二、词语辨析
1. when 和While
While his mom was making sure the flashlights and radio were working.
1) 连词while的意思是“当……的时候；和……同时”，从句的动词多用延续性动词，
While he was do his homework, Marry came in.
2）还可以表示“而；然而；但”之意，用来说明和强调两种事情或情形不同。
e.g. Tom is active and outgoing while his sister Rosa is shy and quiet. 汤姆活跃外向，而他的妹妹罗莎却害羞腼腆。
When 当。。。时候，引导的从句的谓语动词既可延续性动词又可非延续性动词When he was in national team, he played defense当他在国家队时，他打后卫。When Marry bought a drink, Tom was playing the piano.当Marry买饮料的时候，Tom正在弹钢琴。.
2. either,too,also
either 用于否定句常置于句末，其前加逗号
too用于肯定句常置于句末，其前加逗号；如果作为插入语置于句中，则其前后都加逗号
also 用于肯定句置于连系动词be,助动词或情态动词之后，行为动词之前。Eg:I doesn’t like hamburgers.He doesn’t like hamburgers,either.我不喜欢汉堡包，他也不喜欢。
You like English and I like English ,too.你喜欢英语，我也喜欢。
He can also play basketball.他也会打篮球
3.beat 和win
beat后接比赛中的对手敌人;win后接比赛，奖品，名誉，财产等
Eg:Our team beat their team by 5:4.我们队以5：4战胜了他们队。
Mary won first place in the game.玛丽在比赛中赢得第一名。
4.truth和reality
truth指人或事实而言；reality指某事物的确存在
Eg:This is an eternal truth.这是个永恒的真理。
The realities of war were cruel.战争的现实是残酷的。
5.fall asleep和be asleep
fall asleep强调入睡的动作；be asleep强调睡着的状态
Eg:The baby was so tired that he fell asleep quickly.这个婴儿是如此累以至于他很快就入睡了。
The baby is asleep.婴儿睡着了。
三、重点语法：过去进行时
1、用法：表示过去某一时刻或某一段时间正在进行的动作。
2、结构：was/were+动词-ing
3、句式：肯定结构：was/were +动词-ing
否定结构：was/were +not +动词-ing
一般疑问句：was/were +主语+动词-ing
肯定回答：Yes, 主语+was/were.
否定回答：No, 主语+was/weren’t.
4、常用于过去进行时的时间状语：at that time yesterday, at this time yesterday,
at 5 yesterday, when 引导的时间状语从句，while 引导的时间状语从句等。
