P75 2009.5.30 Younger school children (aged between five and ten) should be required to study art and music in addition to math, science, history and language.

In order to broaden the horizon of younger school children, it is suggested that they should study art and music as well as other common courses. I agree with it because of the following reasons.

First of all, art and music can help students to relax. Campus life is stressful even for younger children who aged between five and ten, with all kinds of homework and assignments. However, by having music and art classes, students can get a much-needed escape from the heavy work. It can help them to relax their mind and study more efficient in other classes.

Second, music and art classes help improve students' personal relationships. Students will meet together to talk about a same topic if they have common interests. For example, students attending art classes can talk about the masterpiece or life story of a famous painter. Students having music classes will enjoy the beautiful melody or sing songs together. By communicating with each other, they will build a strong friendship and learn how to behave in various situations.

Third, music and art classes provide students with plenty of information about great artists and their works. By learning knowledge in artistic fields students can acquire different cultures from different country. The artists and musicians describe what they see or hear in their works, showing feelings meanwhile, which bring the students the atmosphere at that time.

To sum up, art and music classes should be taken by younger school students to broaden their horizon.(248w)

2010.10.9NA Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People can take care of their family members better when they live in big cities than in the countryside.

No matter where people live, in big cities or in the countryside, they must take care of their family members. Basically I prefer the former one. Living in big cities has more advantages than living in the countryside.

Firstly, for old people, Living in big cities can be convenient. There are a large number of hospitals which are available to all kinds of diseases. When the old people catch a cold, have a fever or even heart attack, they could be taken to the best hospital nearby and received treat in time and recover as soon as possible. But in the countryside, situations in hospitals are obvious terrible.

Secondly, children should receive good education, so living in big cities is a wise choice. Schools in big cities which get finance support from government provide sufficient teaching facilities for the

students in order that the students can study more easily and do more experiments. Moreover, the teaching levels of the teachers in big cities are higher on average than that of the teachers in the countryside.

Admittedly, Living in big cities may have a few downsides. For example, the air may be not as fresh as it in the countryside and the noise may make people crazy sometimes. However, government is taking measures to prevent the pollutions and people are also becoming aware of the importance of environmental protection. It is sure that the problems can be solved in the future.

In a word, people can take care of their family members much better when they live in big cities than in the countryside, because advanced society welfares are everywhere in big cities.

2009.2.27 A job with more vacation but a low salary is better than a job with a high salary but less vacation.

Nowadays, people always have difficulty in dealing with the relationship between vacation and salary. Some people may prefer high salary to more vacation, while others probably want more vacation than a high salary. In my opinion, a job with more vacation is better, so I agree with the statement.

First, more vacation means more opportunities to relax. People today live a much busier life than before, pursuing reputation, status and wealth, which makes them very tired. Why not stop doing this and get a job with more vacation and lead a relaxed life? People can gain more time to relax and find their own interest instead of spending all day long working in the office by taking such a job. Moreover, if you have a good rest in the vacation, you will work more efficiently.

Second, more vacation means more health. Being a workaholic may do a lot of harm to people's health. For example, staring at the computer screen all day will hurt your eyes. If you want to recover, you should have a vacation. Furthermore, people can spare more time to accompany their families and friends. By doing this, people may have a happy mood and be optimistic all the time.

Admittedly, a low salary is surely a downside. However, money is not everything. Whether you live a good life or not cannot depend on how much money you make. As long as you can live without cold and starvation, more money is unnecessary. People should not insist on seeking for money and there are what we should care most. A relaxed mind and a healthy body are much more important than wealth.

In conclusion, I consider a job with more vacation but a low salary better than one with a high salary but less vacation. The reasons above firmly support my opinion.

2010.8.21NA We should never be impolite to another person.

To be polite to other people is a good character of a person. Nevertheless, I disagree with the opinion that people should always be polite to any other people. Though in most cases, people should not be impolite, there must be some special situations that we needn't be polite.

Admittedly, being polite is necessary in most occasions. A student must say "hello" to the teachers, bow before the class and listen carefully during the class. An interviewee should behave modestly and does not say any rude words so that he will have a higher chance to be hired. These are both politeness, which are the symbols of your good education and high quality. However, to say that we should never be impolite to another person is an overstatement because exceptions do exist.

Firstly, consider the person who promotes some products that you really don't like or even something illegal. If he keeps on knocking your door for several times to persuade you to buy the products, can you be polite to him? Of course not! To person like him, you must not be polite and warn him that if he disturbs you again, you will call the police.

Secondly, consider the criminals. When we are trapped in a crime, it is ridiculous for us to be polite to criminals. Although you are a polite person in daily life, you can't consider your ceremony at the emergency. You should try your best to save the lives of the people in danger and help the police arrest them.

To sum up, to be polite to others isn't a bad thing for people, but it doesn't mean that we should be polite whenever. If we encounter someone who may do harm to us, we mustn't be polite to them. These are the reasons which support my opinion.

2007.8.4 Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Printed books will no longer exist.

With the development of technology, digital books are increasingly coming into use while printed book are less used in our lives. It has been argued that printed books will no longer exist in the future. I disagree although the statement has a grain of truth.

First of all, admittedly, digital books have some advantages over printed books. First, it is cheaper to download a digital version from the internet than to buy a hardcover printed book. You may download Harry Potter for only half the price of the paper version. Second, the digital book is very convenient for us to carry because it is much lighter than the printed book. We can

download thousands of articles into our mp4 or electronic book to read them everywhere instead of carrying several heavy books.

However, to say that printed books will disappear from our lives in the future is unacceptable. First, hardcover printed books are worth collecting. They are usually very valuable with their beautiful cover and plentiful content. Second, the printed books made by papers are good for people's eyes. If we stare at a digital book all the time, our eyes will be tired or even hurt. Reading for a long period may do enormous harm to people's health, especially to children. Third, printed books are of great importance in some special ceremonies. They are usually the symbols of holy things. It is ridiculous for a minister to read with a digital book in a church.

To sum up, although the digital books are more and more useful, it is sure that printed books will exist forever.(w267)

2010.6.19 Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? If you need to discuss upsetting or controversial problems with others, you should use e-mail or text message rather than use the telephone or voice-messaging.

There are always some upsetting or controversial problems we should discuss inevitably. Which way should we choose to deal with it, direct way or indirect way? I think indirect way better, so I agree with that we should use e-mail or text message rather than use the telephone or voice-messaging.

First of all, e-mail or text messages may help avoid embarrassment. Talking about something sad often make people embarrassed. For example, if a teacher tells his student directly that she does not pass the exam, she might be very sad or even cannot help bursting into tears. The teacher may be at a loss and doesn't know what to do. Therefore, he should tell her by e-mail or text messages in order to avoid the embarrassment like this.

Moreover, using e-mail and text messages may prevent the collision from happening. When discussing some controversial problems, people are easy to get angry with who hold an opposite view on the problem if they talk face to face or by telephone. Therefore, using e-mail or text messages is much better than telephone or voice-messaging. It will take long for people to calm down and think about the problem twice, then they will write details to explain the problem and discuss it with a tranquil mood and a wise mind, which make the issue much easier to solve.

Besides, there is another problem that if you quarrel with others on the telephone, it may cost a lot of time and money. So sending an e-mail is usually an economical way. It is another advantage over the direct way.

Based on the above reasons, I firmly hold my opinion that we should use e-mail or text messages rather than use the telephone or voice-messaging when discussing some upsetting or

controversial problems with others. (300w)

P15 2010.3.20NA Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People today can solve many important problems so they do not need help from the government.

With the development of society, people can do more things by themselves nowadays. But I disagree with the statement that people can solve many important problems, therefore the government does not need to help them. There are three reasons as follows:

Firstly, People today still cannot solve many important problems by themselves in fact, such as education, unemployment, war, starvation, poverty and so on. These are international problems all over the world, a single person or even a group of people may not have the abilities to solve them. For example, if a person wants to stop a war between two countries, even he is powerful or wealthy, he cannot prevent them from fighting with each other without the help of others.

Secondly, people today need more help from the government. As the life standards are getting a higher level, people have more requirement than before. They ask for all kinds of utilities in public for entertainment or exercise. They need various insurance to make their lives more comfortable. They also require more schools and hospitals to take care of the young people and patients.

Thirdly, whether the people today can solve many problems or not has nothing to do with whether they need the government's help. It is the responsibility of the government to help people. The government must give people help no matter how powerful they are.

In a word, the statement that people today do not need help from the government because they can solve many important problems is wrong. The reasons above can firmly support my idea. 260w

2010.9.25NA Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Young people in today are less dependent on their parents than in the past.

With the development of society in recent years, Young people become more and more independent on their family, while in the past they did rely on their parents. I agree with the statement for the following three reasons.

First of all, the development of technology at a surprising speed allows young people to live independently in the contemporary society. It is easy and convenient for them to use the advanced facilities to take care of themselves. For example, young children can learn to cook food with a microwave oven, just pressing the button. However, in the past times, people should cut

the branches of the trees and burn them to cook a meal, which young people couldn't do it by themselves.

Second, the information high way makes young people come up with more ideas about the society. Nowadays, computer and internet come into every home, and young people can get a large amount of information of all kinds through the internet, which make them come up with a lot of creative ideas. With these ideas, young people think deeper about the society and become more independent from their parents than whom in the past. They can deal with most problems and perform well.

Third, the financial support from the government and other social communities gives the young people economic independence. A robust welfare system has been set up in order to help people who need extra assistance. Now elementary and middle school students can receive education for free and there are a lot of scholarships for students offered by the government, companies or individuals. The financial support allows young people to live an independent life to some degree.

In a word, young people depended on their family in the past, but it has changed that they become less dependent on their parents nowadays because of the development of society. Word Count: 309

2010.10.31NA Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People are now easier to become educated than in the past.

Education is the foundation of a country. People today have a stronger concept of being educated than in the past. I agree with the statement that people gain an easier access to all kinds of educations at current times.

Firstly, there are much more schools available today than in the past. No matter where you live, in big cities or in the countryside, the local government spends a large amount of money on the constructions of various types of schools, such as primary schools, middle schools, high schools and even schools for adults. More and more universities and colleges have been built to ensure a higher education for top students. If you want to study in schools, you will always find a proper one to attend.

Secondly, the teaching approach diversifies. Except for blackboard and chalks, many advanced teaching devices are being used today in most schools, including computers, multiply media and some other instruments. Moreover, labs and libraries have also come into use for students to study deeper and wider. What is more, the teachers' teaching levels are greatly improved by communicating with other educators from all over the world. The technology becomes more developed than in the past, so it is easier now to study.

Thirdly, people have equal rights to receive education. As we all know, People in the past were in terrible discrimination because of their sex and race. For example, women and black people were used to be considered as people in lower classes or even slaves and weren't allowed to go to school. However, they have equal rights to study in schools nowadays.

To sum up, people do have an easier way to receive education now than in past times. These are my reasons to support my opinions.

10. 政府投资

2009.11.7NA For the successful development of a country, a government should spend more money on education of very young children (3-10 year old) than the education of universities.

Nowadays, in order to make the development of a country successful, education is being considered more and more vital. Both educations of young children aged 3 to 10 years old and of young adults in universities need the government's financial support. I disagree with the statement that a government should spend more money on children's education than on university students.

First of all, early education of young children is not more important than college education. We must admit that early education has a great influence on the children's whole life. It will play an important role when they are growing up. However, this does not mean that college education takes the second seat. Education of universities produces a large number of professionals for all kinds of fields, such as astronomy, architecture, management and politics, who can make great contributions to the development of the society.

The other reason I hold is that early education does not require more money than college education does. Primary schools need computers, balls, playgrounds and other teaching devices, but these may not cost as much as the devices in universities do. There are a lot of labs in universities, which need a large number of money to keep operating. Moreover, the libraries also require a large sum of money to buy new books and some advanced reading devices to ensure that the students can get the latest news. Furthermore, universities have the responsibility to give scholarships to poor students to help them complete their education. The professors in universities also need money to do researches and attending academic conferences.

In a word, early education should not get more money from government than college education. Compared to education of very young children, universities usually need more economic supplement to keep them operating well, which will make the country develop successfully. Word Count: 302

托福独立写作高分范文_4绝对词型

托福独立写作高分范文4 ● 绝对词型 185题库 Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents are the best https://www.360docs.net/doc/df8974287.html,e specific reasons and examples to support your answer. Obviously, in most cases the earliest teachers people have are their parents, and parents are generally most concerned about the development of their children. However, it is not completely true to say that parents are the best teachers. Parents may, nevertheless, help their children much more than do good teachers. Most parts of children education are virtually beyond teachers' reaches. It is parents that supplement. Psychology studies have shown us that parents' love sometimes has astonishingly magic power to their children. Forest Gump's mother is a good example. On the other hand, parents might do their children harm more than do bad teachers as well. The natures of those children whose parents have misbehaviors are often severely distorted. In reality, not all parents are good teachers. As normal individuals, some parents more or less have some bad habits. Even though parents almost instinctively devote themselves to cultivating their offspring, the outcome might turn out to be disappointment, for all children tend to unconsciously or subconsciously copy everything including bad ones from their parents. Another deficiency of parents as teachers is the fact that most parents are lack of common senses of education. All too often we observe some parents tend to pursue their cherished but failed dream by forcing their children to develop in a prearranged direction. Ironically, when their children do not follow the instructions, the children will be regarded as disobedient or allegedly rebellious. In fact, it is parents rather than their children that virtually disobey common senses. Moreover, some parents are qualified as good teachers, but not all of them are the best ones. When children are in the preliminary school, it is not surprising that parents are perhaps capable of teaching their children almost every subject even better than professional teachers in the school. But the situation will not last long. We live in a world where knowledge is accumulated by multiplying and at the same time becomes more and more specialized. Therefore, to be a professional in a certain field today takes much longer time than has ever been before. No parent is able to be professional in all fields, though they might be experts in one or more fields. Wise parents often release rather than charge their children as early as possible. They are aware of the possibility outside the family. In a word, it is rather superficial to simply say that parents are the best teachers.(403)

托福独立写作机经范文5篇

As the economy and technology develop at an incredible speed in today’s society, there are an increasing number of people believing that the most important problems affecting our society today could be solved within our lifetime. In my view, however, this is out of the question and the three most significant problems affecting the society, namely war, environmental destruction and disease, will still influence us and may not be entirely resolved forever. War is a problem afflicting humans since they took into being in the first place. Wars take place when different countries have conflicting benefits, which is unlikely to be eliminated as long as the boundaries between countries still exist. For instance, in the Middle East where water is extremely scarce, many countries are in conflict in contention for water resources. Since every country acts for the sake of its own benefit, it seems that people in the region are incapable of living together in harmony. Eternal world peace, therefore, is unlikely to be achieved in our lifetime. Environmental destruction emerged not long before but it is becoming increasingly severe and can not be ignored. With the large-scale utilization of fossil fuels and rapid development of industry, huge amounts of pollutants are being produced, contaminating the environment to a large degree. The disposal of these pollutants being a tough task, it is hardly possible that we can completely get rid of them within a short period of time. Furthermore, even if we can come up with optimal methods for dealing with these substances, there remains the problem that these methods may cost too much and obstruct the development of economy. Last but not least, the well-being of people around the world is threatened by a variety of diseases, ranging from AIDS to cancer, the cures for which have not been discovered yet. Diseases set off panics among humans, affect their normal life and leave people badly off with the high medical expenses. There are thousands of scientists devoting themselves to finding cure for diseases, but new types of diseases keep emerging and there is no eliminating all of them. In summary, the problems with the most significance today are going to be passed on to our offspring. To eliminate these problems thoroughly, there is still a long way to go.

托福独立写作六篇高分范文推荐写作题目

托福独立写作:六篇高分范文推荐 写作题目: Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People spend too much money on their pets even though there can be other good ways to spend money. Give details and examples to support your response. 人们花了太多的钱在宠物身上,而实际上有其他更好的消费方式,用细节和例子支撑你的观点。 写作范文 With the rise of the middle class, more and more people spend money on things that are not essential to their daily needs. As the average wealth of households has increased, many trends have emerged. One trend that has appeared recently in my neighborhood is the increase in the amount of money people spend on their pets, and for me this is definitely the truth. The reason why people spend too much money on their pets is because they believe their pets to be more than just animals. They assign to them many human characteristics. This does not mean that I do not like pets. I love pets. My father is a biologists and growing up our house was always filled with lots of strange and unique pets. Pets play a very important role in families and I think we should take care of animals. I love volunteering for the local animal shelter and helping find homes for stray pets. I like taking care of animals and I will be the first to help an animal in need. I do not, however, believe that we should treat pets like humans. My neighbors, on the other hand, have a different opinion. They love their dogs, but I think they are a rather extreme when it comes to taking care of their dogs. For example, their dogs have their own feather beds that cost 300 dollars each. I think tha t’s how much all of the furniture in my bedroom costs! My neighbors claim that their dogs have back problems and that the dogs need these beds. I am not sure the dogs realize this, because last time I visited my neighbors I saw that the dogs had ripped a bunch of holes in these beds. Maybe humans think these dog beds are more comfortable, but I highly doubt that dogs know the difference between a several hundred dollar mattress and a ten dollar mattress. Buying these kinds of luxury items for pets is very silly. Spending exorbitant amounts of money on one’s pet is not only pointless, but it’s also wasteful. It’s pointless because pets can’t determine the quality of an object. It’s wasteful, because there are so many better things on which to spend

Are our kids becoming lazier and less creative, less imaginable than before as a consequence of highlyadvanced technology? My answer is no, and just the opposite, technology has apparently assisted our kids tobecome more creative. First and foremost, technology has provided children with easy access to scientific and liberal art resourceswhich is their best source of inspiration. For example, children could now easily gain access to academic databasesthrough iPad screen, read classical works on Kindle, or watch historic documents on Internet. These great worksare essentially helpful to arousing their curiosity and prepares them with key knowledge necessary for any creation. However, these wonderful equipments and facilities are never as handy in the past, when kids could only reachlimited resources in public libraries or schools. In this sense, technology has provided the possibility for children tobe more creative. Second, technology has equipped children with professional apparatus which could finally realize theirimagination. This takes form particularly as computer softwares and applications, such as Photoshop for creativegraphic design, Overture for easily composing a piece of music, 3DMax for building up a virtual world, etc.. Allthe software were never as handy as they are at present, and this would absolutely provides our children aneffective tool for realizing their creativity. Third, technology itself is a market place where creative ideas are economically encouraged. Steve Jobsearned millions of dollars a year for his unparallel creation, and Mark Zuckberg gained his reputation for thegenius social network. Therefore, technology has provided children the internal motive to develop their creativity. However, it is undeniable that technology might make children become lazier and be comfortable with whatis already available because everything are so convenient nowadays and there seems to be no way to improve them.Children lost in

托福写作辅导:托福考试满分作文欣赏(1) Which one do you prefer, to solve problems on your own experience and knowledge, or to ask others for advice? As knowledge and experience serve as twim towers in problem-solving, one is often presented with two major paths that pave the way for final fulfillment, eitther to wrack his brain, just like what happened to Neuton, siiting for many years under an apple tree and eventually figuring out ond of the greatest universal rules that govern the whole globe, or to seek for others ’ widsom through their advice, just as in the case of Benjinin Franklin, gathering great minds under one roof and then establishing a most world-renown libray. Both ways work. When a practical goal is involved, however, Benjimin Franklin may best be regareded as a role model in this respect and asking people for advice often turn out to be the prime alternative. Experience and knowledge borrowed or learned from others’ advice contribute greatly to effectiveness and effeciency for a goal-accomplishment. Not all experience and knowledge related to problem-solving can be obtained by personal effort alone due to limitations of mind and capabilities of each individual. A single thought in someone’s mind is, more often than not, far less shining compared with group ’s wisdom. That explains the famous old saying that one sees further when standing upon the shoulders’ of past great giants; that explains why a great leader is always with greater minds; that also explains why teamwork in corperation is highly emphasized in the 21st century. Brainstorm and exchange of ideas between different thoughts never fail to enhance capabilities of each individula involved, a team, a company, an institution, a country, or even the entire global village. Asking others’ advice instead of getting everything done on one’s own promotes democracy and communication too. In terms of democracy, it is necessary to give others rights and chances to speak since the problem may concern them in different ways, and their saying in turn reflects our respect toward freedom of speech as well as their wisdom. In terms of communication, idea exchange sometimes focuses more than solutions, and hereby better mutual understanding about perspectives, principles, praticalities and personalities of each other. Admittely turning to others for help and suggestion by no means refers to absolute and irresponsible dependence. Consideration upon different thoughts and ideas broadens our mind, enlarges our vision, furthers understanding, enhances more effective and efficient brainstorm, and stresses mutual respect in groups and communities, which undoubtedly gives rise to better, if not the best solutions. As is paraphrasedfrom John F Kenedy, brainstormed, there is little we cannot do while divided, there is little we can do. 托福写作辅导:托福考试满分作文欣赏(2) Case of Benjinin Franklin, gathering great minds under one roof and then establishing a most world-renown libray. Governments should focus more on preservation of environment rather than economic development There has been much discussion revolving around whether governments should pay more attention to environmental preservation rather than economic development. As far as I’m concerned,it is a very urgent global trend to pay more attention to the environmental preservation. My reasons are as follows. First of all,now the world has become too crowded. We are using up our natural resources, and polluting our environment with dangerous chemicals. If we continue to do this, human life will not survive anymore! It is widely acknowledged that governments are playing the most important role in the environmental protection today. So in my opinion, the governments should come up with some measures to deal with environment destruction immediately for “sustainable development” instead of the economic development. Besides, the economic development depend on natural environment. If the forest has been cut down and the land has been destroyed,we cannot even live, let alone the economic development. What’s more, the environment destruction is often the price to pay for the increasing economy. But in fact, the aim of economic development is to let us enjoy a better life! Earth is the home we live, so we cannot destroy the environment just for economic development, which may make us cannot even live. A philosopher once said, only when the last tree has been cut down, only when the last river has been poisoned , only when the last fish has been caught, only then will you find that money cannot be eaten. Good environment?is the foundation of our existence ,so whatever we do mustn’t be the cost of destroying the environment ! All in all, I think the governments should attach more importance to environmental preservation rather than economic development and strive for long-term , sustainable and environmentally-friendly development.

One of the most significant changes is the issue of whom we young people depend on when making a decision. In the past, young people usually depended on their older family members, especially their parents. However, in contemporary society, we young adults tend to make choice on our own. Here are the reasons. Admittedly, in the past, the ways they acquired information, most of which come from experience, were limited. It was parents who are much more experienced than their children. In this case, they tended to listen to parents’ advice and let them to control determination. As we all know, over the several decades, parents made the decision for their children who they would marry with in China. At that time, girls had no chance to meet the young men with the same age. However, their parents had the permission to know their children’s future partners through various ways. Without doubt, it was a right choice to depend on their parents when making a decision in the past. However, we can get access to a great amount of information, which do good to decision making nowadays. Surfing on the internet, clicking on the mouse, news will display on your computer screen within seconds. What’s more, after educating, we have learnt knowledge in a systematic way, which enable us to understand ourselves and the world better. All of these create a good atmosphere for us young people to make decision on ourselves. According to a survey conducted by Peking University aiming to find out how students choose their majors, 80 percent of students depend on their own while less than 20% decided by their parents or teachers instead. Most students are independent nowadays. They would listen to their parents, but it is themselves who determine the final choice. Another important reason is that some of adults’ experience work less effectively on our generation because conditions change rapidly in the information age. In the past, it was less likely for youngsters to move out of their hometowns while we usually move from one place to another nowadays. So parents’ idea might not fit our situation any more. Consequently, we prefer to make a decision depend on our own experience. In sum, for the reasons I mentioned above, I totally agree that in contemporary society, we young adults are better able to make choice on our own. 以上是给大家整理的托福TPO45独立写作题目文本+满分范文,希望对你有所帮助!
