1. Introduction

Jane Austen (16 December 1775 - 18 July 1817) was an English novelist whose realism , biting social commentary and masterful use of free indirect speech , burlesque and irony have earned her a place as one of the most widely read and most beloved writers in English literature.

Austen lived her entire life as part of a small and close-knit family located on the lower fringes of English gentry . She was educated primary by her father and older brothers as well as through her own reading . The steadfast support of her family was critical to Austen is development as a professional writer . Austin's artistic apprenticeship lasted from her teenage year un til she was about thirty-five years old . During this period , she wrote three major novels and began a fourth . From 1811 until 1815 , with the release of Sense and Sensibility (1811) , Pride and Prejudice (1813) , Mansfield Park (1814) and Emma (1815) , she achieved success as a published writer , She wrote two additional novels , and began third , which was eventually titled Sanditon , but diet before completing it .

Austen is works critique the novels of sensibility of the second half of the eighteenth century and are part of the transition to nineteenth century realism . Austin is plots ,though fundamentally comic , highlight the dependence of women on marriage to secure social standing and economic security . Like those of Samuel Johnson ,one of the strongest influence on her writing ,her works are concerned with moral issues .

During her lifetime , Austen is works brought her litter fame and only a few positive reviews . Through the mid-nineteenth century , her novels were admired only by a literary elite . However , the publication of her nephew's A Memoir of Jane Austen in 1869 introduced her life and works to a wider public .By the 1940s , Austen was firmly ensconced in academia as a "great English writer", and the second half of the twentieth century saw a proliferation of Austen scholarship that explored many aspects of her novels : artistic , ideological , and historical .In popular culture , a Janeite fan culture has developed , centered on Austen is life , her works , and the various film and television adaptations of them .

Austen is masterpiece has "Sense and Sensibility" (1811) , "Price and Prejudice" (1813) , "Mansfield Park" (1815) and so on , which "Price and Prejudice" is the most popular . "Price and Prejudice" tells a story of Mrs. Bennet who has five daughters and her life event is to allow her daughter to marry to a good home . Someday ,near the manor a wealthy young man just moved into , Mrs. Bennet mobilized her daughters to take the initiative to pursue . But the second daughter ,Elizabeth who is ge stong-minded woman

despite her mother's opposition , she refused to marry to the pastor who is good at flattery in spite of he would inherit her home industry , but were initially get along with Darcy who is a very arrogant young gentleman at first time from friction to eliminate , they get married in the end .

2. views in Pride and Prejudice

2.1 Elizabeth : Beauty and wisdom coexist

Elizabeth is one of the most cute female roles in the history of English literature , even the author Austin herself has ever say " I admit , she was the most beloved characters appear in the literature ,anyone who did not like her ,I do not answer (Zhu,1997:12)." We could conclude ,Elizabeth ,who has the precious qualities that we can only find a kind of from a woman , she is beautiful , smart , lively and considerate . She is not like her sister Jane just blindly submissive , believe everyone in the world is a good man ; not like Charlotte who is sophistication ; not like the two sisters Katie and Lydia who have no mind ; not like Bentley sisters who are arrogant , defiant . Author multiple some female characters in her wok , but Elizabeth , is the best . When we read the book , we will like the NO. 1 female character at the first time , while full of curiosity to want know her would have what behaviors and manners in the last . After reading all of the book ,readers will like her more and more . Although , Elizabeth is sister is the most beautiful woman in appearance ,people like Elizabeth more still . It can be said , author let her become a woman who has both beauty and wisdom , although she misunderstood Darcy for the first impression at the setting of the plot , then she read the letter by Darcy , she distinguish the authenticity is right or wrong with her own wisdom and a pair of sharp eyes , therefore she have the opportunity to reacquainted with Darcy and fall in love with him in the end . Author has also described the eyes with lots of words , Darcy starred to love Elizabeth just for the eyes , he tells us his love to Elizabeth is built on her wisdom , love her intelligence and character not just beauty . In author is heart , the character Elizabeth is the ideal Austen , we can see that Elizabeth is the tool to express what is the really perfect female who should be a combination of beauty and wisdom by author .

2.2 Darcy and Elizabeth : the truly perfect husband and wife

Not only the Elizabeth can be called the most classic woman in the history of English literature , but also the hero and heroine of Darcy and Elizabeth on literary works can be called the perfect couple in the British literature , even in the world literature . Darcy is gentle , handsome while Elizabeth is lively , intelligent and lovely . Not only in the appearance or character ,they are very matched , more importantly , they marriage is based on mutual trust appreciation and true love , it is absolutely different from Lydia and Charlotte Corinth . This also reflects the view of Austin for marriage : marriage is possible

when based on lust and money , it is necessary to establish love if you want truly happy marriage . The creation novels by Jane Austen all have the same theme of marriage and family , but she has never married . The ideal marriage of her own is often reflected in her works , and the combination of Elizabeth and Darcy is a way to let's characters to achieve her unfulfilled dreams in reality . Austin shows us her ideal marriage world with her unique visual angle of women , marriage is the most important event in women' lives , Austin show us the women' world in that era by interpretation the marriage and she believes that women should have own attitude towards the marital problems .

2.3 the difference of era

Pride and Prejudice was written in the half of the 19th century , it has nearly two hundred years from today . It can be said that women is social status have been greatly improved in two hundred years , women are no longer the role of dependent on man to survive . Not only do women have the right to inherit parent is property , but also they have the social positions even the right to be national leaders . Austin lived in the era of " British society goes from an early capitalism into capitalist industrialization transition , we can imagine that the status of women is so low under such an old feudal strictly controls and the emerging bourgeois forces is far from being developed are still in the areas . As the main body of the society , male has an absolute right to rule than female , fundamental inequalities between men and women ." (Han, 2007: 58) At that time , Austin has a sense of progress thinkings that can be found in many women , she has self-awareness and fighting spirit that can be said very advanced . Elizabeth , who still has a lot of good qualities that modern women can learn , she is intelligent is the based quality that women need to learn . If Elizabeth is a woman who had lived in the twenty-one century , I believe she could be a very good woman in the workplace , not just a housewife . This is the sadness of our times .

2.4 Women is Literature

Relative to male writers ,woman often has a keen insight on the perception of subtle changes in life . They poeticizes romanticism fabulous into the scenes of the daily life , highlighting the image of the family and women ,describe the situation of women and society under the female is perspective ,create a large number of literary woks . In these works , both have serious moralizing and British humor .

3. Conclusion

It can be summed up : "Price and Prejudice" show a world which centered on Elizabeth for us . In the book , the author reflects the pursuit ideal of herself in one hand , in the other hand she explains the understanding of the ideal marriage . Through the perspective of today , we can still find the idea of the height and depth of writhing which is full of value .

Many critics believe that Shakespeare's greatest tragedies represent the peak of his art. The titular hero of one of Shakespeare's most famous tragedies, Hamlet, has probably been discussed more than any other Shakespearean character, especially for his famous soliloquy which begins "To be or not to be; that is the question". Hamlet was based on the legend of Amleth, preserved by 13th-century chronicler Saxo Grammaticus in his Gesta Danorum as subsequently retold by 16th-century scholar Fran?ois de Belleforest. The play vividly portrays both true and feigned madness –from overwhelming grief to seething rage – and explores themes of treachery, revenge, incest, and moral corruption. 2. The Main Ideas of Hamlet The story is set on the eve of Elsinore. Denmark court in the Middle Ages. Hamlet, the prince of the Denmark, is the leading role.
