2)、细节题即平时我们所说的“W”( who, what where ,when, why. Which) 和“H”( how ) 问题

1)Which of the following statement is true?

2)Which of the following is not mentioned in the text?

3)The author ( or the passage) states that___.

4)According to the passage, when ( where, why, how, who, what, which, etc.)___?

1. 是原文信息,但与题目要求不符;

2. 符合常识,但不符合原文内容;

3. 与原文情节极为相似,只是在程度上有些变动;

4. 选项中所提供的信息部分正确,部分错误;

(1)the word “….”In the passage probably means_________.

(2)The word “….”is closed in meaning to________.

(3)“....”could best be replaced by which of the following ?

(4)In the story the underlined word “…”means______

(5)Here “it”means _______

(6)The expression/phrase “…”means_______

(7)The underlined word “it”in the passage refers to_______.

(1)we can infer from the passage that_________

(2)We can guess the writer of the letter may be _________

(3)From the letter we’re learned that it’s very___________

(4)From the story we can guess _______

(5)What would be happy if…__________

(6)The writer believes that________

(7)The writer suggests that________

(1)What’s the passage mainly about ?

(2)What’s the main idea of this passage ?

(3)What’s the topic of this article ?

(4)What’s the best title for this passage ?

(5)The purpose of this passage is to _____

(6)The article has been written to explain_______

(7)We can learn from________

(8)We can infer ________ from this passage .

The writer’s attitude toward ... is_________ .

How did the writer feel …

Let children learn to judge(判断)their own work.A child doesn't learn to talk by being corrected all the time.If he is corrected too much,he will stop talking. He notices a thousand times a day the differences between the language he uses and the language others use.Little by little,he makes the necessary changes to make his language like other people's.In the same way, children learn to do all the other things without being taught﹣to walk, run, climb or ride a bicycle. They compare their performances with those of more skilled people, and slowly make the changes. But in school we never give a child a chance to find out his mistakes and correct them himself. We do it all for him.We thought that he would never notice a mistake unless it was pointed out to him,to correct it unless he has made to.Soon he becomes dependent on the teacher.Let him work out with the help of other children if he wants it.If it is a matter in math or science, give him the answer book.Let him correct his own papers. Why should we teachers waste time on such daily work? Our job should be to help the children when they tell us that he can't find the way to get the right answer.Let the children learn what all educated persons must learn, how to measure(估量)their own understanding, how to know what they know or do not know.

According to a 2018 study from San Francisco State University, nearly 2. 4 billion people around the world used a smartphone in 2017. By the end of 2019, more than a third of the global population will be using a smartphone. However, smartphone technology can be a double-edged sword. On the one hand, it sends us unlimited amounts of information. On the other hand, using a smartphone may become an addiction. Erik Peper and Richard Harvey are both health education professors at San Francisco State university. They led the study. Peper explains that smartphone addiction forms connections in the brain that are similar to drug addiction. And these connections form slowly over time. Also, addiction to social media may affect our emotional state. The two professors asked 135 university students about their habit of smartphone use and their feelings. They found that students who used their phones the most reported higher levels of feeling lonely, depressed and anxious. Peper and Harvey do not blame users for their technology addiction. They believe it is the tech industry's desire to make more money that is to blame for the technology addiction. The researchers warm that workers in the technology industry know how to control our brains and turn us into addicts. But the researchers say that we can limit our brains to be less addicted to our phones and computers. Enk Peper suggests timing off our phones before we sleep or do something important. The researchers also suggest taking control of when and where you answer texts or emails. You do not need to answer them all. And you certainly don't need to answer them as soon as you get them. They also suggest putting limits on the time you spend on social media. If you want to catch up with friends on Facebook, set aside a small amount of time to it. You should focus on important tasks and do not allow technology to disturb you. (1)What can we infer from Paragraph 1? A. Smartphone use has become extremely common. B. Most young people can't live without smartphones. C. Smartphones make our life more colorful and convenient. D. Most people consider smartphones as the greatest invention. (2)The underlined sentence in Paragraph 2 means smartphone technology____. A. has a brilliant future B. can be better than most people think C. has both advantages and disadvantages D. can give us unlimited amounts of information (3)What did Enk Peper and Richard Harvey find about smartphone use? A. It can help reduce loneliness. B. It's more popular with students.

Bank, companies, and government agencies use secret code in doing business, especially when information is sent by computer. People have used secret codes for thousands of years. 36 Code breaking never lags (落后) behind code making. The science of decoding and reading coded messages is called cryptography. There are three main types of cryptography. 37 For example, the first letters a re “My elephant eats too many eels” spell out the hidden message “Meet me.” 38 You might represent each letter with a number, for example, let’s number the letters of the alphabet, in order, from 1 to 26. If we substitute a number for each letter, th e message “Meet me” would read “1 3 5 20 13 5”. A code uses symbols to replace words, phrases, or sentences. To read the message of a real code, you must have a code book. 39 For example, “bridge” might stand for “meet” and “out” might stand for “me”.The message “bridge out” would actually mean “Meet me”. 40 However, it

That cold January night, I was growing sick of my life in San Francisco. There I was, walking home at one in the morning after a tiring practice at the theatre. With opening night only a week away, I was still learning my lines. I was having trouble dealing with my part-time job at the bank and my acting at night at the same time. As I walked, I thought seriously about giving up both acting and San Francisco. City life had become too much for me. As I walked down empty streets under tall buildings, I felt very small and cold. I began running, both to keep warm and to keep away from any possible robbers (抢劫犯). Very few people were still out except a few sad-looking homeless people under blankets. About a block from my apartment (公寓房间), I heard a sound behind me. I turned quickly, half expecting to see someone with a knife or a gun. The street was empty. All I saw was a shining street-light. Still, the noise had made me nervous, so I started to run faster. Not until I reached my apartment building and unlocked the door did I realize what the noise had been. It had been my wallet falling to the street. Suddenly I wasn't cold or tired any more, and I ran out of the door and back to where I'd heard the noise. Although I searched the street anxiously for fifteen minutes, my wallet was nowhere to be found. Just as I was about to give up the search, I heard the garbage truck (垃圾车) pull up to the street next to me. When a voice called from the inside, "Alisa Camacho?" I thought I was dreaming. How could this man know my name? The door opened, and out jumped a small red-haired man with an amused look in his eyes. "Is this what you're looking for?" he asked, holding up a small square shape. It was nearly 3 a.m. by the time I got into bed. I wouldn't get much sleep that night, but I had got my wallet back. I also had got back some enjoyment of city life. I realized that the city couldn't be a bad place as long as people were willing to help each other. (1)How did the writer feel when she was walking home after work? A. Cold and sick. B. Fortunate and helpful. C. Disappointed and helpless. D. Satisfied and cheerful. (2)From the first paragraph, we learn that the writer was busy _________. Recently, a man in Shanghai was fined (罚款)1,000 yuan for stealing a shared bike. Besides, the damage to the QR codes on the bikes has brought huge losses to bike-sharing companies, like Mobike. If the QR code is damaged, the bike cannot be used any more. It can take several hundred yuan for the company workers to find a lost bike and get it repaired. Mobike has 100 credit (信用) scores for each user. Penalty (惩罚)points will be taken in case of users? bad behaviors. Once the score drops to below 80, bike rental will go up to five yuan per 30 minutes. However, punishment may not be the best way to stop shared bikes from being stolen or damaged. Bike-sharing services will work well only if people follow the rules and show respect for the bikes and other users. 1. Why do many cities have offered bike-sharing? A.To provide convenience to travelers. B. To reduce traffic jams and air pollution. C. To make money for the company by renting. D. To encourage more people to excise by riding. 2. If Mr. Li credit scores is 80, he should pay for _____ his one hour?s riding shared Mobike. A. five Yuan B. eighty Yuan C. ten Yuan D. fifteen Yuan

C A new commodity brings about a highly profitable,fast-growing industry, urging antitrust(反垄断)regulators to step in to check those who control its flow. A century ago,the resource in question was oil. Now similar concerns are being raised by the giants(巨头)that deal in data, the oil of the digital age. The most valuable firms are Google,Amazon, Facebook and Microsoft. All look unstoppable. Such situations have led to calls for the tech giants to be broken up. But size alone is not a crime. The giants' success has benefited consumers. Few want to live without search engines or a quick delivery. Far from charging consumers high prices, many of these services are free (users pay, in effect, by handing over yet more data). And the appearance of new-born giants suggests that newcomers can make waves, too. But there is cause for concern. The internet has made data abundant, all-present and far more valuable, changing the nature of data and competition. Google initially used the data collected from users to target advertising better. But recently it has discovered that data can be turned into new services: translation and visual recognition, to be sold to other companies. Internet companies’ control of data gives them enormous power. So they have a “God’s eye view” of activities in their own markets and beyond. This nature of data makes the antitrust measures of the past less useful. Breaking up firms like Google into five small ones would not stop remaking
