Good morning, everyone. Today, I’m very glad to stand here and share some of my teaching ideas with you. First, let me introduce myself. My name is Rao L uke, and I’m an English teacher from Gushi Dongmiao School.

My topic today is taken from Topic 2 of Unit 5 in Student Book of Grade 9. Topic 2 is “He is really the pride of China”, and the content I choose is secti on A of it. I have decided to say the lesson from five parts:

Part one– Analysis of the Teaching Material 说教材

One: Status and Function 地位和作用

1. The main content of this topic are the introductions of some famous historic

people and Four Great Inventions. This lesson mainly talks about Confucius and Qin Shihuang. Both of them make important contributions to the development of our country. This lesson will inspire students to be more interested in historic people and events. And it can also let students learn good spirit from historic people.

2. Section A is very important in this topic. In this lesson, I will teach the

attributive clause with who. This grammar will help students learn the rest of this topic.

3. When teaching them, I will encourage them to discuss the sayings of

Confucius that they know. It can be helpful to raise students’learning interests and improve their speaking ability.

Two: Teaching Aims 教学目标

The teaching aim’s basis is established according to Junior High School English syllabus ’prevision.

1. Knowledge objects 知识目标

(1) To study the phrases “in the field of, in the year of …good manners”

etc.

(2) To learn the attributive clause (with who).

2. Ability objects 能力目标

(1) To develop the students’ abilities of listening, speaking, re ading and

writing.

(2) To train the students’ ability of working in pairs.

(3) To developing the students’ abilities of communication by learning

the useful structures.

3. Moral objects 情感目标

(1) Make students be interested in study by using different teaching

methods.

(2) Love to know more knowledge about historic people and dare to

express their opinions in English.

Three:Teaching Keys and Difficult points 教学重点和难点

The teaching keys and difficult points’ are established according to Section A in the teaching material’s position and function.

1. Key points

(1) Improve the students’ four skills.

(2) Master some phrases of describing time, and some sayings of

Confucius.

2. Difficult points

(1) Enable to u se some phrases of Confucius’ sayings.

(2) Be able to use attributive clause.

Part Two—The Teaching Methods 教学方法

1. Communicative teaching method;

2. Tasked-based teaching method;

3.

Classified teaching method.

As we all know, the main instructional aims of learning English in the middle school is to cultivate students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English. So in this lesson I’ll mainly use communicative teaching method, task-based teaching method and classified teaching method. That is to say, I’ll let the students get a better understanding of the key structure. I’ll give the students some tasks and arrange some kinds of activities, liking talking, listening to the tape and imitating the dialog.

In a word, I want to make the students the real masters in class while the teacher himself acts as a director. I also hope to combine the language structures with the language functions and let the students receive some moral education while learning the English language.

Part Three—Students and Studying ways 学生和学习方法

The students of my class have a poor basic in English, and have little interest in learning English. So I will use the following two ways:

1. Teaching the students how to be successful language learners.

2. Make situation and provide meaningful duty, encourage the students to

study the text by themselves.

Part four—Teaching steps 教学步骤

Step1. Review and Lead-in 复习和引入

Use brainstorm to review the words in last lesson. Then divide the students into several groups. Every group has two students. Each group will get a piece of paper with two sayings (one is in Chinese and the other one is in English). Let students translate the sayings into Chinese or English.

Purpose of my designing: Reviewing the words can make students have no difficulty in understanding the new text. The translation will make students think of Confucius. And then, we can begin our new lesson.

Step2. Presentation 呈现

1. Listen to 1a, and complete the table of 1b.

Purpose of my designing: This step is employed to make the students get the general idea of the text.

2. Listen to 1a and read after the tape, explain the attributive clause

Purpose of my designing: let students have a chance to practise their listening and speaking ability, and master the attributive clause.

3. Choose the sayings of Confucius from the dialog

Purpose of my designing: Remember the sayings in English, the use them in their daily life. This will make the lesson more interesting.

Step3. Consolidation 巩固

1. Listen to 1a and imitate the dialog.

2. Retell the dialog.

Purpose of my designing: Practise the speaking ability and help students master the new text better.

Step4. Practice 练习

1. Group work. Read the sentences in 2, and then arrange them in right order.

2. Discuss in group and find out the difficult sentences. Teacher explains

them.

3. Retell the lifetime of Confucius.

4. Listen to tape, and finish 4b.

5. Listen again, and discuss the questions of 4a.

Purpose of my designing: This step mainly practises the students’ reading, listening and speaking ability.

Step5. Project 综合活动

1. Talk with the students’ partners about their favorite historic people, and

then make a card including the name, dynasty and reason of loving. Purpose of my designing:Develop the students’ interest in historic people, and make them active in the class.

2. Homework

Join the sentences with that/who o form attributive clauses.

Purpose of my designing: Consolidate the knowledge of attributive clause.

Part Five—Blackboard Designing 板书设计

Purpose of my designing: Presents the text key content clearly on the blackboard, favors the students to knowledge grasping.

九年级英语说课稿 韩秋燕 我上的课是九年级英语第29课,整个说课我将分三部分进行讲述,即教材分析、教学环节的设计、教学程序。 一、教材分析 (一)教材的地位和作用: 第29课围绕本单元的中心话题----健康问题,对学生进行教育,不仅在本单元占据主导地位也是训练学生口语表达能力的良好素材。根据新课标对学生交际能力的培养尤其对学生口语及阅读能力的要求不断提高,我将本课设计为一堂口语阅读课。 (二)教学目标的确立和依据 1、知识目标:熟练掌握重点单词及句型。 2、能力目标:有效提高阅读速度,能自如表达本课重点话题,能灵活运用所学知识并展开丰富地想象力流畅地表达其他相关内容。 3、情感目标: 使学生深刻地认识到健康的重要性。 二、教学环节的设计 学生具有无限的潜力,需要教师适时、适当地引导。本节课中我尤其侧重训练学生通过合作探索来获取知识的过程,并注重改变学生以往的学习方式,通过设计有效问题激发学生的兴趣使他们始终处于主动寻求知识去学习而不是被动地接受知识的状态。我充分放手让学生发挥其主体地位使其真正成为课堂的主人。 三、.教学程序

1、课前复习。 2、导入新课。先让学生自行讨论可以避免受教师的想法所局限没有自己的见解。学生合作精神的培养尤为重要,学生通过这一环节既能够有自主学习的机会,锻炼了与他人的合作,并在探索中有其个性思维发散的空间。 3、听力训练。听两遍录音,了解课文大意。 4、阅读。 5、重点词句讲解。 6、最后一个环节是作业。当学生探讨完这些问题后,我会问他们,面对这种现状,我们能做些什么呢?如何保持健康?以此为题写一篇作文。我布置这项作业的依据是新课标的要求。新课标指出:写作需有明确的动机和积极的态度,写作的题目应结合学生的实际需要,是他们具有写作的愿望这样他们才能了与写作才能重返自己的思维能力,而不是为了应付教师而做的作业。 当然,在具体的教学过程中,仍有许多问题存在。如:对学生学习的积极性的调动不够,课堂上学生的表现不够活跃。知识点的讲解还有不够清楚的地方,要在以后的教学中多努力。
