chunan’s economy.

The study also pointed out that the development of the surrounded-greenway of Qiandao Lake still facing four major problems: the connotation of greenway economy is still out of understanding, the greenway industry (economic) potential is still under exploration, the tourism service alongside surrounded-greenway is not good enough and the management of surrounded-greenway still needs to be improved.

In this regard, this study proposes several suggestions to promote the development of surrounded-greenway economy of Qiandao Lake, including further understanding the connotation of greenway economy on basis of research and empirical study, exploring the potential market of greenway related industry, encouraging and fully absorbing the local villagers to participate in the greenway economy; branding greenway related tourism

products and strengthening the management and supervision of the order along the greenway. Hope the study of this paper can establishing a Greenway Economic Management Model with Qiandao Lake characteristics, so as to further realize the greenway construction to boost local economy development.
