浅谈如何提高中学生英语学习兴趣

作为一门语言,英语的学习不同于汉语。汉语是我们的母语,有广阔的环境,学生每天都生活在这个大环境中。英语则没有这些优势,特别是农村学生,几乎是从零开始。在这种情况下,培养学生学习英语的兴趣就显得尤为重要了。学习兴趣是学习积极性中很现实、很活跃的心理成分,它在学习活动中起着十分重要的作用。一、兴趣问题不容忽视

我国著名的教育家孔子说过:“知之者不如好知者,好之者不如乐之者。”兴趣是最好的老师,也是使学生能持之以恒地学习的催化剂,没有兴趣就没有求知欲。心理学上提到,所谓兴趣,是人们在认识过程中产生的具有倾向性的一种心理现象。兴趣的基础在于需要,对需要的满足就是成功,这种满足又会产生新的需要,即产生新的兴趣。对于学生来说,这种兴趣就是学习的积极性,学习的动力。这就是求知欲。歌德说:“哪里没有兴趣,哪里就没有记忆。”而英语语言习惯的形成和交际能力的培养,都离不开记忆。因此,英语教学中能否激发学生的兴趣,提高学生的记忆效果,无疑是教学成败的关键。

二、如何激发学生学习兴趣

1.建立民主和谐的师生关系。学生对学科的情感常取决于对任课教师的喜好,正所谓“亲其师,信其道”。假若教师一味以严厉的姿态出现,凡事批评当先,往往会使教育效果适得其反,久而久之,

学生对任课教师的畏惧也引发到对其所教课程的厌恶,更不要说有学习兴趣了。因此,课堂上教师应尽可能地用抑扬顿挫、风趣幽默、充满诱因或悬念的语言,并配以丰富的表情、手势来组织课堂教学。教师还要以积极的态度和发展的眼光去看待学生,尊重学生,关心学生,赏识学生,利用策略性的评价,再辅以教师真诚的语言、亲切的语调、和蔼的表情、宽容的态度来调控评价过程,让每个学生都能有成功的体验。尤其是面对那些胆小、基础差的学生时,更不要吝啬亲切的微笑和鼓励性的语言。只要学生能勇敢地站起来回答问题,教师都要予以表扬。活泼多样、层次分明的评价手段不但活跃了课堂气氛,还培养了学生学习英语的良好习惯,更使每个学生都获得了点滴成功,体验到成功的快乐,坚定学好英语的自信心。

2.营造良好的英语学习氛围。学生学习英语缺乏英语语言环境,这就要求教师尽量用英语进行组织和教学,给学生营造浓厚的英语语言学习氛围。经过日积月累,学生基本听得懂简单的课堂用语,增强了学习英语的信心,觉得听说英语并不难,为培养英语语感打下了坚实的基础。

3.帮助学生掌握正确的学习方法。古语说,“工欲善其事,必先利其器。”要想学习好,必须学会学习的方法,具备学习的能力。学习方法得当,学习事半功倍,学生会越学越爱学,信心会越来越强。反之,方法不对头,学习事倍功半,甚至徒劳无功,学生会越学越厌学,甚至丧失信心。因此,教师在教学过程中必须关心学生

的学习情况,及时帮助学生掌握正确的学习方法,巩固学生的学习成果,从而保持他们学习英语的热情。除此之外,具体到某个学生的学习方法,要充分考虑学生的年龄特征和个体差异进行,帮助学生找到和逐渐掌握适合自己的学习方法,避免一味“抄袭”好学生的方法。通过运用适合自身的科学的学习方法,使学生的学习成绩不断地取得较大的进步,进而提高他们对学习英语的热情,形成良性循环。如,不少学生听力水平不尽如人意,教师可以告诉他们,拿到听力材料后,要在录音播放之前尽可能地把各个小题都详细看一遍,做到心中有数。听的过程中可以整句听整句理解,也可以抓住关键词,有时间可以速记下来,可以写的不规范,只要自己认得就行。如果有的地方没听懂或没听见,千万别停下来或焦躁不安,要心平气和地往后听,待听完后再综合考虑。

4.寓教于乐的课堂教学。要做到这一点,采取直观教学是行之有效的方法。这种方法不仅使英语教学过程更生动、形象,而且更能加深理解,强化记忆,同时还能训练学生的听、说能力,培养学生的交际能力。具体方法有:

a.利用实物。在教单词、句型的过程中,把新单词跟实物联系起来,一定能使学生的兴趣大增。

b.创设情景。如果我们把书本上面的内容搬到生活中来,以学生为中心,采取动作表演等手段进行情景教学,既可使课堂生动活泼,又可以培养学生在实情实景中的交际应对能力,不断培养和提高学

生的学习兴趣。另外,有许多课文还可以改成小短剧,在复习课文时,让学生充当角色,上台表演。

c.利用简笔画。简笔画是最简单、最实用,也是极有趣的一种教学工具。无论是引出新单词,提出新句型,复习旧句型,还是讲解课文都可以运用简笔画。简笔画可使课文中抽象的知识具体化、形象化,且容易吸引学生的注意力。在师生一同分析、讨论简笔画的进程中,教学内容自然呈现,可得到意想不到的效果。

d.课堂小游戏。课堂小游戏是使学生轻松而乐于参与教学的又一种妙法。通过这种游戏,不但使学生的知识得以巩固,更能在大范围内调动学生学习的积极性,感受到学习英语的乐趣。

5.丰富多彩的课外活动。开展丰富多彩的课外活动,不仅有利于学生增长知识、开阔视野,更重要的是能激发学生的学习兴趣。课外活动的形式灵活多样,学生可以根据自己的兴趣爱好,有选择地学习和锻炼。只要老师多动脑筋,或者启发学生开动脑筋,编出一些实用有趣的游戏是很有意义的。此外,开展英语竞赛,举行英语晚会、英语诗朗诵、英语演讲比赛,开辟英语角,出英语墙报等,都是英语课外活动的很好形式。

培养中学生对英语学习的兴趣 [作者:佚名来源:本站原创点击数:842 更新时间:2009-4-16 文章录入:hczzxwzp ] 【字体:】 培养中学生对英语学习的兴趣 作者:何才凤单位:黄草中学 英语是初中阶段学生必学的三门主课之一,这就体现了英语教育的突出地位。有的学生对英语充满着浓厚的兴趣,学习积极性高,而有的学生对英语却无丝毫的兴趣,学习很被动,如何培养学生对英语学习的兴趣,调动其学习热情和主动性,已成为英语教师关注的一个重要课题。 一、让学生明确英语学习的重要性和必要性,提高学习积极性和主动性。 英语是当今世界上最重要的国际通用语言,也是使用最广泛的语言。英国、美国、加拿大、澳大利亚、新西兰等国家的人都讲英语,世界上还有很多国家把英语作为官方语言或第二语言使用。 英语的使用范围广泛,在国际政治、军事、经济、科技、文化贸易、交通运输等领域,英语是一个重要的交际工具,随着我国对外开放的不断扩大化,科学技术的不断进步,国际地位的不断提高,迫切需要造就一大批精通英语的专门人才,以加快我国“四化”进程,使我国在国际事务中发挥更大更积极的作用。 随着改革开放和旅游业的深入发展,来华旅游的外国人越来越多,他们需要与普通的中国人进行接触和交流,各行各业的普通老百姓从实践中已经认识到这一点,他们学习英语的积极性空前高涨。 随着世界进入信息社会和网络世界的出现,网上的信息极其丰富和详细,但网上70%的信息是英语,如英语水平高,就能在最短的时间找到合适资料,享受高科技带给我们的乐趣。英语也是谋生所需技能之一。在竞争激烈的外企,能说一口流利的英语,会比其他人有优势,更何况学英语也能开拓视野,丰富知识和心灵。 总之,学好英语是日常生活的需要,个人发展的需要,时代发展的需要,我国经济建设和社会发展的需要。 二、尊重学生,宽容学生,建立融洽的师生关系,消除学生英语学习的心理障碍,增强学生的学习欲望,提高学习兴趣。 教师与学生之间必须互相尊重。学生和大人一样,都有自尊心。教师只有尊重学生,让学生感受到师生间的关系是平等的,才能赢得学生对自己的信任和尊重。现在的学生不同于以前的学生,他们的思维活跃,见多识广,个性显明,对民主思想也有比较深入的了解。教师不能再用传统的教学模式居高临下,要讲究科学的教育方法,平等施教,否则很难走进学生心灵深处。在英语教学中,教师应走近学生并想方设法地和他们搞好关系,建立一种平等融洽的师生关系,而不是居高临下。绝大多数学生对老师的感情是真诚和纯洁的,如见到老师向老师问声好、节日送老师贺卡等等。老师对学生的这些行为都应该表示感谢。如果学生高高兴兴地说“老师好”,老师却当作耳边风,他们就会认为老师不喜欢自己,从而心生不快,导致师生间的感情疏远。学生之间的差异很大,有的学生内向,而有的学生外向,有的成绩好,学习积极性高,而有的基础差,缺乏学习热情。面对不同个性的学生,老师应该尊重他们,平等对待每一位学生,并因人而异地采用相应的方式去对待他们、教育他们,不可能按照自己的意志,把所有的学生都培养得整齐如一。对学生的不良情绪我们不能视而不见,可以进行批评,但必须掌握批评的方法。老师在批评学生时,一定要分场合,讲究措词,不能想说什么就说什么。尖酸刻薄的言辞会使学生尴尬、羞愧、无地自容,下不了台,伤害他们
