No More Child Obesity

Recent years have witnessed a growing number of up to 12 million children in China getting more and more overweight.

When it comes to the obesity problem, the reasons are not far to seek. One of the primary factors that account for the problem is children's addiction to junk food, which adds too much fat and sugar to whoever takes it. Another factor to mention is children's lack of exercise in everyday life. To make matters worse, the fact that many children stay up late into night also contributes to the problem.

Personally I do believe it is of great importance to keep a balanced diet, which guarantees proper nutrition in our diet. What's more, a healthy lifestyle is the key to a happy life. After all, it is a healthy body and mind that really matters in promising us a bright future.

How to Be an Efficient Learner?

Being Senior Three students, we have a tight schedule and seem to have endless homework to do every day. Because of limited time, it’s important to be an efficient learner. But how can we become efficient learners?

Firstly, we should make a realistic agenda, which lists all we have to do and the deadline to cover.

Secondly, divide our spare time into several parts to make sure we go through all the subjects and try to be well-balanced students.

Thirdly, take regular exercise to refresh our mind and energy and make sure we are healthy enough to get round our lessons. Remember: All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

Besides, discussing with classmates about difficult problems to find best solutions can be of help. It’s also important to read extra books to ensure you feed on new ideas from time to time.

Should We Help Elderly?

Recently, many people witnessed cases where the elderly fell down on the roads but no one dared to help.Instead, they just stood nearby,talking nonsense.

Still, some people think it not their duty to help others.And even some fear it may do more harm than good to the elderly suffering serious diseases, if they lack proper first aid treatments.

School Bus Safety

Recently a series of severe school bus accidents came as a shock to everyone. The safety of the school bus has aroused great concern among people. A discussion has been held in our class about the causes and solutions. The results are as follows.

The accidents are mainly caused by overloading, speeding and weak safety awareness. Moreover, lack of supervision and poor quality school buses also lead to these tragedies.

As for the solutions, we think that the government should take overall responsibility to ensure the safety of the school bus. In the first place, quality, standard school buses should be provided throughout the country. Second, schools are required to examine the safety of school buses and stop risky vehicles from being operated. Third, public’s awareness about safety should be raised. During the past year, there have been several severe school bus accidents which

The publication of the draft regulations indicate that our government has realized how serious the situation is and that it is taking effective measures to ensure the safety of the school bus.

The draft regulations reflect a deep concern from our government as well as from the public about students’ lives.
