如今的英语听力考试,除了听,还要加上说,而且还是“人机对话”。从明年开始,衢州市中考生将迎来一项全新的考试项目——英语听说能力测试,也就是英语中考听力测试将采用人机对话的方式进行。

9月27日,衢州市教育考试院将组织全市初三学生进行首次英语听说能力人机对话模拟测试。英语人机对话到底考什么?怎么考?目前对初中生来说最大的挑战是什么?9月11日,记者来到衢州市区一所初中探营,全程参观了学生的人机对话测试练习,并采访专业人士,收集了一些“干货”,和同学及家长们分享。

考试分为四个部分:模仿朗读、信息辨析、回答问题、信息转述

9月11日傍晚,衢州市第四实验学校计算机语音机房内,初三(5)班的同学们正准备进行自己的人机对话测试练习。记者看到,每一张桌子有两台计算机,每一台计算机机位间都有专门的隔板隔开,减轻考试时同学间的干扰。工作人员告诉记者,真正考试时,每个考场25名考生,每个考生一张桌子,相对来说干扰将更小。

往年,英语考试听力分值为25分,明年起改为人机对话测试后,分值将调整为30分。

测试练习开始,英语老师从监考计算机的系统中发出考试信号,所有学生机都进入考试状态。

首先跳出的是试音。考生收音和录音试音完毕后,才正式进入人机对话考试。

考试分为四个部分,模仿朗读、信息辨析、回答问题和信息转述。其中模仿朗读让学生跟读一段短文,信息辨析、回答问题和以往听力考试中的题型很像,都是从对话中获取信息并回答问题,只是从书面选择题变为口头回答。最难的要属信息转述题,分为两节小题,一题是根据听到的内容,转述对话,在系统给出的一段话中填入空白处的单词,并将这段话转述一遍,这不仅考验考生的信息获取能力,还考验不同语境运用英语的能力。另一小节题目是两道翻译题,系统给出两句中文,考生即时用英文翻译并说出口。

考试时,系统分发了AB两套试卷,同学们练习的试卷都不相同,结束时间有几秒钟的差异,不过都在18分钟左右。

考验学生综合运用能力避免“哑巴英语”现象

“最难的就是信息转述题,最后两道翻译题,不仅考词汇,还要考验学生的语法,现在看来学生比较容易错。”衢州市第四实验学校英语老师左菁告诉记者,“总的来说,以前英语听力‘哑巴英语’能拿高分的情况已经不存在了。”

学生项妤欣说,目前还算能适应人机对话测试,不过要想拿高分,还需要多听多看英文长对话,并练习即时转述语篇,来提高自己信息转述的能力和反应。

“纵观现在英语听说能力测试的整个流程,你会发现最大的变化是增加了对学生说的能力考查,这是对学生的英语口语提出了新的要求。”衢州市初中英语教研员蒋国补向记者介绍,在人机对话的考题设置中,模仿朗读测试学生英语口语的语音、语调、断句等能力,后面几题不仅考查学生的语音语调,还考查策略能力,看学生是否能运用学习策略有效地提取信息。另外还有语篇能力和根据不同语境运用语言的能力,是对学生语言综合运用能力的考查。

“考试只是一种评价方式,评价方式的改革,关键是为了引导教学,引导学生从小就重视听说训练。”蒋国补表示,一直以来,中国学生都存在“哑巴英语”的情况,考试评价方式的转变,会进一步影响课堂,老师

也会在课堂上要重视学生的听说训练,从而提升学生的英语表达能力。“尤其在农村学校,目前城乡学生在英语对话能力上还是有差距,但随着教育信息化的发展,农村孩子练习口语也有多种多样的信息化渠道,加上老师们在课堂上的重视,有望对整体听说能力有很大的提升。”

专家建议:平时要“经常听、开口读、大胆说”

首次实行人机对话测试,不少学生十分忐忑,对此专家们表示,同学们平时在家也可以通过人机对话训练系统强化训练。

记者了解到,衢州市英语中考人机对话测试届时将采用统一的系统。目前,全市大部分初中都在学校机房中安装了该系统,学生可以多到学校机房中训练。据提供该系统技术支持的海云天科技衢州负责人赖红建介绍,他们还提供了手机客户端及电脑客户端服务给学生及家长,平时在家里可以用手机或电脑练习。

“学习英语语境很重要,小学英语基础好不好,也会直接影响到初中的提升。”左菁表示,这样的训练其实课堂上也有,因此学生们要格外珍惜课堂的时间,特别是说的机会,积极大胆地发言,在循序渐进中提升口语能力。

此外,英语老师还建议学生们要记得“经常听、开口读、大胆说”,听听不同性别、不同年龄、不同音质的英语;模仿读的习惯,养成说句子、说作文的习惯;课堂上积极参与模拟真实情境的英语问答,可以提高考试时对问答题的适应能力等,这些方式方法对学生而言都是不错的。

蒋国补表示,希望通过考试方式的改变,引导启蒙阶段的孩子正确学习英语,激发孩子对英语的兴趣远比单纯学会了多少单词来得重要,对低学段的孩子,家长们可以从看英语绘本、英语童话剧、做英语小游戏等入手。
