A. Making money is important for the youth to lead a decent life.

B. Making money is of importance for the youth to lead a decent life.

A. A country’s prosperity has much to do with its education.

B. A prosperous country has much to do with its education.

It is necessary/essential/important/significant/ vital/ crucial/critical/ momentous/paramount to develop education in a country.

A. The government decides to develop local economy by means ofthe policy to build more factories.

B. The government decides to develop local economy byadopting / applying/ using/ employing/ embracing the policy to build more factories.

A. Some people approve my standpoint.

B. Some people are in favor of my standpoint.

A. The man owned large amounts of fortune.

B. The man was in possession of large amounts of fortune.

A. As far as I am concerned, I do agree with this opinion.

B.To my way of thinking, I do agree with this opinion.

A. Some people are against this standpoint.

B. Some people are opposed to this standpoint.

It is universally acknowledged that…

It is widely recognized that…

It is unavoidable that…

It is an undeniable truth that…

例题:Improving schools is the most important factor for the successful development of a country

It is widely acknowledged that education has played a significant role in

a country’s prosperity.

2. There be 句型

There is no denying/no doubt that…

There has been divergence over…

There are couples of factors worth consideration..

Movies and television programs should present stories in which good people should be rewarded and bad people should be punished.

There is no denying that justice is always expected to be done in movies and television programs. However, should stories be presented in these programs in which there are good people rewarded and bad people punished? From my perspective, it is impossible to find out a common standard to decide goodness and evil. And certainly this issue needs a more comprehensive analysis.

What is not supposed to be neglected is that…

Whether…gives rise to a heated discussion among individuals and the society.

Money is the most important aspect in a job.

Whether money is the most important aspect in a job or not gives rise to

a heated discussion among individuals and the society.

4. When it comes to/refers to结构的使用

Competition between friends always has a negative effect on their friendship

When it comes to competition and friendship, usually people won’t believe that there is any positive correlation between them. However, I tend to agree that this issue needs a case-by-case analysis since in some circumstances competition does harm to friendship while sometimes the contrary is the case. A specific analysis is given as follows.

Given that….表原因

例题:In order to succeed, you should be more like others than be different from everyone else.

Given that people are more eager to succeed than ever, there is a divergence among individuals and the society about whether one who wants to succeed should be more like others than be different from everyone else.

Good communication skill is the most important characteristic for a person who wants to be successful.

Withthe economy blooming, whether or not good communication skill is the most important characteristic for a person who wants to be successful turns out to be a controversial issue.

Luckily, he didn't know my phone number; otherwise, he would bother me. Incredibly, Helena got straight A in her school report this semester. Interestingly, cats and dogs can hardly get along well in a house.

形容词that …” 。e.g: Obviously, he is nervous about the test. =It is obvious that he is nervous about the test. Unfortunately, he tripped over and fell in the mud. =It is unfortunate that he tripped over and fell in the mud. Hurriedly, the man drew me a scratch map to show me the direction. Dangerously, the drunkard sped down the street. Slowly and gently, snowflakes were drifting down from the sky. Geographically, Canada is the biggest country in the world. Financially, she is independent, but emotionally she is dependent. 2. Strangely enough, Jennifer does not enjoy sunshine and beach.

In a word, it is rather superficial to simply say that.........+观点:In a word, it is rather superficial to simply say that parents are the best teachers。

(1) Which one do you prefer, to solve problems on your own experience and knowledge, or to ask others for advice? As knowledge and experience serve as twim towers in problem-solving, one is often presented with two major paths that pave the way for final fulfillment, eitther to wrack his brain, just like what happened to Neuton, siiting for many years under an apple tree and eventually figuring out ond of the greatest universal rules that govern the whole globe, or to seek for others’ widsom through their advice, just as in the case of Benjinin Franklin, gathering great minds under one roof and then establishing a most world-renown libray. Both ways work. When a practical goal is involved, however, Benjimin Franklin may best be regareded as a role model in this respect and asking people for advice often turn out to be the prime alternative. Experience and knowledge borrowed or learned from others’ advice contribute greatly to effectiveness and effeciency for a goal-accomplishment. Not all experience and knowledge related to problem-solving can be obtained by personal effort alone due to limitations of mind and capabilities of each individual. A single thought in someone’s mind is, more often than not, far less shining compared with group’s wisdom. That explains the famous old saying that one sees further when standing upon the shoulders’ of past great giants; that explains why a great leader is always with greater minds; that also explains why teamwork in corperation is highly emphasized in the 21st century. Brainstorm and exchange of ideas between different thoughts never fail to enhance capabilities of each individula involved, a team, a company, an institution, a country, or even the entire global village. Asking others’ advice instead of getting everything done on one’s own promotes democracy and communication too. In terms of democracy, it is necessary to give others rights and chances to speak since the problem may concern them in different ways, and their saying in turn reflects our respect toward freedom of speech as well as their wisdom. In terms of communication, idea exchange sometimes focuses more than solutions, and hereby better mutual understanding about perspectives, principles, praticalities and personalities of each other. Admittely turning to others for help and suggestion by no means refers to absolute and irresponsible dependence. Consideration upon different thoughts and ideas broadens our mind, enlarges our vision, furthers understanding, enhances more effective and efficient brainstorm, and stresses mutual respect in groups and communities, which undoubtedly gives rise to better, if not the best solutions. As is paraphrased from John F Kenedy, brainstormed, there is little we cannot do while divided, there is little we can do. (2) Case of Benjinin Franklin, gathering great minds under one roof and then establishing a most world-renown libray. Prior to 1900, there were no famous entertainers in today’s sense. Fame was held for political officers. However, today, the people who appear before us either on a court, a stage, a field or a screen, are in fact more famous than many political officers. Many people listen to these famous people and act as if their word was gospel. However, I do not think this is correct behavior. Stars should be treated with respect, but their opinions should not count for any more than a regular person’s opinion. Becoming a star does not automatically
