Dear editor,

I am writing to express my view on the movie and music piracy. Last year, the Hong Kong Government convicted a person of infringing copyright successfully, who uploaded copyrighted movies to his server and allowed other users to download them. For this incident, I am highly disappointed of the Internet user because they infringed the effort that the copyright owner paid. It is morally wrong to upload or download the piracy music and videos illegally. In addition, this phenomenon means the Hong Kong’s intellectual property is being exploited. If this phenomenon continues, it is believed that Hong Kong will not have good music or video anymore.

According to a research from some Universities in Hong Kong, it was found that the different age groups had different reasons of the download or

upload the piracy music or videos. The research is divided into two age groups to carry out, a group of teenagers and a group of adults. The research found the reason of most teenagers download or upload the piracy music and videos is that they lack of money and resources. On account of their process of studying, they undoubtedly lack of money and resources to purchase the expensive original CDs or movies. Therefore, the only way they can enjoy the music or videos is to download them from the internet. And for the adults group, the reason is convenient. Nowadays, downloading materials from the internet is very convenient. In addition to the huge resources from the internet, the download time is just for a moment. Therefore, these advantages attracted them to download the piracy music or videos from the internet. They would not go to the store for the original CDs or movies.

In this changing society, many citizens are being turned into criminals simply because of the illegal uploading or downloading. As a consequence, the regulations need to be tightening up. And the Government needs to strengthen the law enforcement to crack down on this kind of Internet crimes. For example, formulate new laws to limit the illegal uploading or downloading behavior. Also, the education is significant. No matter how strict the regulation is, if the students are lack of this kind of knowledge, it will surely become a vicious cycle. The criminals will continuously appear in the coming future.

To summaries, if the Government still doesn’t face to this problem, the intellectual property will be disappeared in Hong Kong. All creativity companies will be closed or moved to other countries because of the illegal downloading or uploading. So, I earnestly request the Hong Kong Government to solve this problem immediately.

I am writing to express my views on the playground vandalism near my housing estate. The housing estate where I live in in the New Territories has many excellent facilities. While most people treat them properly, there are some people destroy all these valuable public resources. The playground equipment is heavily damaged. Some facilities are burned and broken. The graffiti are completely covered all over the place. Some of the graffiti even includes bad language. It’s adversely influence the children safety and our precious public resources.

The reason of this vandalism is mainly related to the people who are out of boredom and the shortage of security. Nowadays, most teenagers like to spend their time through hanging out with friends. When they have nothing to play or any recreational activities, the playground may be targeted as an amusement for spending their time. Due to teenagers are now in the process of building self-worth and self-esteem, they will try to do something over in order to get the peer recognition. For instant, the teenagers pretend to be a leader through destroying the facilities. In these recent years, these selfish and irresponsible behaviors under the fabricating, exaggerating from social media, started becoming rationalized. That’s why the playground vandalism happens. Secondly, it is because of the shortage of security guards. If there is security guard checking the playground regularly, to deter any vandalism promptly, this phenomenon will not happen.

To solve the problem, establishing a youth centre and forming a management committee are the best ways to solve the problem. Since Teenagers are having more free time, their needs of recreational activity are relatively elevated. Therefore, if there’s any activity or place to let them spend their free time, they will naturally lose interest in the destruction of the park, so as to protect the playground’s facilities and relieve the serious vandalism efficaciously. Establishing a youth centre is the best way to let the teenagers getting the community involved and spends their free time. In the youth centre, it will be provided some sporting equipment, chess game for them to play. Also, the youth centre will organize some activities for teenagers to enrich their life and help them to build up self-esteem, responsibility and self-worth. Let them can get into the community involved in the future easily.

Second, it’s about the security. Due to the shortage of security guard, the teenagers can go to destroy the park whenever they want. Nobody cares about it and looks after the place. It’s conceivable that the vandalism will continuously happen if there isn’t any security guard. In contrast, if there is a management committee to supervise the playground, patrol it regularly, teenagers will behave more appropriate if they know that someone is watching them, so as to protect our facilities.

The situation now needs urgent attention! The existing playground is broken and dangerous for young children to play in. It’s not just vandalism, is a danger bomb in the society! If the problem cannot be solved promptly, it will become a vicious cycle, fully threaten our children safety and our daily life. Therefore, I earnestly urge the relevant departments to face and solve this problem immediately, so as to protect our children and facilities.

In recent years, thousands and thousands of people leave the comforts of their homes to study in countries such as united states,Canada,England and so on. What’s more, more and more people study abroad become younger. Why do they do it? The problem is worthy of serious consideration.

Everything has tow sides. Not only has the advantages but also has disadvantages, including studying abroad. On the one hand, the developed countries are more advanced in education, philosophy and teaching facilities, students can receive better education. On the other hand , different countries have different cultural .Contacting with with different people on their own is also a kind of exercise. People learn about the culture of other countries , they can improve their connotation of self–cultivation. It’s benefical for us to develop in the future. Not only can they make more friends ,but also they can learn more languages.

But living and studying in another countries can also have its problem. On the one hand, if the students’ age is too small, it’s difficult for them to solve the problem of life. They bear a great pressure, not just the life pressure,but more of psychological pressure. Today’s students lack of lief experience,live a long time in foreign country, the kind of homesickness and persistent loneliness, not everyone can handle! On the other hand,study abroad is expensive.A lot of families do not have this ability. It’s difficult to adapt to the local customs and hard to commuication with other People. So I think that when students have a Strong physique, positive attitude and good ability to adapt, they can consider

to study abroad.

As we know,There is denying that there are many advantages in study abroad . In my opinion.For some wealthy families, they can afford the expensive in foreign countries.Due to the rapid development of economy in recent years, more People study abroad has became an inevtable trend.

If I have the chance to go abroad to study, I want to go to USA. First of all.I Will learn the local language,so that i can solve the language barrier. Then, I Will choose the computer professional.I must be hardworking,because my goal is to get a master’s degree. Then, IWill work for a few yeas after I graduate.It can help me to accumulate experience, and then,I Will go to the famous city Silicon Valley of America to apply for a technical staff. But I can’t stay in a foreign countries all the time. In ord er to serve the motherland,i Will return to our ”Big House”when I become a good technical personnel. I believe that many People dream to study abroad. I am no exception! There are many good things waiting for us to discover in the world ! So I want to go abroad. In this way ,I can learn more knowledge and culture.
