二.教学对象:本校已通过北大大学英语四级考试或三级英语课程的各系本科生, 考试成绩优秀者(80分以上)。

三.教学时数:周学时2。

四.课程长度:一学期。

五.学分:2

六.教材与进度安排:本课程采用中国人民大学出版社教材《大学英语高级教程——阅读与写作》(第二版),本学期完成教材十个单元的教学量,其中七单元精讲每两周4课时完成一个读写单元),另外三单元略讲或指导阅读。

八.课程的目的与要求:

1.目的:本课程旨在培养学生英语阅读与写作能力,重点培养学生的英语思维能力及自学能力,满足学生在完成英语四级课程之后继续学习的要求。

2.要求:

1)学生上课前必须认真预习单元阅读部分(1-3小时量)。

2)上课时带阅读疑难问题,提问解决。上课时应积极参加课堂讨论。

3)本学期要求完成3篇作文,篇幅400-600字,交打印稿。

4)按照教师指导在课下部分互阅互评习作。

3.考试:考试主要评估学生的英语阅读与写作能力。平时成绩占总成绩的30%(课堂讨论,作文,考勤),期末为开卷考试,学生可带字典等一切工具书(笔记本电脑除外),独立

答卷。期末考试占总成绩的70%。

九.报名时通知学生买课本,并预习第一单元的课文。3月1日开课。

第一周:3月1日— 3月5日课程介绍,学习第一单元(College Pressures)课文部分。

第二周:3月8日—3月12日完成第一单元(College Pressures)课文部分,课堂讨论,布置第一次作文

第三周:3月15日—3月19日完成第一单元写作部分。学习第二单元(Education and Discipline)课文部分。

第四周:3月22日—3月26日收第一次作文,继续学习第二单元(Education and Discipline)课文,完成第二单元的Mimetic Writing 部分。

第五周:3月29日—4月2日学习第三单元(Workers)的课文部分。

第六周:4月5日—4月9日讲评第一次作文,完成第三单元作文部分并布置第二次作文。

第七周:4月12日—4月16日学习第四单元的课文部分(Reflection of An Elitist)。

第八周:4月19日—4月23日收第二次作文,继续讲解第四单元的课文,完成第四单元的作文部分。(23日周五全校运动会,停课一天)

第九周:4月26日—4月30日学习第五单元(The Family out of Favor)的课文部分。

第十周:5月3日— 5月7日继续学习第五单元(The Family out of Favor)的课文,讲评第二次作文。

第十一周:5月10日—5月14日完成第五单元的作文部分并布置第三次作文,学习第六单元(Friends, Good Friends—and Such Good Friends)的课文部分。

第十二周:5月17日—5月21日学习第七单元的课文(The Art of Loving)。

第十三周:5月24日—5月28日继续学习The Art of Loving. 完成第七单元的作文部分,收第三次作文。

第十四周:5月31日— 6月4日学习第十单元的课文(The Language of Oppression)

第十五周:6月7日— 6月11日继续学习第十单元的课文,讲解第三次作文。

第十六周:6月14日—6月18日完成补充课文的其它内容,讲解期末考试的题型与时间安排。

(注:清明节、劳动节、端午节安排待学校另行通知。)

期末考试时间由大学英语教研室统一安排。

对小学英语阅读和写作的几点看法 传统的阅读课上课模式一般为:单词讲解→课文翻译→语言点讲解→课文朗读→背诵段落,由词及句,由句及段,再到语篇。这种“自下而上”的传统阅读教学,只注意语言点及语言本身的结构,导致学生只看到树木看不到森林,根本无法培养学生理解和吸收书面信息的能力,不利于学生对于较长篇幅文章的整体理解,并且导致学生一看到长的、生词多的文章就望而却步,而提高运用语言的能力更无从谈起。三段式阅读提起来简单只有阅读前阶段、阅读中阶段、阅读后阶段三个阶段,但每个步骤所包含的内容却很多。 阅读前阶段就是准备工作,教师在授课前应该查找该文章的相关资料,让学生课前热身。同时不定时地利用多媒体技术让学生了解人物或事情的一些基本情节,在此基础上再让学生阅读所给内容时,则更容易与文章的某些观念产生共鸣,也更能够激发其阅读的兴趣。有了较好的课前导入学生就让学生对即将面对了文章有了一种期待。阅读中阶段要侧重学生阅读技巧和阅读策略的培养。让学生从整体上理解课文大意,找出主题句、关键词,使学生对文章的结构、内容有个大致的了解。一般小学教材的每篇Let’s read后面都有几个小问题,如果没有也可以由教师提前出在黑板上,让学生带着问题去读,围绕着问题在文中快速找出答案。问题可由易到难,也可以提出一些延伸性问题来开拓学生的视野,培养创造性思维。在此阶段教师一定要注意在教室里进行耐心地指导,尤其要帮助那些基础较差的学生。阅读后阶段是对所学文章的一个巩固,本节课效果如何取决于一个“练”
