在进入初中阶段的英语学习过程中，很多同学都会面临这样的一个问题，那就是在基础部分的掌握上都还不错，不管是在单词短语的掌握，还是句子语法的学习掌握上，问题都不是特别大，但是提到作文写作就害怕，拿到一个作文话题就是不知道应该从哪里入手，所以每次考试在写作部分上丢分都十分严重。
作为英语来说，写作是英语考试中最难的题目，一般放在试卷的最后。但其实初中英语作文写作并不算太复杂，考试都是考的一些生活中比较常见的话题，最常考的话题也就那么几种类型，如果能够把握好，也就不成大问题了。
之所以很多同学之所不会写，是因为平时的训练不到位，除了平时的考试，很少会专门针对作文写作做一个系统的练习。
但其实初中作文的写作都是从“模仿”到“创作”的过程。也就是开始时模仿课文句子，这需要学生能够理解透课文和背诵课文句子。这个要求非常低，只要学生经过一段时间后就可以练好基本的模仿能力。然后再根据作文提莫的要求去写作。
而到了后期就是话题的把握和创作的过程，这个时候也同样可以借鉴一些优秀的作文范文作文参考，去学习他的写作结构，把一件实情陈述清楚，并写出自己的想法，一篇完整的作文也就出来了。
