1.Is love the most important element in a marriage?

A: Hi***long time no see. What are you doing these days? Dating with your girl friend?

B: You are half right,actually I spend most of my time on my paper,you know,my tutor is strict with us.

A: Ok,ok.you are always so busy.

B: But when it comes to love,I need some suggestions sepecilly from a girl,could you help me?

A: About what?

B: Do you think lovers must stay together day and night.

A: O h,that’s can not be true.But for a girl she may rely more on love.when she feels sad、lonely or painful,she always hopes you can stand her side to comfort 、protect and love her.that”s also important.

B: Then what do you think is the most important element in a mrriage,material,love or something else?

A: um,maybe a feel,that is the mutual love.

B: Yeah,I am in favor of your opinion.But I find a strange phenomena that there are more and more marriges end in divorce. While in the past,once two people get married they would probably be lifelong partner, though they were not acquainted with each other from the start.

A: I think that is because love and marriage is very traditional in China. People who donot know each other let alone matual love, get married.scientifically speaking, this cannot promise the happy life even after.because love is so important in marriage.that is marriage cannot live without mutual love,but love can live without marriage.in other countries, the lover can live together without marrying. B：Yeah, in our modern society,free love is advocated just as it should be.But in traditional China,a girl don’t even have the choice of the man she is to marry.It’s too ridiculous!

A：At that time, young men and women rarely have the opportunity to exchange. so

love in marriage is so important,am I right?

B：I can’t agree more.I think love is the base of marrige,without love, marriage has no meaning.

A: Yes,love is a complex emotion.we will study all our life,and I have a feeling that it’s really hard to find a good spouse.

B:Wow,that is very nice!I want to go home to accompany my family.At home,I can enjoy pleasant meals cooked by my mom,I really like green food.

B:organic food,oh,oh! I heard about it before,but to tell the truth I don’t know what exactly it is!

A:Well, let me tell you something about it.As far as I am concerned,Organic food are food that is produced using methods of organic farming –that do not involve modern synthetic inputs such as synthetic pesticides and chemical fertilizers.

A:Actually ,I search the internet a few days ago and find that evidence on substantial differences between organic food and conventional food.And I found the evidence is insufficient to make claims that which is safer 、healthier or tastes better..

5.What’s your attitude towards the two values--- individualism and collectivism?

A:Hello*** long time no see,what are you doing these days ?

B:Sorts of things,you know,they can never be done .

A:Is everybody in you research group running around like you?you ought provide flooded play to the spirit of team.

B:Not yet.In fact,a doctor in our lab is in charge of the project,but I do think collectivisim is very important just as team spirit,you know,one can never finish a big project alone. So,what’s your understanding of collectivism and individualism? A:Well,in my view,collectivism means we cooperate in a team,we try our best to show our talent to achieve a common goal or an objective.And individualism means somebody puts his own benefits among high priority. sometimes in order to reach his own goal , they would do some harmful issues.

B:Yeah,I agree with your understanding of collectivism,but as to individualism,I think it tends to mean freedom ,independence and individual ability.

A:Can you give me a detail example.

B:Let me take American for example,just as we learned in the textbook, compared with Japanese,American are individual,they have their own lifestyles and emphasis more on personal ability. But Japanese have obvious collective values.

A:Yeah,I also heard that sometimes in order to reach the common objective ,Japanese often sacrifice their own benefits.when we are face up to the important issue,if someone stick to his own value and don't want to hear others' views,that's what we called individualism,we will probably make things a mess,that's my opinion,

B:Yes ,I also think we should be more collective when working ,but in our dairy life,indivilism also deserves respect.

7.What’s the place you want to travel most?

A:Hello*** long time no see,what are you doing these days ?

A:Come on,just leave that things aside.let us talk about something interesting. You see, the summer holiday is coming.do you have a plan for it.

B:Yes,my tutor asks me to stay in the lab for one month,but I will spare enough time to travel.

B: Chengdu,you know, it’s a beautiful city in SiChuan province.

A:Chengdu? I hear that thousands of years ago, a king of the ancient Shu Kingdom(蜀国) established his capital in the center of Sichuan plain and named it Chengdu. Nowadays, Chengdu is the capital of Sichuan Province.

B:You are right.Now Chengdu is one of the most popular cities for tourism in China ,and there are so many places of interest, including world heritages(世界遗产).

A: It sounds great!Could you tell me about it in detail ?

B:Let me take Jiuzhai Valley（九寨沟）for example.It has been voted as one of the most beautiful places in China.And autumn is the best season for tourists to visit the colorful mountains .

A:But I think the most beautiful place is Emei Mountain（峨眉山）.It is one of the four famous mountains in China.

B: Emei Mountain? I hear that it is blessed with a sea of clouds（云海）.

A:Yes.But the most famous scenery is the Buddha Rays(佛光).

B:Oh, that sounds magical !

A:Sure.But the most magical place may be the Leshan Giant Buddha (乐山大佛). It is located on the cliff in the Lingyun Mountain (凌云山). Besides,I konw that the other wonder in Chengdu is Dujiangyan(都江堰). Have you heard of it?

B:Of couse! It was built by Libing, a famous expert in irrigation, more than 2,000 years ago.

A:You are right.The project has the functions of irrigation, flood prevention and tourism.

B:It sounds that you also want to visit Chengdu,will we go there together?

A:That’s great!

2.What do you think will happen in the fourth millennium?

A:I am fine,too.What are you doing these days,busy with your article?

B:You are half right.In fact,I was atracted by science fiction film,such as Knowing(先知).

A: You mean the film in which Nicolas Cage act as the leading role? I heard about it before.

B:Right! Nicolas Cage is my hero.In this movie, our earth was destroyed in the end Fortunately,many children from all over the world are helped by kind aliens and sent to a new place to restart their civilization.

A:Oh,that’s terrible!But I don’t think this situation will happen in the foreseeable future,So, What do you think will happen in the fourth millennium?

B:what”s I think is conrtrary to the movie, in my opinion the world will become very harmonious and beautiful with highly developed science and technology.we may settle to the space not because the big disaster but exploring of the unknown fields. We may use spacecraft instead of cars,ship,aircraft and we can go anywhere we want to go.that”s can not imagine! So how about your opinion?

A:From my point of view,with the development of science and technology,we will live a more intelligent life without any doubt. Perhaps,there will be much less population but more roberts helping us do kinds of work then.But I am not sure whether these roberts will be under the control of human all the time.You know,once given high but immomal inteligence by some bad guys,roberts will have their own thoughts and there exists the possibility that they get rid of our control. If so,we human may be replaced by roberts.

B:Oh,I don’t dare to imagine that.I hope that situation won’t happen.

A:Don’t worry,we won’t have the chance to witness that age.

B:Yeah, we can not live that long.

4.What’s (are) the most important thing(s) you got from CSU

A: Hi***long time no see! How are you?

A:I am fine,too.I heard that you graduate from Hunan Institute of Science and Technology last year,have you been adapted to the life of CSU now?

B:Yes,my classmates and teachers I countered are also very nice and I am pleased with this kind of life here.By the way, what are the most important things you got from Central South University?I know you have been in this university for 5years. A:Well,to tell the truth,I got much from CSU. The most important thing I have learnt is independence not only in life but also in thinking. This kind of skill benefit me a lot in life and made me successful in my study.What’s more,I made a lot of friends during these years,and many of them are still studing here.Besides, I want to mention that I learnt how to get along with people around me,Ithink this is very important especially after we enter a company,then we have to communicate with kinds of people.So,actually CSU witnessed my growth.

B:Wow,I really envy you,for you have learnt and experienced so much in this excellent university.

A:Don’t envy me,I dare to say that you will learn what you need soon.Have’t you got something from CSU since you have been here for one year?

B:Of course! What impressed me most here is the learning atmosphere.I always saw many students walking into the library,even after the first class at night.If not going to the library early enough, I probably can not find a desk to start my study. You know,this scene could hardly be seen in Changsha University of Science and Technology.What’s more,I also made some friends here.They are friendly and helped me a lot.

6.What’s your opinion about death penalty（死刑）?

A: Hi***long time no see! How are you?

B:Fine,thank you,and you?

A:I am fine,https://www.360docs.net/doc/9e6768528.html,st night,I read a bbs about death penalty.Many webbers were arguing whether death penalty should be abolished or not,and it seems that the problem of keeping or abolishing death penalty has not reached an agreement .Then what’s your opinion?

B:Well,as far as I am concerned,death penalty has been with us for thousands of years,which was used widely in the past and is still excuted today.I think death penalty is a hundred-percent wrong.

A:What’s your reasons?

B:Firstly, many people think that death penalty is racist. According to a survey, over three quarters of those prisoners who are in the death row are non-white. The second reason for abolishing the death penalty is that it is not a deterrent to violent crime and what’s more,it breathes the essential intention of the justice system directly.

A:Yes,I agreee with most of your opinions and with the development of our civilization, I do think death penalty will be abolished in the long term.But I don’t think now is the right time to abolish death penalty in our country.

B:Why do you think so?

A:You know, our society is very complicated, it is easy to appear some serious crimes. Those crimes are not forgiven. In order to keep the society stable, the government has to publish those people by death penalty.

B: If severe punishment can prevent crime,then long imprisonment is stern enough to deter the rational man to break the laws. Don’t you think so?

A:Let’s imagine a person kills people on purpose, he does not receive death penalty,

but other punishment, like life imprisonment. Does anybody think that life imprisonment is a waste of resource? So,I think death penalty cannot be replaced by other punishment unless our society becomes harmonious enough.

B:It sounds resonable!But our opinions don’t conflict,right?

A:Yes.
