2018年是北京中考改革的元年，从一开始是也备受家长、老师和考生的关注，截止到目前，北京新中考选课的数据还没有公布，不过窥一斑而知全豹，从2017-2018海淀期中考试各科参考人数可以看出2018北京中考生的选课比例。

2018海淀中考选考比例，物理选考的人数最多，占所有考生的86.9%，这一数据与以往中考物理为必考科目，并且高校普遍重视物理学科有关。值得关注的有两个数据，一是化学和生物的选考人数达到了近80%，这与此前预测有比较大的出入，因为北京中考选课的规定，选考化学的学生，必须同时选考物理，这也就意味着选考化学、生物的学生比其他考生要学习一门，学习压力较大。除此之外，历史和政治这两门学校的选考比例比较接近，也都比较低，基本上是在30%出头，这两个科目，初中阶段，更偏向于背诵，选考比例反而小，值得深思，但其实这也与传统的教育重理轻文有一定的关系。

北京中考改革后选考的组合

北京中考选课原则：物理与生物(化学)至少选考一门，可以两科都选;历史、政治、地理至少选考一门，至多选考两门。这样的选课安排，主要是为了文理均衡，确保文科和理科都必须得选考一门。
