The movie "Forrest Gump" tells us a story about the whole life of Forrest Gump, whose IQ was only 75 but who has experienced a colorful and unpeaceful life. His love for running made him admitted to a college, become a soccer star and receive President Kennedy's interview. Then he took part in the army, went to the Vietnam and became an entrepreneur after that.
This movie is such an inspiring movie, which has touched countless people. Many classic dialogues in the movie became so famous that some of them are still referenced frequently today. My roommate said Forrest was such a poor man. On the contrary, what a lucky man he was in my mind. Although he was not as smart as normal people, nor did he have a rich family. But the God didn't forget him, these drawbacks gave him many virtues such as persistence and trustworthy which helped him overcome difficulties and gave him opportunities to develop his exercise talents. We should notice that it was these virtues that make him so successful, which we should think over deep on ourselves.
As Forrest's mother said, stupid is as stupid does. Nevertheless, Forrest isn't stupid at all in my opinion, he just turned his "stupid" into his strength unconsciously. It is interesting that he loved running from an early age, so he ran to school, ran to home and ran to everywhere. It may sound a little crazy, but when it comes to ourselves, if we could be keen to do something like Forrest was, how can't we succeed? Forrest kept words for his friend and sold shrimp then he got rich; Forrest kept his promise for Jenny, then his wait finally paid off. It is so thought provoking that the key to Forrest's success is that he just didn't care too much, his wishes were simple and his goal was always clear. Meanwhile, under no circumstances would he turn his back to his friends.
In a word, stupid isn't bad. What makes a man stupid indeed is that he cares too much about self and neglect others. If we try to make our goals more clear, to do things a little more "stupid", we may find this world a little better and we will also be a little happier.
