高中英语阅读课教学设计 唐灶兴 高中英语阅读课文具有题材广泛、体裁各样、语言知识丰富等特征,是各单元教学的核心部分,也是培养学生阅读能力的主要渠道。然而,传统的阅读课教学模式常常是单一的自下而上模式,教学方式只是把课文作为单纯向学生传授语法及语言知识的载体,忽视了培养学生的阅读速度和理解能力;传统的阅读理解提问方式也常常停留在对所阅读文章的表层理解层次上。那么,如何借助这些课文来提高学生的阅读速度、阅读理解能力和语言水平呢?经过教学实践和不断尝试,笔者发现:不同阅读活动阶段,必须采用不同阅读理解模式以求不同阅读教学目标的实现。下面以人教版高中英语为例: Book 1A Unit 7 "Earthquakes" 单元阅读课为例对这一问题进行探析。 一、First–reading 采用自上而下模式,侧重培养快速阅读理解能力 “自上而下的模式”是哥德曼(Goodman)1971年提出的阅读理论模式。这一理论反对把阅读看成是对一系列词句的知觉,认为阅读者不必使用全部文本中的提示,他们在文章中挑选和选择足够的信息来作出预测,用他们自己的经验和有关客观世界的知识去验证他们的预测。按这个模式,阅读者在阅读过程中不是逐字、逐句地去理解,

而是结合自己的预测,在文章中找出有关的信息,来验证自己的预测。该模式有利有弊,弊在对学生语言基础知识的掌握不利,容易造成学生语言基本功不扎实。然而,由于强调整体篇章理解,在阅读时采取跳跃式搜索、猜测等方法,所以有利于培养学生快速阅读理解能力。 阅读速度的培养是阅读教学中一个重要的任务。目前,中学生阅读能力在速度上与可能达到的指标相比普遍要低几倍,甚至十几倍。随着信息时代的到来,人们急需尽快获取各种信息资料,成倍提高工作效率与学习效果,培养学生的快速阅读理解能力是实施英语素质教育的必然要求。然而,训练学生阅读速度必须建立在学生对文章容处于陌生状态的基础上,因此,在学生初次接触阅读课文时,应该采用自上而下阅读模式,不失时机地培养他们的快速阅读习惯、快速阅读理解能力。这一阶段的教学设计主要如下: 1、引入题材。可采用设疑悬念、直观导入、故事导入等引入方式。 2、进行快阅。可向学生介绍组读法、察读法、浏读法、略读法、跳读法等快速阅读方法。 3、检测理解。可采用问答题、判断题、选择题、做笔记、填图表等检测形式。 附SEFC Book IA Lesson 26 & Lesson 27 阅读理解问答题: 1) Which was the USA's strongest earthquakes ? 2) How many people lost their lives and how many people lost theirhomes in the 1906 earthquake ?

本文为自本人珍藏版权所有仅供参考 新课程理念下的高中英语阅读课堂教学 随着新一轮课程改革的开始和新教材的实施,教育的重点不仅是观念的更新,更应是对教育实践的探索。阅读是我国学生接触英语的主要途径,阅读各类英语读物可以帮助扩大词汇量,加深对英语的认识,了解英语国家的文化,在很大程度上影响听、说、读和写的水平的提高。而且随着高考对学生英语综合能力考查力度的加大,阅读理解部分也成为英语成绩高低的关键所在。因此,探索一条适应学生的高中英语阅读课教学之路正是适应新课改的要求。一、明确阅读教学目的 在过去,我们经常可以在教室中看到这样的教学模式:先教生词,再讲语法,逐句讲解,朗读背诵和大量模仿。阅读课堂成为了强调语言知识(如语法词汇知识)获得的途径。 《普通高中英语课程标准》(实验)明确提出:“高中英语课程应根据高中学生的特点和学习发展的需要,在进一步发展学生基本语言运用能力的同时,着重提高学生用英语获取信息、运用信息、处理信息、分析和解决问题的能力;逐步培养学生用英语进行思维和表达的能力;为学生进一步学习和发展创造必要的条件。”也就是说,阅读教学不仅仅是为了掌握一定的语言知识,而且要从中获取有用的信息,同时掌握一些阅读的技能技巧。概括起来,阅读教学的目的至少应包括以下几点:1.扩充学生的词汇和习语;2.扩充和巩固学生的语法项目; 3.发展一般性的阅读技能; 4.掌握推导性的阅读技能; 5.掌握批判性的阅读技能; 6.通过各种技能获取有用的信息。 阅读教学的成功与否,与教师对阅读教学目的的认识有关。因此,我们首先要明确阅读教学的目的,才能使教学有一个明确的方向。 二、讲究阅读教学方法 提高高中英语阅读课堂教学的质量,教学方法至关重要。根据动态真实原则,运用教学方法和技巧是为了帮助学生获得知识和能力。本文从不同的角度来介绍两种行之有效的阅读方法,以供在英语教学实践中借鉴和运用。 (一)按阅读理解层次引导学生阅读法 我们可以从五个层面上把握阅读文章:把握中心思想层,概括段落大意层,深入剖析文章层,摘录背诵佳句层和换位思考命题层。这些层次有涉及基础的,如第三层---深入剖析文章层与第四层---摘录背诵佳句层,就是关于如何突破词汇与难句的。也有涉及宏观方面的,如第一层---把握中心思想层与第二层---概括段落大意层。还有涉及命题思路的,如第五层---换位思考命题层。下面对上述五个层次做进一步的解释: 1.把握中心思想层 所谓把握中心思想,就是根据文章的宏观结构或各段首句确定本文的主题。例如,有的文章主要论述一个核心概念,那么这个核心概念就是文章主题。了解文章的宏观结构对于把握中心思想非常重要。 2.概括段落大意层 一般而言,段落大意可以从段首句概括。但有时段落中心不明显,需要寻找一段中反复出现的关键词或有转折的地方。所以阅读时可以用一两个词或词组概括一个段落的大意,并把意思相近的自然段合并总结。对于短期记忆力欠佳的同学更是如此。 3.深入剖析文章层 以自然段为单位剖析文章,对文中的单词、词组进行记忆,对长难句进行精确分析,找出主干。 4.摘录背诵佳句层 在吃透原文、做完习题以后,可以对原文进行总结。对于有些篇章,至少是文中的好词佳句,
