First of all, young people prefer to set some celebrities they love as their model, follow their ways of success. For example, a child who want to be a successful businessman would like to set Bill Gates as his example to encourage himself. They tend to enter in society at a very young age like in elementary school. Through a series of social practice, young people harvest not only knowledge but also a kind of spirit, whatever do anything, persistence is the most important virtue. company. So influenced by celebrities, young people have more choices to regular their time and experience, while the older people may have no such opportunities. However, some people regard it as a detriment to people because it will take a lot of time to follow their team to go around the nation or even the world. Moreover, the money placed on the plane tickets, the fees spend on the match or the cash directed towards souvenir is too pricey. While I can see why those people may consider it as a waste of both time and money, I cannot agree.

From a time standpoint, as a means of relaxing, it is necessary to take time on different kinds of team activities. Watching a game is not only a visual enjoyment, but also a way to feel the power of team work and courage, to experience the either win or lose along with their favorite teams and to reduce their pressure from daily works and schooling by laughing, cheering and dancing with other fans, all of which will stay with us long into the future in the form of memories, of which the value cannot be measured by a price.

In fact, being a fan is not negative but positive to oneself to their emotional and physical development. Nowadays, there are enormous amount of violent and sexual contents on the screen which can be a big detriment to one's mental health. On the international level, there are treaties such as the Kyoto Protocol that seek to reign in the greenhouse gas emissions of various countries.

Factoring the potential long-term costs of environmental recovery, the costs are even higher. Damage to forests, for instance, does not just mean the

The actual costs and figures are now there to back all this up, so countries can start to make informed environmental decisions based on this data.

Granted, there may be some cause to remain cynical about things showing much improvement—after all, today there are more cars on the road than ever; industries are booming; fossil fuel consumption is at an all-time high; and many developing countries hold the (not entirely unreasonable) attitude that, "You guys had your chance to pollute and grow, why are you now denying us ours?" Over the last decades, many advanced technological invents make our life easier and more enjoyable have proved to have unwanted and often unexpected effects on environment. City air is contaminated by toxic gases from vehicle exhausted, deforestation and burning of fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gases released carbon dioxide and other substance known as greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, and once the offshore drilling leakage that cause massive oil explosion in the Gulf of Mexico. All these problems mentioned above can’t be solved in short time. It needs a long time to change the current condition. For example, England was once a city of fog during 19 century. At that time many people died from the polluted air. It cost more than 100 years for English people to change the condition and finally England converted to be a place agreed to live.

First of all, among all merits promised by technologies, none deserved to be more crucial than efficiency. Because it is universally acknowledged that the advanced technologies can definitely shorten the distance between individuals. For example, telephone, the most convenient electrical equipment, can help us contact with each other without having a face to face talk. Last time, when my family had a trip abroad, he received an e-mail which required him to deal with an important business case that would determine his promotion. However, because my father did not have enough time to go back to have a talk with his client, he was very frustrated. Just before he decided to go back helplessly, my mother advised him to deal with it though telephones. After hearing about this suggestion, my father thought that it paid to have a try. Consequently, he successfully solved the problem with the help of the telephone. But for telephones, my father would not have been successful today.

Secondly, we cannot ignore the importance of airplane when we have a trip. Because airplane can immensely reduce time needed to travel. The case of my brother, Tom, would add great weight to this reasoning. A few years ago, Tom decided to achieve his goal to travel 10 cities in my country. Nevertheless, he only had two months to finish it, since he had to study abroad. So, it meant that he would not accomplish his goal in time. As expected, at the first month, he only traveled 4 cities by driving his car. After calculating how much time left, he decided to travel the others though airplane which would increase his chance to achieve his goal. Eventually, after one-month traveling via airplane he successfully realized his goal which had been haunting on his mind for 20 years.

To sum up, not only can telephones shorten distance between individuals, but also airplane can reduce time we need to travel. We can never fail to say that advanced technologies have definitely make our lives much simpler.

9 The best leaders should admit if they made a bad decision

A good leader has plentiful of features such as sense of humor, patience and leadership that make him or her a perfect leader. However, when it comes to decision making, people’s opinions differ. In my perspectives, best leaders are those who are willing to admit if they have made improper decisions.

I shall illustrate my points in the following paragraphs.

First and foremost, admitting of the wrong decisions that are made reflects leaders’ broad minds, which are a must to best leaders. To err is a man. Nobody makes no mistake, but not everyone admit they make bad decisions due to vain self-esteem. Those who are willing to or even like to admit the wrong decision are broad-minded, and people will respect these kind of people. A recent survey about what sort of bosses employees like conducted by a prodigious institute in

United States showed that 70% of employees vote for boss who are broad-minded. Therefore, admitting inappropriate decisions makes a leader outstanding.

Another equally important factor is that admission of bad decision making can help a leader avoid errors when faced with similar problems again. Of course, concerning the development of a company or a group, it will be optimal for leaders to make less mistake. Denial of making bad decision may be an idea to make that but not a good one. In a long run, it will be better to admit making wrong decisions in order to avoid similar challenges in the future. Covering mistakes all the time will eventually destroy a company or a group.

Last but not least, denial of making wrong decision show that the leaders have no courage to face what they have done while courage is a vital characteristic for a top leader. There is little doubt that the courage of leader plays a significant part for developments of a company or a group. Without courage to make breakthroughs, it is hard to imagine how a company could survive in the fierce competitions among the modern society. However, denial of making bad decision just show the lack of courage. Therefore, the leader cannot be regarded in the circle of best leaders.

In a nutshell, the admission of making bad decisions can show their broad mind and courage. In order to avoid the similar problems, best leaders should be willing to admit what they have done. Hence, I reinforce my point of view that best leaders are those who are willing to admit if they have made a bad decision.

I cling to an unshakeable belie f that his comment gives answer to this question that people should be polite to each other no matter how busy and crowed the world is.

To begin with, politeness help people to enhance work efficiency. People who are blessed with a friendly environment are able to pay more attention to their work rather than the conflicts. For instance, in today’s society, everyone are facing a great deal of pressure that may make people ignore the extremely significant value of polite. If we always yell or shout at other coworkers, we may become less welcomed and even have some conflicts with others, which distract us from our daily work. In addition, when we attend to a business negotiation, polite is a prerequisite for people to achieve success. Therefore, In order to promote work efficiency, we should be polite to others, thus helping us to have an excellent performance.

In addition, politeness is beneficial to make intimate friends. Under no circumstance would people like to make friends who is very rude. According to a survey conducted by Peking University, people tend to make friends with people who is polite to others. Moreover, if a person who is always smiling to his friends and helping others who are in a dilemma are more likely to be optimistic, open and kind. As a result, Not only could politeness make us more attractive, but also could be beneficial for us to make friends.

Admittedly, people may be less polite in some emergency situation. For instance, when a police is in a criminal scene, being polite seems to be impossible and useless to arrest the criminal. Besides,

a man is also impossible to say hello to others if his wife is going to give birth a baby. However, in most cases, we should be polite to others.
