Watermelon Ice-cream
You will need:
Watermelon,
1 spoon of sugar,
1/3 cup of lemon juice,
rum, food blender,
ice-cream maker, dessert bowls, toppings
1. Cut up watermelon;
2. Puree(搅成泥) the watermelon in the food blender;
3. Cook the puree with sugar;
4. Mix together the lemon juice, the rum, the sugar and watermelon.
5. Put in the fridge until it is cold.
6. Freeze the watermelon mixture in the ice- cream maker.
7. Enjoy it.
Banana Pudding
You will need:
Water, 2 cups of milk,
1/3 spoon of sugar,
cornstarch, 3 eggs,
salt, 4 bananas,
bread or cookies, cream
1. Mix togeth er the milk, sugar, cornstarch, egg yolks, and the salt;
2. Place the bowl in the water. Cook until the mixture is thick, about 10 minutes.
3. Cut up the bananas, and then put them on a plate. Pour the hot pudding mixture over the bananas and cover the bananas well.
4. Cover the pudding with plastic wrap and then place it in the fridge, at least 1 hour.
5. Eat with cookies and cream.

On the eve of the Spring Festival, family members get together and have big meals. Their favorite dish on this day is dumplings.
Days before the Spring Festival, families will clean their homes. People think cleaning sweeps aw ay bad luck. It makes the house ready for good luck.
The colour red is everywhere during the Spring Festival. People think red is a happy color and will bring them a bright future. People wear red, too. They decorate(装饰) their homes with pieces of red paper. Kids get lots of hong bao. It is a red bag with money in it. Usually, older people give younger ones hong bao. They think it brings good luck.
The Spring Festival is the time to make everybody happy. So don't say bad words or do anything that will bring unhappiness to other people.
