Women still spend hours a week doing chores while men do less, a survey in UK says.

According to the survey, men often do something like throwing clothes into drawers without folding them, while women have to do more chores that are brought by men

However, the survey finds that 4 0ut of 10 couples are doing their chores evenly. "Modern day men do more chores than ever before, and nearly half of all couples now share working and looking after the house together," it said.

The survey also said that two-thirds of women would be happy when men help with the housework, even though they often end up doing the work themselves.

"Although it's impossible for women to do everything themselves...if jobs aren't done as well as they think by their husbands, often many feel they could do better themselves.*"

Perhaps men just don't care as much and don't realize how much work goes into having a clean and tidy home-and after a long day at work they would rather put their feet up than sweep the floor or fold clothes."

Another survey in Canada said that women born 1981 t0 1990 spent more time in the work and less time on housework.

And a cover story "chore wars" by Time last year in the US found that men and women do chores about the same hours when their salary(薪水)is nearly the same.

3. What does the underlined sentence "they would rather put their feet up" mean?

Camping has always been the best way I know to be outside. Whether you prefer to be in the woods, mountains, or swimming in the river, camping is wonderful.

There are a few things you should know about before you leave. First of all you'll need your boots, a tent and of course a backpack. The right boots are an important thing that you'll need. Packs come in all different sizes. For over a week you will need at least a 6,000-inch pack. Your tent should have the main tent, the rain fly (防水布), along with the support poles, and these hold up your tent. You should also bring along a piece of ground cloth. This is a piece of plastic that goes under your tent. It can keep your tent dry and clean from the ground.

During the camping, always remember to keep your things dry and keep them in a zip lock bag.* Use fires only when you must. Fires scar the land. If you do use a fire make sure to use it in the fire rings if possible. Keep noise level down. This way you'll have more of a chance to see wildlife. Always remember that hiking is depending on your personal health. Never be afraid to ask your hiking partners to stop for a break. It's important.

Finally, keep your camera close by. Make sure you don't miss out on the natural wonders. You'll enjoy them later. It's simply great fun to go on camping!

C. support poles

D. drinks and food

4. During the camping, why do people try NOT to use a fire?

A. Because it can destroy the land.

B. Because they don't have the fire rings.

C. Because the smoke is bad for their health.

D. Because they can't take beautiful photos.

5. The underlined word "wildlife" may refer to__________.

A. flowers

B. animals

C. firemen

D. stars
