Thank you for your listening.

Invite your friends and be a part of the Failte Club VIP Experience! Your Failte Club ticket includes 2 complimentary beverages (beer, wine, soda, water), an incredible view of the Miller Lite stage from the Upper Deck…”

根据本段第二句“For your own protection, tickets should only be purchased at Milwaukee Irish Fest ticket booths, https://www.360docs.net/doc/f93370790.html, or the Milwaukee Irish Fest Center in Wauwatosa .” 所以本句“as the tickets may be counterfeit”中的counterfeit意为“false”,故B项正确。

答案:1.A; 2.A; 3.C; 4.C

根据倒数第二段第二句“I have been the consumer reporter of NBC’s show for over a decade.”

Tm also tightfisted when it comes to shoes, clothes for my children, and expensive restaurants. when it comes to“当谈到,当涉及”,为固定结构,to是介词,后面需要跟名词或动名词。

Tu was honored for developing artemisin (青蒿素),a drug for malaria that has saved millions of lives across the globe...

She was calm and said she has received lots of congratulatory calls可知,尽管获得了诺贝尔奖,她还是以平常心对待,故选C项。

world-farmland cover”以及画线句子中的“hard work...has paid off”可推断Sir Albert Howard在

根据优点中第二点的uses half energy、第四点的environmentally friendly 和does no harm to human’s health可知a、c、e三项都是有机农业胜于传统农业的地方,故选C。

根据末段的“Organic agriculture is surely better in the long term.”

答案:increasingly; as; transported/ would transport; unpleasant; remains; unacceptable; which; but; awareness; recycling

句意:Dumps,现在被称作landfills(垃圾填筑地)。

be eager to do sth渴望做某事,故eager后加to。

be afraid to do害怕做某事,所以that为多余,删掉。

而第五处则主要考查be afraid to do 这一短语。

答案:

One possible version:

Dear fellow students,

Recently I have found many of us students spend too much time sending short messages or playing games on cell phones, which has negative effects on our studies and also does harm to our eyes. Worse still, we have little time to communicate with our parents and friends. Nor do we have time for physical exercise.

What shall we do to improve the situation? All of us should be fully aware of the harmful effects of frequent use of cell phones. To begin with, let's limit our time of playing with cell phones and start other hobbies. What's more, we should spend more time playing sports, which is beneficial to us. Besides, communicating with our friends is also a good choice to help us relax and get rid of the addiction. I hope that my suggestions will be of help to you.

Let’s put down our cell phones and focus on what is happening around us !

Let's take action now!

That’s all. Thank y ou for your listening.

用if,unless,before,after,until,although,though,as,since,because,so,so that 等构成含状语从句的复合句(这里要注意区分一下复杂句和复合句,复合句是包含在复杂句这个概念里面的,在下文的基础写作部分有提到)。 (3)用who,which,that,when,where,why等构成含定语从句的复合句。

The Internet has become part of young people’s life. ____1____ report shows that 38% of students often use the Internet .
