1.自我介绍

Good morning/afternoon professors. I am very glad to be here to make a self-introduction. And thank you for giving me such an opportunity. 才My name is Ccy, graduated from Inner Mongolia University and got a bachelor’s degree with the major of biotechnology. I am open-minded and optimistic. I have a wide range of interests, such as, reading and watching football match in my spare time. My favorite football team is Barcelona. As far as I am concerned, I majored in biotechnology and tried to know much about it , so I still want to further my study in this field for my master’s degree. However, I still have many shortcomings. I think my Understanding of the scientific research is not deep enough, which I hope to improve in my postgraduate period.

2.毕业后做过啥

After graduated from University, I have worked for some jobs，as a teacher and then an ordinary staff. But I think at present, I can do many things only in a superficial level, not be competent to do things professionally owing to a lack of ample knowledge and ability. In my heart and soul, I think further study is still urgent for me to realize my self-value. The major that I hope to pursue for my further education is microbiology. Therefore, I plan to concentrate on study and research in this field in my postgraduate time. And I hope I can form a systematic view of this field and make a solid foundation for future profession after three years’ study here.

3. Could you please say something about your family？

思路：这道题目中心词是family，所以你可以围绕关于你家庭的一切人物和事件去进行描述。学生可以通过who，what，where，when的简单思路。主要可以包含A.家里几口人（只要讲小家庭就好,一般都是一家三口） B.家庭成员的工作内容（化繁为简，不一定说得特别细致，大致的职位用比较熟悉简单的词语讲出来就可以）C.平常一家人喜欢去哪里玩，一起做什么。最好以积极得一面去展现家人之间的友善和爱意，稍加改动真实情况完全是可以的。

范例如下（仅供基础薄弱者参考）：

4、Why do you choose our university？

思路：这道题目是一个发散性思维的题目，主要讲到选择学校的原因，那么当然从学校的软件，硬件，自身原因以及外部原因去全面思考这个问题。比如硬件会想到学校的设施，软件会想到师资和历史；内部原因可能是出于喜爱，外部原因可能是因为学校名声和学习氛围。每一点提到就好，不一定需要扩展开来说，但是原因与原因之间不能连接地太僵硬，不能像是背书。以下原因点供大家参考：

5. How much do you know about your school？

思路：这道题目考察大家对大学的了解，其实你对大学的了解可以不用那么的细致，但是，至少有一些历史背景，学校硬件设施，软件设施这块，可以稍微做一个总结。其实大家不难发现，这道题目和昨天的“你为什么选择你的大学”其实非常类似，大家要有融会贯通的回答问题的能力。只是考察点没有昨天的细致，不是从个人主观角度出发。所以大家可以对问题4简单进行修改总结。

6、 Do you think you are a qualified postgraduate student？

思路：你认为你是一个合格的研究生吗？回归本质，这道题目考察的是你有哪些性格优势和学习能力。导师一定都喜欢勤奋，努力，随和，机灵的学生，这样在日后的学习当中，你才能帮助并分担他完成很多任务。那么我们不妨就把自己的性格特征往上面靠拢。

Well I think I do.（首先要肯定自己）

First, my score of the written exam is not bad, which means I have good language proficiency, sound logic ability, and required intelligence, which are important requirements of a postgraduate.（都是一些比较好的个人品质，大家都可以套用）

Second, I have many achievements in my past study.（学术成绩，有特别的学术成绩可以讲）

Third, my learning ability is good, which means I won’t be exhausted in my coming study.（学习能力优异）

7.Do you have a full study plan for your postgraduate period？

你有对于你研究生详细的学习计划吗？

思路：首先这道题目不可以回答没有学习计划。就算有的同学没有学习计划，也不要在导师面前表现出来没有计划的样子。所以首先要先肯定这个问题。但是也不需要把计划罗列得特别详细，大概能够讲到几步。简单来说，三部曲：复习巩固，练习加强，工作实践。大家在回答问题的时候一定要先把自己的中文逻辑梳理清楚。参考答案如下：

Well I think I have, though it’s not as detailed as my daily timetable.

I guess my master’s study will fall into 3 steps.（首先肯定导师自己有规划，并且讲出具体有几步）

For the first couple of months, I will basically focus on textbooks. I mean I will try my best to review my past courses, like reading, listening, translating and alike. Through the first step, I expect to lay a solid theoretical foundation for my further learning.（第一步：复习巩固）

During the second step, I will find chances to put my knowledge into full play. There are actually a lot of ways to do it, like forum, simulation, internship and etc. By doing these, I expect to have some hands-on experience of how these theories can be best used in real world.(第二步：练习加强)

As to the last step, I will try to position myself in the working world by what I have learnt. （第三部：工作实践）

8、what’s your favorite book？

你最喜欢的书籍是什么？

思路：首先大家一定要选择一本有意义的书籍去描述。但是也不要太为难自己，写一本自己很难描述或者内容不熟悉的书籍。首先，不管读什么书籍，都会给我们人生带来很多有意义的方面。所以大家可以先把读书的意义说一下。接着大家可以确定自己喜欢的书籍是哪个方面的，一般分为魔幻小说，文学名著，鸡汤励志等。大家可以选择自己最熟悉的一种类型，然后参考下面的例子去描写。当然因为每个人对于书籍喜欢的原因各不相同，如果描写有问题的可以找自己的老师求助。

最后列出两个完整的例子，分别是描写《红楼梦》和《哈利波特》，供大家参考。如果实在是不知道的怎么写或者实在没有时间写的学生，基础薄弱一点的可以选《哈利波特》的范文直接背，基础好的同学可以直接选《红楼梦》的范文直接背，但是最好是自己原创。

Books are the stairs that lead us to success. As a student, we have studied for so many years. During these years, we studied Chinese, English, science and so on. 9. How do you think about the major？

思路：首先要表达对本专业很喜欢，讲一下该专业的影响和意义，可以表明也曾经阅读过很多参考文献，了解了一些专业性知识。其次，有一些专业性知识还是还没有系统学习，所以还需要在研究生阶段好好历练并用于实践中。可以表述出你对本专业的浓厚兴趣以及你的学习想法和目标。最后可以表达在本专业的学习过程中，还有很长的路要走，会继续努力。

Every major has its own values of existence and can foster numerous talents for the development of our country. I am interested in ________(专业方向) very much. It is one of the hottest and most indispensible majors of higher education，so the competition of this interview is surely fierce.

定稿，明天Day7完成三个问题的朗读与背诵。

13. What is your greatest strength and weakness? (你最突出的优缺点是什么?)

思路：这是你"展示自己"的最佳机会，首先各位同学不要吹嘘自己或过于自负，但要让考官知道你相信自己，你知道自己的优点。同时你也不应该说你没有任何弱点，以此来回避这个问题;每个人都有弱点。最佳策略是承认你的弱点，但同时表明你在予以改进，并有克服弱点的计划。建议学生在选择优点的时候主要选择一些导师比较看重的品质，比

如坚持不懈，勤奋好学。缺点找一些无关学术品性的缺点，比如由于年轻经验不足，或者学习技能有待提高。

As a Chinese ancient saying goes,“No one is perfect.”Everyone has both merits and demerits, and I am no exception. I feel that my strongest asset is my ability to stick to things to get them done. I feel a real sense of accomplishment when I finish a job and it turns out just as I'd planned. I've set some high goals for myself. For example, I want to graduate with highest distinction. However, I still have some shortcomings. But as to my biggest weakness, I think…because I am young, I am a girl/boy that is often on a short fuse in daily life. Fortunately, I have realized it was a damaging disadvantage, and I am trying my best to get rid of it.

14、如何看待英语在研究生学习中的重要性的？

思路：首先如果你是英语专业，那么这个问题就很容易被问到，因为属于你英语专业的范畴。如果你是非英语专业的学生，但是你的导师有留学经历，也有可能被问到，因为很多先进的理论技术都是来自于西方发达国家，英语的重要性也就不言而喻了。从现实找工作的角度来判断，有一项英语技能也能让你在找工作时脱颖而出，并且直接与你的薪资水平挂钩。

There is no doubt that English is very important in my master’s study.

To begin with, almost all of the modern theories came and are coming from the developed English speaking countries. If we better master this language, we will not only feel easier to learn the knowledge, but will also much more deeply understand them.

Secondly, students with good English will be more likely to find better jobs with higher salary after graduation. As we know, most of the top international companies usually have high requirements of English proficiency.

15. How do you handle rejection?

思路：首先每个人都有被拒绝的可能，这也算是一道压力题。当被问到这个问题的时候，大家不用太担心，并不是考官想要拒你千里之外，在回答这道问题的时候要有一个良好的心态。是否能具有够积极面对失败，积极乐观向上的心态，才是教授更加在意的部分。同学们也可以加上一些名言警句来升华自己的讲说部分。

As I heard before that “Rejection is a tool of the God.”, everybody even the

God has suffered from rejection. In my opinion, it may be another way of praise. I would be optimistic to face rejection. If I am rejected by others, I will regard it as a way of stimulation, because I may not do very well in this field. I am an optimistic guy, just like what I mentioned in my self-introduction. Also, I grow with a popular saying “Failure teaches success. ” I am really thankful to those who rejected me before, which makes me grow into a strong man to meet upcoming challenges.

16. How would you evaluate me as an interviewer?

思路：这也是一个压力面试题目，大家一定不要紧张。如果你对老师本身的研究成果本身有比较深刻的了解的话，你可以具体讲出来。如果没有太多的研究和了解，你就可以讲一讲老师的面试时候的一些比如英语发音，题目的设置的精妙之处，当然不能一味地为了夸赞而，如果老师的英文发音不是特别好的话，你要是夸他native，他一定会很生气。当然恭维的话语还是一定要说的。比如老师的专业能力的专业性，一定要提到。

Oh my god! This is a question that really brings me great pressure, aha! But sincerely speaking, you are a qualified interviewer. You speak English just like a native speaker, and you also raised some meaningful and challenging questions. You always make yourself seem calm and serious, which is an indispensible way to be overwhelming. As an interviewer, it is very important for him or her to select the outstanding students. All that you did has made you a professional interviewer.
