Silent films set up America’s movie industry. But many of these films from the early 1900s no longer exist. A new project aims to represent the flavor of these movies by digitizing (数字化)old advertisements for them and publishing the materials online.

The idea for the project came from Chicago-based collector Dwight Cleveland, who was introduced to the silent movie advertisements, also called

Allen’s piece “Theatre D’opéra Spatial”-which he created with Al image generator Midjourney -won first place in the emerging artist division’s “digital arts photography” category at the Colorado State Fair Fine Arts Competition.
