You may find you have trouble with separating home and work life, and sometimes you will be interrupted by domestic duties. Besides, working at home makes one feel isolated. As far as I am concerned, one should weigh carefully the advantages and disadvantages and find out which is more suitable for him or her before making a decision.

In recent years, studying abroad has been popular in our country. More and more students would like to go abroad through mediators. Is it good or bad to study abroad? People can make rapid progress in their foreign language study and it can also help widen their field of vision. Meanwhile, young students can learn advanced science and technology from foreign countries and spread cultures of different nations.

On the other hand, it has disadvantages. For example, because of the lack of living experience and poor capability to take care of themselves, they may feel lonely and homesick. In addition, high living expenses and tuition fees will become a heavy burden upon their parents.

So I think whether studying abroad or not should be decided according to oneself and one's family. It is not right to follow others.

One-child Family

Most of the Chinese people think that a family with one child is better than those with more children. For one thing, many people will try their best to achieve career success and have little time to care about their children; for another, if they only raise one child they can afford better education for the child.

But there are also some negative views about the one-child family. They think it is better to have a big family. Everyone in the family can help each other when they have difficulties. What is more, the more children they have, the better life they will live when they grow old.

In my opinion, it's enough for a family to have one child. Nowadays population expansion is one of the most serious problems in the world. Population expansion contributes to a series of problems: shortage of natural resources and food supply, crowded cities and high rate of unemployment. Some day the earth will be too crowded for people to live in.

Early working experience can be invaluable as the preparation for future.

Personally, I think this question should be probed（探究）in depth. From what has been discussed above, we can see clearly that the key lies in whether the student is able to strike a successful balance between work and study.

In addition, traffic accidents occur with alarming frequency, resulting in heavy losses in both property and lives. In my opinion, the number of private cars should be put under control. And at the same time, buses should have their own special routes which cannot be used by other vehicles. Besides, underground trains and city trains should be developed quickly.

There are various ways for city residents to go out—they can go out by using the public transportation system, for example, buses, taxies, the subway, etc. They can go out by riding bikes. They can drive if they have their own cars.

However, it is not worthwhile to drive to a place that is not too far away. Personally speaking, I prefer walking because I can get some exercise and have a good look of the world around me, as long as the destination is within walking distance.

When choosing the ways of going out, I think people should take the factor of protecting the environment into consideration and avoid using cars as far as possible.

10.Mass Media in Modern Life

Mass media are very important tools of communication, through which information is passed to even the farthest end of the world. They enable us to communicate with each other by helping us to overcome the barriers of time and space.

On the other hand, mass media give us entertainment. Television and radio broadcasting provide us with a big variety of programs every day. Films, books, magazines, etc. give us daily amusement.

As far as I am concerned, mass media will be all the more important in the future and their functions will be enormously expanded. We should take advantage of mass media to get the information we need as well as the entertainment we enjoy.

Some parents think that it is necessary and sometimes important for students to do some housework. Housework is a kind of physical exercise necessary for mental development. Other parents, however, think that it is study that is of extreme importance to students. Priority should first and foremost be given to study both at school and at home. Hence students should be exempt from any tedious and time-consuming housework.

I think students should share some housework with their parents. The reasons are as follows. First, doing some housework can enable the students to have some sense of responsibility. There is a lot of housework in each family. As a member of the family, each one should do his or her share. Since a student is a member of the family, undoubtedly, he is of no exception. In the second place, doing some housework can give the student opportunities to get to know his parents better. By doing housework, a student will know how hard it is for his parents to go to work everyday while raising a family. He will make even greater efforts in his study later on. Finally, doing some housework can give the student a chance to do some physical exercises. Since the student has to sit studying most of the time, this is certainly beneficial to his health. 12. Second, western festivals are heavily targeted by businessmen, who view the as good opportunities to make money. So they desperately try to boost the atmosphere of foreign festivals.

In my opinion, our traditional festivals play crucial roles in Chinese traditional culture. However, their foreign counterparts are exerting strong influence on people's values and thoughts. There is no doubt that we should give our priority to Chinese traditional festivals.
